Galena's Wooded Retreat, Galena IL Entire Home Vacation Rental, 4 Bed, 3 Bath, 10 Person Occupancy This bright and lovely 4 bedroom/3 bath townhome is located in the resort core near both Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa and the Galena Territory Owners' Club. The main floor has a nice gathering and dining area with wood burning fireplace to cozy up in front of on those white winter evenings! The well-equipped kitchen is open to the gathering area so chef and guests can enjoy some laughs together. The main floor also offers a large bedroom with king bed and full bath with tub/shower combination. The upper level has a bedroom with a king bed and full bath with shower. On the lower level you will find two bedrooms, one with two twin beds, the second with a queen bed, and another full bath. Three of the four bedrooms have TV's. The headlining double feature of this home is the movie and game room on the lower level! Large screen TV to enjoy your movies and popcorn plus a PacMan game console to challenge each other for hours of fun! There are two outdoor decks with wooded views and wildlife sightings. One is off the dining area with gas grill, table and chairs. The second is off the lower-level movie room with a hanging swing for those wind down, wine in your hand, moments! Guest Access As our guests, you will have complimentary access to the Owners' Club amenities which include both an indoor and outdoor pool, a fitness center, large game room, gym, as well as outdoor tennis courts, pickle ball courts and basketball courts. The Owners' Club is located at 2000 Territory Drive. Within the Galena Territory you will also have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful Lake Galena which boasts some of the best fishing in the state of Illinois. Lake Galena Marina has fishing boats, pontoon boats, and kayaks available for rent. Fishing licenses can also be purchased at the marina. Go for a horseback trail ride at Shenandoah Riding Center or just stop by to see the horses grazing in the sun! The Territory has an abundance of walking and hiking paths, enjoy different scenery each day on a morning walk! My family and I were very impressed with the property. It was clean and nice. The location is nice although it gets very dark at night. The only issue was the hot water. We weren’t always able to take a hot shower as the hot water would get very cold. I should have mentioned this and I’m sure the property manager would have helped with the issue but I didn’t reach out as my family and I just learned to adjust to it after while. Other than that, it was very nice, spacious, several of my family members expressed the level of comfort they experienced and all the accessible materials in the home and the resort in general.

Very short drive to what we were doing. The only downside is access from parking lot to the home. Ours was way in the back. Home was clean and worked well for 5 adults.

We appreciated the communication and ease of check in and check out. The destination was everything we expected and we had a super stay.

There were suppose to be 5 of us total, but 1 person became sick and couldn't make it. there would have been plenty of room for 5 of us. This place is a great location for visiting Galena and Dubuque. We went to Dubuque to get our nails done and to ride the elevator up the hill. We also did some shopping there. Then we went to downtown Galena for lots of shopping and eating. We had a lot of fun playing the games that were at the house. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and sitting on the swings below.

We stayed for a long wknd with our family (kids 4, 2 & 4 months) and another family (kids 7 & 3). Our priority for the wknd was to swim, and the pools at the Owner's Club definitely delivered. There was an indoor pool, which was great because it did rain at one point. Everyone loved the big pool, it was busy but plenty big for everyone to play/enjoy. The older kids loved the slides. We also loved the little pool, especially the younger kiddos, as they could walk around with out floaties on, and enjoy the little slide. It was perfect.
The house setup was great for our families, while the living room/kitchen area were a little smaller than we thought, still plenty of room for all of us. The kids all enjoyed the second living room downstairs with the video game machine, and the swings off the deck were really cute.
The property owners were amazing. Calling us prior to coming to see if we had any questions (which I've never had before), and super quick responses, even when we messaged Sunday morning to ask about access to the pool after checkout.
One thing to note, not a bad thing, just something that we weren't sure what to expect...but we do live right in Chicago where we can walk to everything, just to give some perspective on what we're used to. You definitely had to drive to the pool...it's listed as "close", and when we first got there we were shocked that that was considered close...but after seeing how big the territory is it definitely was close, but not walkable.

