Welcome to lake life @Shady🌳Lake Hideaway. Great location setting atop JAMESTOWN Marina, Lake Cumberland, KY. This cottage is a 2 MILE drive by road to JAMESTOWN Marina. It is 2 MILES from LILY CREEK Boat Ramp. A perfect location for this unique lakeside hideaway that was built for enjoying time with friends and family...and it is PET FRIENDLY. Shady🌳Lake Hideaway offers quick and easy access to LAKE CUMBERLAND and local and hiking spots. The 60 FOOT DRIVEWAY on the property allows for BOAT PARKING in addition to the main driveway. All 3 QUEEN BEDROOMS have their own bathroom. Yep! 3 FULL BATHROOMS. An additional sofa bed is located on the lower level. This hexagon-shaped cottage is truly unique. Lovingly called "the nut house" (as in hexagonal nuts and bolts) by the road's veteran residents, the cottage has an open concept UPPER-level that includes a MASTER suite (sleeps 2) QUEEN with attached FULL bathroom & shower. The upper-level GUEST bedroom (sleeps 2) QUEEN also has its own attached FULL bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN allows for home cooking with all major appliances, cookware, dishes and utensils. The bar height table seats 6-8 people with the expandable leaf found under the table. A live edge breakfast bar seats an additional 2. The upper-level conversation area has board games and a Smart TV with access to the GRILL DECK and outdoor seating/eating area. The LOWER-level doors open to a welcoming FIRE PIT with Adirondack chair seating where one can roast s'mores, share stories and play a game of corn toss. The lower-level POOL TABLE, Smart TV, and JBL PartyBox allow for an evening of kick-back and relax after a hard day of play. You will find the GUEST bedroom (sleeps 2) QUEEN, FULL bathroom with shower, sleeper sofa (sleeps 2), and laundry room on the lower-level. Nestled amongst the tall trees of Kentucky's scenic outdoors, you'll agree after your stay that life is better at the lake! -Suzanne 513-282-9103 Due to the steep and rocky shoreline, there is no direct lake access from the cottage. The street has views of Jamestown Marina below. *I take my cleaning practices seriously and follow the guidelines of POSI (Prevention of the Spread of Infection) which includes Covid. We had a family get together in December at Shady Lake Hideway. The hideaway was clean and just as shown in the description. We enjoyed hanging out downstairs with the pool table, the TV and the table for board games. We cooked our own meals and also enjoyed PePe's Mexican Grill in Jamestown. Suzanne responded to my texts and provided a wonderful environment for a winter weekend.

The house was perfect for my family and my former college roommate's family. We have been meeting up once a year for the last 15 years. The house was separated nicely so the teens were able to hang out downstairs while the adults could enjoy conversations upstairs. We enjoyed yard games like Cornhole and had a fire in the fire pit. The kitchen had all the essentials and everything was well organized and taken care of. The owner was good about communicating with us and checking/out were so easy. I would stay here again.

Shady hideaway is a wonderful property! Very clean and comfortable for 6 adults and 2 children under the age of two. Suzanne is easy to work with and responds to questions in a timely manner. Our family will definitely return and will recommend this property.

Loved how close and accessible it was to Jamestown Marina. Outdoor area and pool table a definite highlight. Also appreciated how each bedroom has its own bathroom.

The cottage is located close to the lake. We enjoyed the security as well as the surroundings. The amenities were excellent. The inside of the cottage was very well appointed. The hostess was very receptive to any questions we had. All in all was s great experience. We recommend this cottage to anyone liking for s wonderful getaway.

I stayed at Shady Lodge with two of my friends. We enjoyed having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was decorated in a fun and cozy style. It was very well equipped, and all appliances worked well. The beds were very comfortable and each room had its own AC/Heating so we could set the room to our own comfort level. We enjoyed the large TV downstairs as well as the pool table. The spiral stairs were a little bit of a challenge, but by the time we left we were really getting the hang of them. We also appreciated the complimentary firewood and spent many enjoyable hours around the fire pit. We spent a lot of time on the back deck playing cards and games. We were able to play well into the evening because the deck lights lit it up very well. While I didn't need to contact Suzanne, she sent me a welcoming text which made me feel like I could contact her about anything, and she would promptly respond. My friends and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

My kids and I love this cozy home close to the lake ! We had everything we could ask for to enjoy our Labor Day weekend ! My son loved the lower level which he claimed as his “man cave”. The outdoor setting was so relaxing for an evening fire with s’mores and a glass of wine ! Host was awesome and so responsive to any questions . We will definitely come back!

