A boutique hotel in the German/American town of Amana. Enjoyed the chance to slow down, shop, eat Great German food. No cookie cutter lodging here but a great re-birth of an historic woolen mill with food & Bar on-site ... won't forget the comfortable bed.

Very modern. Loved the large shower and generous room space. Lots of horizontal surfaces to store items. Room was clean when I arrived, but not cleaned properly after my first night (sink not cleaned properly and bed not made tidily). Didn’t use housekeeping after that.
The lock mechanism on my room door was faulty and it took one and a half hours to fix. The maintenance staff was off site and 1/2 hour away. I’ve not encountered that before and I don’t think that’s adequate to serve guests. I finally got access to my room after I had planned to be getting to sleep, with a long drive the next morning, that was a terrible experience.

Wonderful modern facility but set in an historic building, also had 4 electric vehicle charging stations!
No breakfast (available for cost but closed on Mondays) The sound insulation between rooms could have been a little better. We could hear the TV next door.

Hotel Millwright adds so much charm to an already charming area in the Amana Colonies. I have zero negative things and 120% all good things! You need to stay here and enjoy all the amenities, the super friendly and competent staff and of course, the town itself.

Hotel was created from a real woolen mill with large rooms maintaining touches of industrial past while being fully modernized in a style similar to city loft apt...Very comfortable bed. The towns of Amana were German charming!

Very unique property. Beds were super comfy.
The meal in the restaurant was missing BBQ sauce. Not a big deal but we weren't told they were out until we asked for it. Probably would have ordered something else had we known.

our keys quit functioning and needed to be replaced several times during our one night stay - two keys, 2x each - each time, the front desk easily remedied, making it just a minor inconvenience

It was our third time there. Driving up, you would have no idea how nice this hotel is. A mix of the old and new. Awesome rooms. Will come again.

Enjoyed the extensive displays of the old woolen mill. The decoration and the vastly renovated rooms in the historic old mill made this worthy of a destination stay. A very pleasant and welcoming staff, as well.
Breakfast was mediocre, the only shortcoming of our brief staty.

Love the industrial look
Signs on road/property were not well marked on where to check in. With all of the snow there was not a distinct sign pointing or way finding to check in at.

Beautiful location. The hotel is filled with history. Lots of details in the common areas, great photos, and historical artifacts.
Staff was welcoming especially in breakfast room. The heat in our room did not work well. Management helped us out and made sure we where satisfied with our stay.

I would change your profile pic. it looks sterile and uninviting . the hotel is so much warmer and interesting than this pic shows .
