This cottage was nothing but amazing! We have stayed in plenty of short term rentals and this was the most well appointed and furnished. Down to the quality of the mattresses, towels and kitchen equipment, very well done! Thank you for a comfortable and wonderful vacation!

My husband and I spent 9 nites at the La Fayette Street Cottage during the Christmas Holiday 2022. We have stayed in 3 other rental properties in Beaufort over the past 2 years and by far this was simply the best! The cottage has taken on a major transformation and the attention to detail really shows. You can not go wrong staying at this cottage. Palo and Stephanie are most gracious hosts and truly want you to have an amazing stay. If you love the charm of a small, southern town and nature you will not be disappointed. The property exceeded our expectations. It was clean and adequately set up to meet all of our needs. We traveled for Marine Boot Camp graduation and the drive to Parris Island didn't even feel like 20 minutes. We will definitely be coming back here if we ever need to travel to the area again!

Wonderful experience!! This cottage is a beautiful gem!! The owners put a lot of love and time into this renovated home. The attention to detail to a travelers needs is spot on. The moment you pull up you are greeted with a homey feel. The porch alone makes you want to ‘come and sit for a while’. Walking in you feel the warmth with the ambience of lighting and soft music playing. The renovation story is so interesting. From the snack bowl, to the beach pass, the booklet full of information on things to do in the area, fully stocked kitchen, stocked bathrooms, the shed with beach items, corn hole and bicycle. This place has it all!! The little pond out back and the fire pit are an extra bonus with this rental. We were very pleased and would love to stay here again!!

We are two couples who have vacationed together for several years. For this trip, we chose Beaufort due to its low country island climate and many historical attractions, as well as its proximity to Savanah and Hilton Head. We picked Palo's and Stephanie's Peaceful Cottage due to its exceptional reviews, and it did not disappoint. Our only regret was in having to leave. We've stayed at many VRBO's and vacation rentals in and out of the U.S. and Peaceful Cottage now tops our list. The house is immaculate, charming and tastefully decorated .The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a meal or if you choose, the grill on the back deck awaits. The beds and seating areas were extremely comfortable. When we weren't out exploring downtown or voyaging out to explore the Penn Center, Hunting Island or Historic Savanah, we relaxed on the lovely and spacious front porch. The backyard fire pit added to the home's charm and the weather was prefect for cozying up and making s'mores. We loved walking the neighborhood where we could gaze at the river or stroll through one of the quaint nearby parks. The neighbors we encountered were all lovely to greet us. The man next door even brought us delicious oranges from his tree. Since we had everything we needed and encountered no issues, our interaction with our hosts was minimal, however Palo was kind enough to show us the way to the park and assured us they were close by and easily accessible. Thanks again, Palo and Stephanie. We felt so welcomed entering the cottage after a long day of travel to be greeted by a basket of snacks and a bottle of wine!

We were in Beaufort for a wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The hosts were the best and made our stay complete. The train set left out for our 2 1/2 year old grandson was the icing on the cake! All he wanted to do was “go home and play with train”. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Palo and Stephanie!

This was the perfect place for our girls birthday trip! Communication was wonderful and we felt truly welcomed when arrived. Mine only issue was that I had to leave and didn’t get to take advantage of the fire pit area! Next time!

Do Not hesitate to book this Charming Cottage! We have stayed in several VRBO properties, and this beautiful home is at the top of our list! The hosts, Stephanie & Palo, have gone above and beyond in making this beautiful cottage feel like home. Every thoughtful detail provides a more than comfortable stay. The "extras" provided are many and not typically found in many rentals. We found this cottage to be very warm, welcoming and charming. We arrived after dark, Palo contacted us to let us know the cottage was ready and made sure we had the code to get in. He left the outside lights on so we would have no trouble locating the property in the dark. From the moment we stepped in, we felt at home. The lights were on, soft music playing, with a bottle of wine and numerous snacks on the counter. The cottage is comfortable, nicely decorated and spic and span clean! The outside of the property provided a large front porch with comfortable seating, we enjoyed coffee on the porch most mornings. The back yard has a nice deck and fire pit area with firewood provided. Palo was on site when we were preparing to light a fire in the fire pit and was so kind to help us get the fire going. The property is conveniently located in a peaceful neighborhood. We enjoyed reading the information provided on the transformation of the remodel of this cottage, as well as viewing the before/after pictures on a media file on the TV. WOW! What an amazing and beautiful transformation! If you have a chance, take the time to look. If we could rate this property above 5 stars, we would! You will not regret booking this Beaufort Charmer. Sweet historic town with equally charming people. Local dining fare was delicious and served huge portions. Don’t miss Hunting Beach. It’s a hop skip and a jump from your home away from home. Oh, and the kitchen has all you need to cook. Not to mention, the outdoor spaces…front porch for sitting. Back deck for grilling and of course, a fire pit for s’mores. So much fun wrapped up in this get a way. The host was a delight! They truly thought of everything!

