One of our favorite places to rent on Kentucky Lake!

My family of five had a blast at this wonderful home. The ping pong table and pool table kept the kids entertained. The Wi-Fi was great. The cutlery was great for meal prep, which is not always the case at VRBOs. The dock was in great condition for our boat all weekend long. The access to the boat ramp was ideal. I highly recommend this property!

We so enjoyed this property. The pool table & ping pong table was a big hit!! But I think my most favorite spot was the bench on the dock. It was the perfect reading spot.

Tom’s home on Kentucky Lake was a beautiful place to find a peaceful respite and solitude. I wanted to comment on reviews I read that were not what I experienced when I arrived. Someone said it was at the end of maintained roads. Maybe they were from “the city,” but there is two-lane paved road all the way up to the turn into the “neighborhood” where it is still asphalt road in good condition. Someone also said the path to the lake was not maintained. I don’t know how it could be better maintained unless someone wanted a wooden or paved walkway through the woods. We were able to easily walk down the clear path from the house to the dock. It is a gravel path but easy to see and walk. Coffee or wine on the dock was a daily pleasure! Things to note: 1. There’s no ladder at the dock. That would have been helpful as we had tubes to float around and we (45-55 year old females) found it a little challenging to get back up on the dock. 2. There are two full bathrooms in the house. One is on the bottom floor and one is on the top floor. This wasn’t an issue for us as it ended up being two females and we shared the main floor bathroom, if needed. However, if our husbands had come as originally planned, it would’ve been a little more awkward as both of the main bedrooms are on the top floor. There was also no Murphy bed, as stated, but a full-size futon was downstairs. 3. Spices and basic kitchen necessities were well stocked and appreciated. We got groceries on our way to the house and also went into Murray for dinner at The Keg one night. We also enjoyed the drive through the Land Between the Lakes and a nice dinner at Patti’s Settlement.

The home is exactly as described. Plenty of room for our family. The teenagers loved having the basement all to themselves. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is stocked with everything you possibly need during your stay. Boat dock is just a short walk and we enjoyed our time on the water. Boat launch is so close as well. Overall a great home with all the amenities you'll need.

This house is great. Our family loved it. The way it is set up allows for everyone to have space or hang out together in comfort. I enjoyed the sun room and the peaceful dock in the mornings. We all played the bingo game there in the game room downstairs. When it comes to family time, two bathrooms is clutch :) The kitchen is open and well appointed and stocked. The path to the dock was easy enough and the kids had a blast swimming all day. We rented a pontoon boat with slides locally and it was great being able to dock on our own private spot and grab lunch at home. We utilized the BBQ's and they already had propane. There was soap for the laundry, bathroom stuff, paper towels and other items no brings with them on vacation, which was nice. The directions were simple, the code worked the first time and the owner replied quickly to all questions. The store really wasn't that far, maybe 20 mins. I'm so happy to have found this spot, we will definately be back!

This was one of the most well-appointed homes we've ever rented. The decor helped us truly get away from home but retained all the comforts of home. It was clean, low-maintenance, and had space for everyone in the family to either spend time in solitude or for us all to gather together. The lake was always in view from the main living areas and 3 and 4 season bonus rooms. I cook a lot and always bring my own chef knife when renting because the kitchens usually just don't "cut it," but this kitchen was fantastic and actually had sharp knives! It's probably a different experience in the summer with more activity on the lake but I was able to get out on my large kayak twice from the public launch one street over. If the water was up just a couple feet, launching from the yard or dock would have been easy, but you have to expect that this time of year. The fire pit was great and in a nice location. The only update I would have appreciated would be an improved path from the house to the lake, but understand the difficulty with the hillside. We did have to contact the owner once (for an answer to a question that actually was in the checkin email) and he responded right away. We have a teenage boy and girl, there was little arguing, they each read books, and said it was fun. We saw a ton of wildlife on the lake and I even caught a few bass from the kayak. A hike and the elk and bison prairie in The Land Between the Lakes was within an easy drive and enjoyable.

This house has everything but losing the dock use was a huge disappointment for us as we can’t have the boat out our back door normally. Quiet serene setting and owner can’t control what TVA does with lake levels!

