We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Charming Cottage by the sea! The house had everything we needed and more and was so close to the beach. We had fun swimming in the pool that was private from the neighbors. We would definitely come back!

We had a great family vacation at Charming Cottage By the Sea. Michael made the check in process seamless and all communication prior to/during the trip was handled easily and promptly. The walk to the beach was ~1/4 mile and was easy for all in our party. Some highlights of the home were the well stocked spice rack that made meal prep a breeze and the grill that was in excellent condition and well maintained (not always a given with coastal rentals). I have no hesitation regarding renting this property in the future.

The perfect “charming” house for our stay. Literally a 90 second walk to the beach with a straight walk. Lovely residential neighborhood. The property itself is so well maintained with beautiful trees and gardens that make the stay so welcoming. The house itself has EVERYTHING you need. Fresh towels on each bed, super comfortable mattresses and plenty of pillows on each bed. Each bathroom is equipped with any any all supplies you may need. The laundry is modern and enormous with ease of use downstairs. Each porch offers a nice relaxing angle of the yard, ocean and peaceful neighborhood. The pool is perfect with great LED lights for night swimming. The gate does lock if you have concerns for safety. Seemingly brand new Weber Grill w propane made cooking in so easy. The house is .5 miles away from a local ice cream shop (kids can go alone on safe paths), pizza, restaurant and more. Food Lion and Publix less than a 3 minute drive! Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

This house was a short walk to the beach. It was so nice to have all of the bathrooms stocked with toiletries. The kitchen was also very well stocked. The outdoor space was lovely with the choice of relaxing by the pool, reading a book in the rocking chair on the screened porch or enjoying one of the decks. The owners are wonderful hosts and did a very nice job of making our vacation a comfortable stay.

Charming Cottage was an excellent place to stay for our vacation at Emerald Isle! Pros - Quiet neighborhood with many friendly locals (it seemed that many were residents and not just vacation property rentals) - location was secluded but close to shopping and restaurants. - Pool was great to relax in after going to the beach - Lawn was well kept and landscaped - Close walk to the beach - Kitchen was well equipped - We rented bikes and it was fun time to grocery shop and bike to sunsets. There are designated bike paths everywhere. - House had very comfortable beds Cons -needed hooks to hang keys possibly located near door or kitchen - the decorations were lovely but many surfaces on the main floor such as end / coffee table, kitchen table had so many decorations that it was difficult to find a place to put our own items. It was a fantastic week at the beach for our family and Charming Cottage made that possible!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to combine a visit to our daughter and son-in-law stationed at Camp Lejeune with some beach time. We also enjoyed the heated pool and quality time on the decks listening to the ocean. Unlike other places that we have rented, we really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen.

The Charming Cottage by the Sea did not disappoint. The house was lovely, set in a well lanscaped lot and just the right size. It was recently decorated, cheerful, well equipped and comfortable. The pool was a big bonus, set in a private back yard surrounded by picturesque trees. Floats and other pool toys delighted my grandson. Once we got him out of the pool (not an easy task), it was a short walk down to the beach, pulling the little cart of umbrellas and sand toys provided by the owner. The house, the setting and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. Mike, the host, was very responsive, although we sent few texts because we didn't need anything! We will definitely come back!!!

We had a wonderful stay! The kids loved the bunk beds and the pool. The adults enjoyed hanging out on the porch and the very well appointed kitchen. The walk to the beach was so easy. We couldn’t have asked for a better owner - Mike was very communicative and always willing to offer advice. Before we left, everyone was already asking when we could come back! Highly recommend!

What a perfect house for 2 small families! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the house was stocked with everything but food and beach towels. There was even a set of toddler silverware which we appreciated! It was a great location to come ready to relax on vacation. The pool was the highlight and the walk to the beach was 3-5 minutes depending on your pace...not bad at all!! Mike is a great host and you can tell he cares and wanted to make sure things were all in order for our stay. This was our first time in Emerald Isle and it did not disappoint! If you’re planning a vacation or just wanting to hideout for awhile, you won’t be disappointed with this Charming Cottage. My family and I, found this to be the perfect place. The house was perfect, the pool was perfect, everything was perfect. What we kept talking about was, how we felt like we was all alone in the community. This house is tucked away and hidden from everything. Although there are neighbors on each side, the way this property is landscaped, you’d never know. Unfortunately, due to an online booking glitch we were unable to stay at the Charming Cottage by the Sea. The property was double booked and Mike was able to find us a new comparable place to stay within an hour of our arrival. He took care of everything and made sure that our beach weekend went off without any issues. Although I can't speak specifically about this property, I highly recommend renting from Mike as he will take excellent care of you.

We loved this house! Would definitely rent again. Great porches, quiet street, easy access to beach, well-stocked kitchen and very clean.