We loved our stay here. Stephanie and Palo were the most lovely of hosts and left no need unmet. We especially loved all the thoughtful touches to make it truly feel like home. We've stayed in a lot of home rentals and this was easily one of the best.

Palo and Stephanie have an amazing home that allowed us to getaway for the weekend to enjoy some relaxing time with the family. This was our first time visiting Beaufort and fell in love with it. The house overall had a warm welcoming feel to it as if you lived there for years. It was in close distance to downtown Beaufort and a short drive to some beautiful views. My girls enjoyed riding their scooters to Pigeon Point Park. We were able to visit Hunting Island State Park thanks to Palo and Stephanie. Overall, communication was very easy and great. We were able to meet Palo and Stephanie as we were leaving. It felt as if we had known them for a while. A great experience to a historical town that is almost like a diamond in the rough. We are already looking for another time to visit Beaufort again! If anyone is looking for that being at home feel then this relaxing house is the place to go.

Only issue was that sometimes F-15 fighter jets roared overhead from a nearby Marine air base. Notwithstanding this, I highly recommend this property to enjoy a near perfect rental experience.

My family and I enjoyed staying at this lovely home in Pigeon Point. We have traveled to Beaufort for over 25 years, and we love the area. Stephanie and Paulo's house is one of the best that we have stayed in over the years, and we would love to come back. It was very clean, and the decorations were perfect. I cooked several meals at the house and had everything I needed. We enjoyed the fire pit as well! Thank you!

The cottage on Layfette Street was amazing! Clean, comfortable, and a quiet location. Everything you may need during your stay was provided. The owners were very helpful with local information. We would definitely stay there again.

We travelled to Beaufort from New York during a January ice storm. After a lengthy and stressful drive, we arrived at Stephanie and Palo’s house and felt at ease immediately. We knew right away that we had arrived at our “home away from home.” We spent eight wonderful weeks enjoying this beautiful vacation home. The immaculate house is furnished thoughtfully and comfortably with soothing fabrics, bedding and artwork. The handcrafted furniture and finishes are charming, interesting and welcoming. We enjoyed cooking and baking in the kitchen that’s extremely well-stocked with great cookware, bakeware, appliances, tools and dishes, all of the best quality. The kitchen is also outfitted with beautiful custom cabinetry and countertops. The finishes in this house are of the highest quality. There is absolutely nothing this house is lacking, and in the eight weeks we stayed in this wonderful home we were extremely comfortable. The wide, covered porch has an old-south feel with comfortable seating and fans. We spent many hours sitting on the porch enjoying the magnolias and live oaks on the property. The deck off the kitchen (with a BBQ and very nice deck furniture) and the large fire pit area offered more opportunities for enjoying the mild winter days and evenings. There is a supply of firewood for use with the firepit. We enjoyed walking on the Pigeon Point park trails, watching the sunsets from several waterfront parks in the neighborhood and walking into town. It is a very quiet and charming neighborhood. The house is close to everything that makes Beaufort such an interesting and beautiful place. Recommendations from the owners on recreational activities were always on point, and we enjoyed many day trips both south and north of Beaufort. The hosts, Stephanie and Palo are very welcoming, personable, intelligent and wonderful people! We are looking forward to returning “home” to Beaufort and Stephanie and Palo’s house next winter! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful! We give this home our highest recommendation!

The house was wonderful. Great location, and had everything you could need! Palo and Stephanie even had a little train set, set up when we got there for our twin boys. Would definitely recommend this property and would rent again!

This was my first experience with VRBO. I was so nervous about picking the perfect place to stay for my son's graduation from boot camp. Well let me tell you EVERYTHING about our stay at this adorable cottage was perfect. The beautiful Christmas lights on the front porch to the music playing as we walked in the front door to the bottle of wine and snacks left by Stephanie. Palo, who set up our firepit fire with our new Marine completed the best VRBO/rental experience we have ever had. I definitely recommend this location for Parris Island Graduations!
