Beautiful home. Perfect size for large groups. Rooms are large, beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has all of the necessities. Town of Manitou is very nice and relaxing. Many stairs to maneuver both inside and out. Front and back of house have nice areas to sit. Hottub is a plus to enjoy. The separate cottage was quaint and perfect to provide grandparents room/living room and kitchen for more privacy. Parking was easy with provided parking passes. Overall 5 stars just realize stairs inside and outside could provide challenges.

This place had everything we needed to enjoy our stay for our son’s December graduation from the Air Force Academy! It was nice to be able to walk along the Main Street in Manitou Springs right outside your door, for coffee or snacks or dinner. The kitchen was very well-stocked and there was enough space for the extended family to enjoy some quiet time! The only down side (but not really a deterrent) was the multiple levels of floors, which wasn’t too much of a problem for the younger kids but being from Florida at sea level and having to do stairs to get to bedrooms was a challenge for some of the older members of the family. Overall, it was a great stay and the owner and property managers were extremely nice and helpful. We would definitely stay again. It was a magical visit for us, with the added bonus of snow! ❄️

We had a great time on New Years Eve. A group of nerdy friends playing games, enjoying the hot tub, and exploring this interesting home. Comfortable beds and 9 bathrooms from which to choose. Updated kitchen was functional and clean.

The Avenue is a charming house in an ideal location. The rooms were furnished with lovely period furniture that was functional and comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable. The house was also exceptionally clean, especially for such an old home. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, including provided coffee! We'd love to stay here again next year!

This property is amazing. Great location to local businesses. Beds, bedding & pillows were the most comfortable of any places we have rented.
Lots more stairs than we anticipated from internet pictures & write ups. We loved having our reunion here! We had family from state of WA, AK, CO,TX & MT. What a great time for us to all gather.

This property is better than described. Tina and her team were excellent at communication and the property had everything you would need for a week stay. There was a bathroom for each bedroom. The beds, pillows, linens and towels were of the highest quality. The front porch and back patio were our favorite locations to people watch and simply enjoy the scenery. This is an excellent location to enjoy Manitou Springs, most everything is within walking distance. Plus a number of other attractions were within close proximity making this the perfect location for a vacation.

We loved our stay at the Avenue in Manitou Springs. The location could not have been more central. The home is beautifully furnished and there was every supply, appliance and utensil we could possibly need. Thanks for such a great stay.

Beautiful house, very clean and well kept for the age of the house. Kitchen recently updated. It was the little things that they thought of providing that made us think they did an amazing job. Single serve condiments available in the fridge, bottles of shampoo and conditioner in all the showers (and not the cheap stuff). Sleds outside if you visit during the winter. Just little things like that. Walking distance from almost anything you need, restaurant, shopping ect. This place was very relaxing and even being that close to the Main street it was very quiet. Sitting on the front porch and watching the traffic go by was nice. Loved it!!!

Fun family trip!
Beautiful home and such a great location. My family enjoyed being steps away from all the shops in Manitou Springs and enjoyed gathering on the porch and in the hot tub to catch up with each other. Wonderful hosts and fantastic vacation.

We love to cook while we work, so our concern was that we wouldn't have enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably and resources in the kitchen to prepare food for 16 people. This home has it all! The house just keeps going on and on (or, shall I write, up and up!). The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. That it opens up to two rooms that are equally relaxing and conducive to work was icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

A great base camp for our family after my son’s wedding. Plenty of space for each couple. There were nooks for quiet time as well as gathering spaces to play board games. We could walk into town for lunch. House was well equipped and even went above and beyond my expectations. Terrific place. Clean, lots of kitchen items to use. An extra fridge and freezer. We did not have little ones, but there was a nice kids playroom if you have kids. The hot tub was great and the front porch fun to hang out on.
My one caveat, which was not an issue for our group, but just to mention so others know: two of the rooms have baths down the hall, not inside the bedrooms. They are still private for a specific bedroom, but you have to walk in the hall to get there. And one room has a curtain to separate the bathroom from the bedroom rather than a door, so it worked well for a single.
All of the bedrooms were spacious and had seating areas and TVs and mirrors and felt luxurious except one. It was small, only had a queen bed, no tv, no mirror or seating area and the bath was down the hall. It would have been a great place for a single or teen or child. But for a couple it was a bit small.
Again the house was amazing for our needs. I just wanted to let others know that not all the bedrooms are equal in size or amenities.

Great house, with lots of interesting rooms, bathrooms, hidden doors, and slippery floors. Excellent kitchen, hot tub, laundry.

Beautiful home in excellent location
Perfect amount of communication with owner, easy check in process. Beautiful historic mansion with original details/nostalgia with convenience of many bathrooms. So much room we couldn’t even utilize all of it! Loved the covered front porch- we played cards there every night overlooking the main downtown street. Many sites/ things to do in walking distance, many more adventures just a 15 minute drive away. Every person in our party wants to return with their families!

When we arrived at The Avenue, we were transported back in time to a mansion built in 1866 but with modern comfort, steps away from quaint Manitou Avenue shops and restaurants, near the Manitou Incline, Garden of the Gods, and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. The majestic Pike’s Peak was visible from multiple locations during our stay. Our family gathered for Easter in this beautiful home, our first gathering since COVID, and our time together was wonderful. The home is so huge that we asked each other, “What floor are you on?”. We joked that we should play “Marco Polo” or “hide and seek”.Favorite things:* Many spaces to gather, laugh, and make memories* Fireplaces* Media room* Double oven, gas range, 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, toaster, coffee pot, coffee grinder, 2 Keurigs, cookbooks, and absolutely everything I needed to prepare and serve wonderful meals* Each bedroom has a private bathroom+ Amazingly comfortable beds* Towels as soft as clouds* Nursery* Hot tub* Things were complimentary that usually aren’t, including: Amazon Alexa in the kitchen, coffee, creamer, condiments, spices, napkins, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, lotion, laundry supplies, and trash bags* Multiple parking spaces behind the homeOur dogs were welcomed with a dog bed, bowls, and even a jar of dog biscuits. The hosts checked on us multiple times before, during, and after our stay. After experiencing Hosting From the Heart, we would definitely return to The Avenue, or visit any of their other properties, without hesitation!