Super clean, well appointed, comfortable furnishings and tasteful decor. Kitchen was fantastic to work with! Well laid out, great appliances, utensils, dishes, etc. Very roomy, exactly as described in listing. We liked it so much that we extended our stay! Host always picked up the phone! We only called twice; once for internet outage. That was the ISP; this place has battery back-up in event of a power flicker. Other was a question which was answered promptly and cheerfully.

Don't let any of it fool you! The property and house are mature, so peaceful and quiet. The house is older but has had a lot of nice TLC that includes so many modern amenities. The house is cozy comfortable and set up for a family to gather and make memories! You can be close or spread out and do your own thing. There is plenty of comfortable furniture in this house. Kitchen is set up great! The sunroom is a little get away all its own! The dock was perfect for swimming off of; I'd recommend swim shoes since it is a muddy bottom but it offered a lot of afternoon fun! While there are stores they are not real close but that was part of the charm for us since we wanted to do nothing but chill! We brought everything we needed for meals, and with 2 full size refrigerators it was great..plus there's a wine fridge in kitchen!

This is not made clear in the description or photographs that do not show the main view at all. While the lake can be glimpsed from the balcony, it’s 90 degrees from the main direction of the property so we were not able to enjoy the lake view from the balcony like we were expecting based on the photographs. The house is spacious, clean, has games, has nice grill and bathrooms and is well stocked. Dock is very nice. The best view of the lake is the enclosed screen room. The white carpet shows stains and the living room couch (also white) had some stains- that’s to be expected due to the color. Again, property is nice. Just wish the description and pictures had set out expectations of the view appropriately.

If you’re looking for a rustic getaway this is it. Lots of family time was enjoyed in this home and the property surrounding it. The den was a hit with the kids, pool table, ping pong table, their own space to enjoy. Our kids are already asking when we can go back. I only wished we could have brought our dog, I would have payed lots for that option.

Awesome home and great location!! Very clean and well-appointed...we felt right at home. Beds were very comfortable and the home had plenty of room for two teenagers to have their own space. Had an wonderful time on the water (borrowed a boat and brought our kayaks) and hanging out on the beautiful dock. Did some fishing, too. When we weren't on the water, we were playing ping pong and pool in the basement, or hanging out on the deck. It was absolutely perfect and we can't wait to come back in the Fall!!!

We had a lovely Fathers’ Day weekend at this lake cabin! Everything was very clean and WELL STOCKED!! Cooking needs, spiced, even down to aluminum foil and cooking spray. Camp chairs were included which we thought was nice, and the dock was so lovely to enjoy! We brought our own kayaks to use right off the dock, and had a picnic breakfast on the dock on our last day. The swing by the lake was the best place to enjoy coffee and the sunrise. This is a more rural retreat, very quiet and peaceful. We even saw an owl one night, using the binoculars in the sunroom! There were games, plenty of towels, cookware, bath products, and books in the cabin. I will say, it is a bit uneven walking down to the lake from the cabin, which may not be big seam to most guests, but with my half-blind mother and daughter with a disability, we just had to be extra careful. There is also not very much lighting at night as far as roads or lights to the lane which was not a problem for us since flashlights were even provided by the hosts! Overall our group of 4 adults and two kiddos (6 and 8) had a memorable time. Thank you as well to the hosts for quick responses and for stocking your lake house so well! We only regret that we didn’t use the fire pit or the screened porch fireplace due to the heat/humidity. Maybe next time!

The owners of this house are truly blessed to have such a nice house and location. We loved this house. It was immaculately clean. Great location on the lake. Nice decor and touches throughout the house. Plenty of room. Sunroom. screened in porch with fireplace. Brand new gas grill and firepit (used them both). Several TV's. Gameroom. Could tell the owner really wanted it to be nice for guests. Would be plenty of room for a large family to spread out in different areas. Will be back for sure!

We had a nice stay. Comfortable accommodations, nicely decorated, loved addition of the pool table. Convenient for fishing.

What a great space! Super clean! Tom was great to work with, and got back to me very quickly when I had a question about a couple of things. Would recommend access to canoes or kayaks - even for an additional fee – I would’ve paid big bucks for that. All in all, a great experience and would definitely rent again!