The property owner is very responsive and clear about the entire process. She was great to work with! The house is the perfect size for a couple, two couples or three couples with a couple of children. We had two couples. The house was immaculate, the kitchen was incredibly well stocked, it's close to the lake, 15 minutes from restaurants or grocery stores and very comfortable to stay in. We were disappointed in Coe's Steakhouse in Russell Springs-small, outdated and we saw bugs. The locals seem to like it. The blender went out during our stay and a new one was delivered within a couple of hours while we were at the lake. We were not fans of the crow's nest staircase, but you can't have everything. We would DEFINITELY stay at the Hexagon House again! Can't recommend it highly enough. Beautiful neighborhood, incredibly quiet and peaceful with very friendly neighbors. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Some rentals just stand out above the others and this is one of them.

We booked Suzanne's home over Labor Day weekend as a chance to take our young kids on their first vacation and it couldn't have been more perfect. Between our two families, we had 4 adults and 3 toddlers, and there was more than enough space for all of us to be comfortable. The home is equipped with everything you could ever need and there isn't a detail that Suzanne hasn't thought of. After a long day of boating, the backyard was the perfect spot for the grown-ups to relax around a fire, while the kids wore themselves out running up and down the hill and swinging on the hammock. The location is extremely convenient to Safe Harbor marina - less than 7 minutes. Many great memories were made at Shady Lake Hideaway and we hope to be back soon!

Suzanne was amazing to work with. First, check in process was super easy. Second, the property was amazing. Third, communication with Suzanne was over the top. We had some issues out of our control and she was so great to work with and assisted with making the situation manageable. Lastly, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. Our 2nd time staying at Shady Lake Hideaway. Very happy with all the amenities, including big screen TV (with sound bar), pool table, Cornhole boards! and well furnished kitchen. My wife and I stayed in a different bedroom this time- very comfortable bed and pillows.
Very clean. Suzanne is very easy to work with.

I love this house! I love that the firepit area is so nice and tucked behind the house, you feel secluded from the street. Downstairs is a great spot to hangout and play some pool while listing to music. The kitchen has lot of space for cooking, beds are very comfortable. We had the best time celebrating my sisters 30th birthday. Memories were made!! : )

We had a great time at this vrbo. It was fully stocked with all our needs. The kids enjoyed playing pool and games and the adults enjoyed some much needed relaxation time on the back deck. I would highly recommend this vrbo.

Suzanne was very helpful and communication was great. Check I was a breeze. We enjoyed the complimentary firewood and fire pit. We had a family corn hole and games of pool night. The only downside was the pullout sofa bed was very old and uncomfortable.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The property is well stocked with everything you need for a fun weekend, and is extremely spacious and clean! The staircase connecting the two levels is a bit narrow, but it’s easy to go around outside to access each level! If you bring your pups, know that there is an off leash neighborhood dog that will bark, but will not approach. All in all, we would happily stay again and really loved how comfortable all the spaces were!

This property came fully stocked! With other VRBO's we always had to bring coffee filters and sugar. The kitchen has everything you need. Suzanne had filters and a couple of different kinds of sweeteners including regular sugar. As coffee drinkers we really appreciated that. We love sitting around a fire and there's a great fire pit with plenty of seating. Suzanne provides firewood, so when we got there I noticed there wasn't any split wood but mostly very large round piceces and we didn't bring an axe. I texted Suzanne about it. She texted me a pic of what should be there which showed a pile of split wood. I texted her a pic of what little wood was there. I think someone took all the split wood. So within about 90 minutes this really nice guy, Mark shows up with a pile of split wood. Now that's great customer service!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. I taught my nephew out to play pool. And he loved the big TV screen downstairs. And lastly we are so thankful Suzanne allows big dogs. Our sweet Doberman, 90 pounds, is part of the family and it's very difficult to find pet friendly homes that take dogs over 40 pounds. Do owners think smaller dogs are more well behaved? Our big girl is very well trained. Anyway, thank you Suzanne for making our stay so pleasant!!

