Explore Southern Vermont, hit the slopes at Okemo, take in the view from our hot tub, and visit the restaurants and shops in town. Okemo ski area is less than 5 min away and you are within 30 minutes of Killington/Pico, Stratton, Bromley, and Magic. Earn your views and earn your turns as you can ski (or snowmobile) out to a private ski run or access Vermont's famous VAST trail system. 4WD Vehicles are a MUST in the winter - mountain conditions should be expected. Hiking Trails on property with views of Okemo - just walk out the backdoor. Makes for great snowshoeing in the winter Snowmobile access on property - link to the VAST trails Adventurous Skiers can ski out from the house to a backcountry powerline clearing Hot Tub, Popcorn Machine, and cozy fireplaces. Good place, lots of beds, but missing the “details”.

Dave the host, was very accommodating and accessible. House was supplied with above average variety of items as compared to other rentals. Very short drive to Okemo. Great for family and friends and accommodates large groups.

Rented this for a long fall weekend. It was great base for doing things in the area like hiking and golfing. Kitchen is fully stocked and we cooked dinner two of the nights we were there. Everything was clean and well cared for. There were bedrooms on three floors so everyone had a place to sleep. The driveway up the hill is steep which wasn't a problem for us but in the winter it would be difficult without four wheel drive. The views were definitely worth it.

A wonderful place for a large group to spend time, surrounded by fantastic views. The extended property includes a lovely wilderness trail up the mountainside in the forest. The house is very comfortable and well-maintained.

We loved how open it felt and connected between the kitchen and living room on the second floor. Kitchen is stocked with utensils and plates for everyone. Enough bedrooms for everyone to have privacy and the downstairs living room with the pop corn machine was another hit.
We will repeat for sure

The property was exceptional and had plenty of room for 15 adults. The Traeger Barbecue and Fire pit added to our experience.

Had a great time getting away to this amazing spot with a great view of the mountains ! Everything was extremely clean and organized . The little welcome in gift was definitely loved by everyone when we made pancakes!!!!

We had a large group of friends travel from all around for a weekend of hanging out by the fire and having some great laughs. Perfect location for it!

Our family had a wonderful time staying here for a family ski trip! Dave was super responsive and helpful with anything that popped up during our stay. The house is perfectly located to Jackson Gore - just a 10 minute drive. We were also close to a bunch of restaurants. The kids had a great time in the bunk room!

We had 8 adults and 6 kids. Main floor had plenty of space for everyone to hang out. Views were amazing.

This home is large with ample pace for a large party. It was a short ride to Okeemo. Definitely read the description--you need 4x4 drive. We all had 4 wheel drive and it was still dicey. The only problem we had was the downstairs entry door would not lock and one of the upstairs doors to the deck was very challenging to lock. Property manager said they were aware and planned to fix it. We brought many supplies; however, there were plenty of supplies provided. The house is located by some nice hiking trails. If we come back to Okeemo, we would stay here again.

The house and property were absolutely beautiful. The accommodations fit our group perfect with sleeping, cooking and enjoying time together. The property is picturesque and very convenient to Okemo and shopping. Thank you!

Dave was always so quick to respond to any of my questions and did so kindly. Ft He house is big and perfect for a multi family getaway. Minutes away from okemo mt. Ski area. Loved it !

This is a fantastic house, tucked up in the mountains of Vermont. It's the perfect rural escape if you're looking to unwind, with the convenience of being near a ski resort with all the shops, bars, restaurants, etc that Ludlow has to offer. The house itself is impressive and comfortable, with plenty to do on-property (hiking, fire pit, great deck with a view, hot tub, yard for games, etc). We actually barely left during our stay. The driveway is a bit of a challenge, but we didn't experience any problems in the summer. The house owner/manager is really helpful, available, and kind. He was able to answer any and all questions about the house - both before our stay and during - and also provided some good local recommendations. Check-in was easy, and everything was very clean. Would 100% stay here again.

