We spent Christmas Eve and a few more days in this bright and cheery condo. About half a block to the beach and a short walk to two breakfast restaurants - now that’s my idea of a vacation!

Property was close to ocean, east walking distance. Condo had everything we needed to cook and enough space to feed and visit with local relatives while staying there. It worked out very well with having a shower in one bathroom and a tub in another. We had a young child who does baths and elderly grandpa who prefers walk in showers.

We spent a fall weekend here. We had a great girl’s weekend. Everything was just as described. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance. The beach is right across the street. The condo is stocked well and the beds are very comfy!! We would definitely come back for another stay.

Cannot beat the location of the Oceanside Villas. IOP is a very walkable community with the Oceanside Villas right in the center with easy access to the beach. The unit was well appointed - nice king size bed for the primary with an updated shower in the ensuite bath.
The primary closet was full of beach chairs, boogie boards and a vacuum - nice but - it didn't leave much room to hang my clothes. We have stayed in these condos before - usually the utility closet just as you come in is where most keep those things - prevents dragging sand into and through the condo and from having to share the closet with beach equipment. Looks like they have the utility closet set up as an additional "owner's closet" with a lock.
Overall the condo was as represented in the photos and we enjoyed our stay. Ate most meals out, Long Island Cafe, The Refuge, High Thyme, Acme Low Country - all repeat favorites for us. We would certainly stay here again. We are former Oceanside Villa owners so we knew what to expect with the optimal location and the set up of the units.
Shout out to Vacasa - their bedding/linen set up was lovely as was the starter setup of toiletries etc.

The location of this property was perfect for our family! Easy beach access, walkable to a few restaurants and shops, and easy to get on and off the island to go into Charleston. Our kids loved the pool too and we had plenty of space in the condo as well. You can see the ocean from the balcony and we enjoyed sitting there in the mornings. Very quiet complex and street below.
Unfortunately for me, the condo just felt very used which detracted from our enjoyment of the property. A deep cleaning and some fresh paint would move this to a 5 star rating from me.

This is an older unit. It is updated, but the kitchen lacks some items. We did see a cockroach in the kitchen also. The internet is awful and the only tv service is streaming so if you are watching in the living room and someone is trying to watch something in the bedroom it freezes up and it is very frustrating. We did try and contact the rental office the first day and they said someone would call us back to fix it and we never heard anything back. There is really no storage in the closets for your clothes because they have them full of things. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but they have a few kinks to work out.

A great location that is easy to reach and in the middle of where you want to be. Walking distance to everything you need so you can park the car and forget about it until it is time to leave. Safe beach with plenty of life guards and fun!

Check in process was a bit confusing. We arrived at 4:00 to check in at the office but it was already closed. Our initial check in email told us the office didn’t close until 5:00.
However we did check the black mailbox and found our Check-In info.
The entrance code to get into the unit was different from the one we received in the email. We eventually figured it out to use the one from the paper.
Outside of that, the unit was awesome, very clean you can smell the bleach when you walk in. We were very comfortable after a long day of exploring. I recommend this unit. Has everything you need.
This our first time trying this type of vacation stay. We will definitely do it again! Perfect location to the beach and nice amenities. Met some neighbors at the pool which made it even nicer. Great job on the upgrades in the unit!

The villa was cozy and clean. 2 couples stayed. the beds were comfy. The kitchen was small, not much counter space. We enjoyed the porch facing the pool in the afternoon until the people below started smoking.... The 6 flights of stairs were a little hard with luggage (but knew that before we got there.)

I appreciated the communication we received from Vacasa. They were timely and available, even though our stay was over a holiday. Everything was very clean and our check-in and checkout was simple.

I enjoyed the space very much, it was very well equipped, very neat and clean and you couldn’t beat the location. And I was able to walk to the beach or Harris Teeter‘s in a few minutes. Also, all the other people staying at the facility were very pleasant.

Cozy, quiet, comfortable and very close to the beach! We Loved our short stay! There was a noise ordinance in place that kept the area very relaxing and peaceful. Walking distance to everything you could need. Try to do all your shopping or exploring early, the gift shops close between 5 and 7 pm.

We are a family of 4, this condo was the perfect spot for us two full bedrooms and bathrooms made it very comfortable. The shared space was spacious and well furnished. We would love to return.

This was our first time visiting IOP and enjoyed it. This condo was clean, comfortable and close to the beach, with a supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. The condo was laid out well with a nice kitchen and 2 bedrooms and baths. I think my only complaint was that I thought the foam mattress topper in the master bedroom was a little too soft.

The condo is in a great location, and it was clean and well-equipped. The oven needed cleaning when we were there (the smoke alarm went off!), and the toaster needs replacing, but once those are attended to, we'd be happy to go back!

This condo is located perfectly across the street from the beach. The check in process is very difficult if you don’t check in during a short window. It felt very disorganized and it really didn’t need to be. Laundry is hard to find- they should include a map.

I messaged VRBO/Vacasa several times starting 6 days prior requesting a late check in (the check in window is only 4-5 pm). I was told several times that the local team would put our info in a lockbox to check in after hours. However after repeated attempts Vacasa told me to call/text the local number. Those calls/texts weren’t returned and we had to park with no parking pass. Upon visiting the Vacasa office the next day, the number I had been give wasn’t even close to the right number. It should also be noted a washer/dryer is listed as an amenity but there isn’t one. Not a huge problem for a few days but would have been an issue for a week with wet beach items. Property was an easy walk to the beach. A smoother check in would have made this a better experience.

This is tough to review..there was no communication. I sent messages, made calls & sent texts to get a late check in that were not returned. There is only a 1 hour check in window (4-5 pm). Luckily I had received the door key code via email but we had to park with no parking pass. Unit also stated there was a washer/dryer in the amenities which there is not. The place itself was cute, fairly newly renovated and laid out well for our family of 4. It was also a very short, easy walk to the beach and a little shopping/dining area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was exactly as presented in the pictures. Very clean. Stocked with linens and even starter essentials. Very nice sidewalk path out to the beach. Grocery store, shops, restaurants and bars are just a 1
to 2 block walk. A couple very minor suggestions: (1) Lights on the ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms need to be brighter (perhaps bulbs were out or we weren't using the switches properly) and (2) would be nice if there was a dedicated grilling area perhaps between buildings rather than the grills being in the parking lot. We would most definitely stay again!!