This was a perfect spot for the North family to drive and the south family to fly into, Russell airport. The quiet setting being preseason was perfect for us. The time zone splitting the area made for confusion with reservations for boat rentals but nothing related to the property. Very nice kitchen offerings and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.

A couple years ago my cousins from Elizabethtown and my husband and I made a vow to visit more. We always ended up in Gatlinburg, which is fine, but we just wanted a slow down and to escape the crowds. So, this year we decided to stay local and meet in the middle. We live only an hour away from the property. My cousins, an hour and a half.
The arrival was easy. The place was beautiful and clean. You have everything you need. We never left the entire weekend. My cousin and I picked up food on the way. We grilled, ate, hung out by the fireplace. On Saturday, a couple other cousins drove over and sat around with us for a few hours. Just lovely!! Our only regret is that we didn't have time to stay longer.

This was a great trip for all our family to decompress. Highly recommended. Bed were comfy, pool table was fun and the kitchen well stocked. We played some tunes and guitar next to the fire pit and watched the stars.

From check-in to check-out, our entire stay was great. Suzanne was extremely pleasant and helpful, quick to respond and made our experience enjoyable and easy! The lake house was beautiful and cozy for our winter holiday. I would love to stay during the spring and summer when lake life is in full swing! Thank you for offering a dog friendly option for those of us that like to bring our furry children with us. The "no dogs in the bedrooms" rule is smart! The only thing I don't like is dog hair in my bed while sleeping. The place was very clean and no pet hair or smell noticed at all! The rec room area downstairs with pool table and JBL party speaker was a hit with our whole family. The spiral staircase is narrow, as others have mentioned, but such a unique feature of the home and we really liked it. Thanks for a wonderful vacation spot, we look forward to our next stay!

My husband my 3 children (15,18, 22) and niece(3) and nephew (6) all love this cottage. Beautiful Sceneries and place right on lake!!! Very clean and had just about anything needed to cook with, drink out of, just needed your food and drinks. We drove from Louisiana gulf coast, south of Baton Rouge and arrived about 530 that evening. We'd been on the road since 4am that morning, but even though the kids were exhausted they were up till 4am the next morning having a ball. There was something for each age group there and a safety gate to the stairs so I had no worries with the baby. Pool table and Bluetoothspeakers, fire pit with plenty of wood already chopped and plenty chairs, 2 big smart TVs with Wi-Fi internet and all apps and blu-ray DVD players surround sound system, board games for all ages and for the whole family, coloring books and crayons etc.... This is definitely our new home away from home. We hated that we had to leave a day early because of the winter storm of 2022 but we had to make to the top of Ohio state. We will be back.

This is an excellent rental: house is ultra-clean, well stocked with good cookware, dishes, appliances, and furniture. . Stairs are very narrow but manageable. (Good thing those of us who are older can go out and around to the lower level.) Firepit area is nice - had a great fire one night. It is a good place to stay.

We recently spent the weekend at Suzane's cabin and loved every minute of our stay! We really enjoyed the pool table, fire pit, board games, and being able to eat dinner on the upper deck. Also very appreciative that there was a bathroom for each bedroom.

This house is just perfect. Everything was perfectly stocked. The kitchen has anything & everything that you might need. Everything was clean & (like I said) just perfect. The beds are comfy. The house is so cutely decorated. We just loved everything about this house. Jamestown is such a cute little town also. We had a great time! Would love to come back!

The house was decorated nicely. Some maintenance issues that couldn't be corrected over the weekend (maintenance man on vacation and no backup) with the air conditioning Nice outdoor fireplace and deck. We enjoyed ourselves! The owners are very nice and engaged.