The pictures of the house were spectacular enough but seeing the house in person was even better! Days before our arrival I received very informative emails about the house (e.g. check-in/check-out instructions, things to know about the house, activities in the area, etc.) which was incredibly helpful. We had a large group and the house was big so we weren't on top of each other. Even if we didn't leave the house there was so much to do. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, outside grill, and cool hammock chairs to relax & take in the mountain views. Being a person with a lot of allergies, it was super clean and well kept - which made my stay very comfortable. Also, the host was prompt in his responses and friendly.
We may have visited in the summer, but we definitely plan to reserve again during ski season!

Came for a birthday getaway and it was an amazing time! The view was amazing from the house. The house was clean and felt very welcoming! I would 100% recommend!!

Beautiful view, amazing house
We had a wonderful stay at Mountain View Manor - the house was amazing, thank you so much for the hospitality! Everyone enjoyed the space. We had several families together and there was plenty of room to hang out post-skiing. The ground floor was a perfect space for the kids. They loved the outside areas, as well and took advantage of the last of the melting snow for sledding and fun on the hill.

The property is very nice and overall the house is fine, but it did not live up to our expectations. The pictures make the house appear larger and more grand than it is. We were there for new years eve and the hot tub was not working. The manager had it fixed the next evening, but it was very disappointing not to have it for new years. The large tub in the master bath was also not working, nor was the fireplace downstairs. The fireplace upstairs stopped working our last night. We never reported the master bath not working and just used a bathtub in another room for our kids. The fire pit and smoker were great. Overall, I would recommend the house but for half the price we paid for it.

Beautiful place, Scenic views and Amazing Host !!!
We stayed there for couple of nights for a fall trip. Luckily the time we were was a peak in Vermont and we could enjoy the stunning views from the home itself. We enjoyed our entire stay (5 families with kids). Kids had fun in the Jacuzzi. Fireplace and grill is nice choice for a night hang out. Entire home is spacious with three different levels with all the amenities. Weather was good during our stay and the attractions (Buttermilk falls & Lake rescue) are 10 to 15 mins drive. The drive (up hill) to the home is very beautiful and adventurous. Near by town (10 mins drive) have good breakfast and shopping options. Also there is a hiking trial in the property itself. The host David is very responsible and answering my phone calls and texts promptly. I highly recommend this place and love to stay again :)
Pros : Lot of moving space, Entertainment system, parking, scenic views, Barbeque grill and Jacuzzi & the list goes on....
Cons: really nothing to say, it will be more comfortable if the beds are little firm & big

Amazing Place, Amazing Host!
Dave was super helpful, friendly, considerate, and generous with his stay! We walked into a beautiful home, on a beautiful large property. The views were endless, the August air paired with the hot tub made for a wonderful weekend stay. The Vermont Escapes team even had some goodies available, a bag, mugs, pancake mix, etc. Very cool! It was a pleasure staying here, so spacious, clean, and well-stocked with anything you may need! Thank you!
Tip: Careful on the steep hill on the way up (and down)!

We had a great time at the house! It’s close to Okemo so easy to go back and forth. Views and hot tub made it a great trip for those not skiing. It also had a great set up for kids space downstairs and popcorn machine made for a fun movie night. Would definitely stay here again!

First and foremost, the house itself is spacious and comfortable for our group of 13 people. The house maintained a nice warm temperature and the gas fireplaces were a huge plus.BUT....Our 4x4 vehicles could NOT make it up the iced out driveway, so we had to lug our bags up the steep icy driveway in the dark. There were several leaks coming out of the kitchen ceiling through light sockets.Furthermore, one of the queen bedrooms on the top floor had a minor ladybug infestation?And to top it off, we ALL (12 people) got infected with rashes and swollen lymph nodes after using the hot tub.Maybe it was just our luck that weekend, but I don't think I'd book again.