Just got back from our stay here and it was perfect for our group. Plenty of bedrooms (and bathrooms) for 5 women . Good location. Close enough to go into town when we wanted and also a couple nice restaurants on property if we wanted. (which we ate at 2 out of the 3 nights. ) The property is a little dated but it was comfy and the kitchen was well appointed. We had a couple hiccups (which were addressed quickly) but all in all it was just what we were looking for and we would stay there again. Kristin was very good at communicating with me about all the details of checking in, parking, etc and allowed us to check in a little early which was appreciated.

Stay was pleasant. Property was clean, beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well-equipped. Good communication with proprty mgmt company and we had all the info we needed ahead of time. We did accidentally break a small dish. but mgmt co. was very understanding when we told them about it.

House was perfect for our girls weekend. Felt like we were in treehouse! Walking distance to resort and spa. Use of owners club was great on our rainy weekend.

My family (chicago) and my parents (iowa) came to enjoy a weekend together. Lots of activities at the clubhouse to fill the day, enjoyed that we didn’t have to share bathrooms and had plenty of space to feel comfortable. I do wish there was an optional baby gate for the stairs but we blocked it with chairs to make due. Outside patio was lovely.

Great condo with plenty of space for family of 5 plus grandparents. Short drive to owner's club (where we used the workout room, gym and pool) and to the golf courses. We had a problem with the AC and the owner was very responsive and had an HVAC person there within the hour.
Just to mention, the nearby lake does not allow for swimming so my kids were disappointed that they couldn't go tubing. We did rent a pontoon boat for a few hours for fishing. Kids also had a blast zip lining (about 15 minutes away) and alpine sliding at Chestnut Mountain (about 25 minutes away).

We really enjoyed our stay at the property - very comfortable! Property was exactly as advertised - clean, spacious, and well stocked with all the essentials. The kids loved staying here and had plenty of room to spread out. Would stay here again!

This property is very clean and well decorated and very comfy and well maintained. Perfect location for going to Galena to shop or dine...and so much more! We did not golf but did some fabulous hiking and saw a sweet waterfall and had a couple of hours enjoying beautiful sunny weather on a pontoon boat!!

Always enjoy the Galena area
Really nice townhouse, clean, modern, cozy and a great spot in the Territory. Easy access to both Galena and other areas via Stagecoach. Would stay here again for sure.

Secondly, it was very clean and there were so many thoughtful touches to make the stay comfortable for guests - a welcome gift basket, super cute farmhouse decor, cozy common areas, and comfortable beds/pillows. The back patio has a grill and a nice view of the woods (we even saw a wild turkey running around below, and deer making their way through the forest).
Lastly, the price of the stay included so many amenities. The amenities that we had access to at the owners club were impressive - 3 swimming pools with beautiful views of Galena’s rolling, forested hills, plus a social area to place foosball and pool. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Great house layout!
Ginger was outstanding to work with, great to get away for a few days with the family!
The only thing that you should be prepared for though, though, it is about 100 yards from the parking lot to the front door of the unit, and you have to go down a decent hill with three sets of stairs. We had we had my in laws with us and it was a little bit difficult for them to go up-and-down the stairs, especially if they had to carry anything, so just be prepared. It doesn't be prepared. Ginger does leave a wagon there to cart thing, but It's something to note that we would have liked to know ahead of time.
Overall an outstanding place and we would definitely come back. House was super clean and a great layout for a whole family to stay.

The last several years we have been spending Fathers’ Day in Galena. This year was no different. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the condo. It was beautifully decorated and well appointed. It had everything we needed plus more. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to our family and friends.

Galena Territoty winner!
Great stat for my girl cousins and I. We enjoyed going into downtown and using the Owners' Club for afternoon swimming during the heat! The house was comfy for all of us. Couple downsides, the hot water ran out quick with a couple showers and the fire alarm went off when using the basement exhaust fan. Otherwise, we overall loved our stay!

We had a group of eight friends together for the weekend and this place was absolutely perfect for it! We loved every bit of it.

Good place we had a great time and the location is perfect just min from everything.
The only thing is we found live spiders in the house and a spider in one of the beds between the covers. Also the hot water runs out not enough for a group of 10 so showers would have to be on hold for some.
