The neighborhood is being revitalized, so outside was a not 5-star. But the inside was great. I would have enjoyed having somewhere to hang my dresses. There are no closets. The hosts were very accommodating with our special requests.

My husband and I booked this for 2 nights, but only stayed for 1 night, as we left a day early for Austin.
The space is unique, and the location was good, being very close to the Riverwalk area.
I am sensitive to noise, and it was very loud here. We could hear the neighbors upstairs very easily, even though they weren't being particularly loud. The house sits very close to the road, which didn't appear to be a main road, but had a lot of traffic. The bedroom is just feet away from the road. The blinds in the bedroom do not sit against the window, and create a big gap to see in and out of that window, right beside the bed.
There was only 1 wash cloth in the bathroom, and there was no toaster, so we had to broil our english muffins. The parking is shared, and we had a hard time getting in and out of the driveway because of another vehicle in the drive that belonged to the upstairs renters.
The host was responsive to my messages, which I appreciated.

Just as advertised, no pain no strain. Enjoyed our stay, thanks.

We came down for a little getaway before our business conference. The house was perfect for what we needed & very beautiful!!
The communication with the owners was fabulous with the changes that we made to our reservation to helping navigate local must to even having extra towels sent over as our stay was extended.
Perfect walking distance to downtown/riverwalk/Alamodome!
If we are ever in San Antonio again— we will stay here!!!!

This location is a little over a mile to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. My wife and I liked this because it was walkable to those locations. I was impressed with the spacious living area. The bathroom was a bit smaller but still comfortable. The bedroom was comfortable. I appreciated that the owners provided a fan as the AC System did not seem to cool the bedroom as well. With the fan it was a comfortable temperature. One small suggestion some ice cube trays or a water filter pitcher would be helpful. Overall, a great value and if you are willing to walk to a mile or so to downtown you can leave your vehicle at the place . I appreciated the dedicated drive away to park as well.

Historic home with great attention to detail! Location is near everything including great access to freeway for day trips through the hill country!

I loved the open concept, very clean and the hosts were very responsive. The only complaint I had is you hear everything, they however upgraded an older building there is not much they can do to change that. They provided ear plugs just in case, I feel asleep to a Spotify rainstorm. The backyard space is great if you’re bringing children plenty of room for them to run around a play, they also provide a few charcoal grills.

Great location and price. If you are attending an event at the Alamo dome or Riverwalk there isn’t a better place for the price. Great communication.

Our host was very responsive to any issue that arose. This was in perfect proximity for all things downtown. We used Uber to and from the Riverwalk for less than $10 each way. About a 10 minute drive from the Alamo and Mi Tierra's. It's in a very up and coming neighborhood. There's new builds right next to ones that need to torn down or completely restored. We did not feel unsafe, however I felt very exposed in the house and this was the reason for my rating. The house is exactly as pictured with a large outdoor area. An old house means "old house problems" and for me that was that the walls had settled so the very nice blinds, in places, hung out from the wall up to 6". I solved this problem in the bedroom by hanging a blanket in the window. Laying in bed and being able to see the sidewalk outside through the gap was unnerving for me personally. Also while our upstairs houseguests were not loud, as with any old house we could hear them walking and the floor shifted when walked. If you are planning to cook, I suggest bringing things like a mixing bowl and measuring cups as they were not provided. Basic dishes, utensils, pots and pans were stocked along with some basic cooking seasonings. Overall this was exactly what we needed in the location we needed.

Hot water in shower was only luke warm with all the way open. Noise from upstairs guest and outside area was loud at times. Otherwise it was very clean and cozy. Location to river walk was great. Loved our stay.

We attended a multi-day event at the Alamodome and wanted to walk rather than deal with parking. This location was perfect for that (wouldn’t walk late at night alone but that is true of any city downtown). The place was exactly as pictured and tge host answered my questions both before and after arrival very quickly. Good kitchen, comfy furniture, I’ll stay again next year if I can!

We were in town for an event at the Alamodome, this location is walkable to the dome, not much further to the Riverwalk. We loved the oldness of the building mixed with modern art and decor.

Unique Place
This place is a unique place in an upcoming neighborhood with unique charm. The neighborhood was safe, while some houses look older it doesn't mean an unsafe neighborhood. My only real issue with the property was pests, we saw small pests in the bathroom (which stays extremely humid), and some pests around the door. There are two very large holes at the top of 2/3 doors. It was clear that this place has been renovated from possibly an office and some steps might have been missed. There's a window that leads to piping and wiring, the extra doors, and extra windows in the bedroom (one of which had no glass above the bedroom door). If you're not spending a lot of time in the place, these shouldn't be huge issues. The location was prime and very close to most of the attractions available.

We loved our stay. The local art was refreshing and the neighbors were very friendly. Off-street parking was appreciated.
There were a lot of nice little touches. The coffee maker is a Keurig if you want to bring some of your favorite K-cups although a few are provided. There is an apartment-sized fridge that I didn't see in the photos but no ice maker or ice trays. (Maybe a sanitary thing?) There's dishes, glasses, silverware and basic cookware and utensils available.
The River Walk isn't far and you could easily walk or bike to there. The neighborhood looks a little rough on Google Streets. It's old but on the upswing. We loved the direction it's going. We had a chance to chat with the owner and were impressed with his energy and commitment to the community.

Pleasant and convenient
It was a convenient distance from here to the convention center; we were able to walk there in 20-ish minutes. The bed and sofa bed were comfortable. We had to ask for extra blankets because the weather was so cold during our stay; the host brought those by in just a few hours. Everything was clean, check-in was very easy, and in general we were pleased with the house. Thanks!

You can tell the owners put in a lot of work to make the inside nice. It’s an extremely old house with a very modern inside. We stayed on a night that had a wind advisory and you could hear every bit of the trees hitting the walls. The neighborhood is very old and appears not taken care of. I was concerned about the crime rate in the area. Overall, beautiful interior and very responsive owners who will go out of their way to help you in your stay. Only 3 stars due to the neighborhood which the owners would have no control over

We rented this, stayed one night, and left early. Yes, the inside is clean and looks like the pictures. The outside yard area is not finished and it is a mess. The neighborhood is sketchy to say the least. We did not feel safe.

Came into town for one night with my partner and best friend for a concert down the street from where we stayed. The location was incredibly convenient to the downtown area, the concert (located at Vibes Event Center), and airport. I would come back back and stay here again!

The property owners are super nice, and it is obvious that they care about your stay. The home was perfect for myself and my son. It was spacious and very clean. Everything that we did was in close proximity to us. Downtown and the Riverwalk was within a 5 minute drive. Six Flags and Sea World were only a half hour away! The kitchen made it easy to make snacks and breakfast! We will definitely stay here on our next trip to San Antonio!
