Our stay at Hall Place was delightful. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and embraced by the warm atmosphere and hospitality of the owners
The room we stayed in was the Romance Suite it was cozy, spacious, and well-decorated, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and we both had a fantastic night's sleep each night our stay.
One of the highlights of my experience was undoubtedly the breakfast served each morning. The homemade meal was a true culinary delight, and it was evident that a lot of care and attention went into preparing it. The dining area had a charming ambiance, and it was the perfect way to start each day of exploring the local shops.
Additionally, the location of the bed and breakfast was ideal for exploring the surrounding area. It was conveniently located right on the square making it easy to explore the area without having to travel far.
What truly set this bed and breakfast apart, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable, offering valuable recommendations for things to see and do in the area and always greeting me with a friendly smile.
Overall, my experience at Hall Place was nothing short of wonderful. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming retreat in Glasgow and I can't wait to return in the future.
Nothing comes to mind.

Great location and value! There was always hot water. We didn’t really expect this with an older house/ property. The rooms were comfortable and appeared clean. Sharla did offer to bring us a missing remote the 1st night, but I was ok to wait until the next day. We did get it the 2nd night even if we had to program it. Room temperature was perfect. Again I didn’t expect this in an older house. There is hot water for tea and a big coffee machine in the dining area.
The TV in the rooms were tiny. (Maybe I’m spoiled with a 32 inch?) We could never really connect on breakfast. Sharla did offer to make us breakfast early one day, but we had to leave a lot earlier than 830 to make a tour at the cave. They do start breakfast at 830 so be there before 830. We got there at 835 and I got 1 piece of bacon. My sister didn’t get any. In fairness to Sharla we didn’t ask for more of anything. There were also eggs, fruit, & waffles available. This was a very minor issue for us as there are a lot of restaurants/ fast food close to the property.

Didn’t stay. Got there & work was being done at entry. Staff were very pleasant but ants & traps In room. Very dark. Wouldn’t have breakfast for us. Just a sandwich. Decided to leave.

I loved the care that the owner took in restoring this historic home. It was great to hear a bit of the history. The location was quiet, but within walking distance to the town center. It was a lovely place to relax, with chairs on the porch. The breakfast is home cooked right there on the premises and the cooks join you in the dining room for a family style breakfast. It's the south so don't be surprised if the breakfast starts with a prayer. The owner is so gracious and makes sure her guests are well looked after.
I would like a foot stool to get onto the very high bed. The bed is an antique (still very comfortable) and was high enough to hide under!

This is a great B&B near Mammoth Cave National Park. The owner and host were very responsive. Breakfast was awesome!
The mattress on the bed in the Dr Hall Room needs to be replaced. It rolls toward the middle and squeaks every time you move.
Other than that, everything was great!

We love historical building and homes and the Hall Place was exceptional as was the host Sharla and her assistant/housekeeper. Breakfast was great! Glasgow is a wonderful small town with lots to appreciate. We had lunch and dinner in town, all walking distance. We toured Mammoth Cave nearby. This was a halfway stop on our way to St. Louis to visit family and attend an aunts 90th birthday party!
Everything was perfect! It is a shame to see so many places of business with much wonderful history and character go unnoticed and passed by, as more modern chain establishments are built on the bypasses. But it allows one to escape the crowded areas and enjoy the beauty and hospitality still in many of the original cities and towns. And good to see them alive and thriving such as Glasgow, And the Hall Place!

Slept really well. Liked the billard table. Breakfast was yummy and company was delightful.
It's a old building so take that into consideration. Bathroom was tiny and I couldn't open the windows in the room.

Great decor, it was like staying in a museum which was pretty neat, WIFI was fast, and the breakfast was outstanding. I had to leave each morning and missed it but the owner made me a to-go box to take with me each morning!
Beds were comfy but very noisy, also very easy to hear other guests through the walls.

The house is an historic step back in time. The owner knows and shares its history. Absolutely beautiful restored and furnished. One of most memorable stays on our trip. Breakfast was spectacular!!!

Easy check in process. Owner runs the property and is nearby if you need her. I had a couple questions and she answered me by text immediately. Great historic old hotel with lots of vibes. Like stepping back in time. Located 1 block from a brewery and 2 blocks from the Theatre. If you stay on Sat there is a church across the road for Sunday morning after breakfast.
I liked and didn't like the fact that it's an old building. Sometimes they scare me. I slept all night. Didn't hear or see a ghost. lol...Highly recommend if you like old buildings and bacon and eggs!!

Nice quiet relaxing place to stay. We had a fine meal there the night we checked in and breakfast the next morning was hearty and well prepared.

Breakfast was well presented , the pancakes and compote were terrific.
We were also served a nice fruit salad, but no bowls were offered. Fruit salad, scrambled and pancakes on the same plate were not the best.
There were NO devices for hanging clothes or towels in our room (Dr. Hall room). One hand towel was on a ring in the bathroom.
We had no place to hang clothes or bath towels.
We're sure the housekeeper had a "brain fart", but our bed lacked a top sheet. Fortunately, the mattress cover looked to be very clean, so we loosened the fitted sheet and used it as a top sheet.
An attractive settee graced the room- until we sat in it. Almost all of the springs in it were either loose or broken. We sank almost to the floor, but were saved by the broken springs sticking into our bottoms. We took pillows off the bed and put them on the settee so we could make it through the night.
Our hostess was lovely, the food was great, but our room really lacked the basics.

This was our fourth stay, which says a lot since we’ve never stayed in another B&B more than once. The room and facilities are clean and well kept, especially for an 1850s building. Sharla, the hostess, is most pleasant and knowledgeable, making her guests feel like longtime friends or family. Her kitchen skills are incredible, you won’t find a better breakfast! Overall it’s a welcoming experience, away from the interstate Highway hustle and bustle, yet convenient to the local attractions.

Hall Place B&B is a beautifully restored historic home. Sharla is so friendly and she welcomes her guests warmly! She serves a delicious home-made breakfast at 8:30 am. If they choose to, overnight guests share the meal at a large dining room table and start the day meeting new people and having enjoyable conversations with the other guests and Sharla. We just felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay! We only wish we had been able to visit Sharla’s Tea Room for lunch, or had been there on a Friday or Saturday night for dinner! The food on the smoker smelled delicious!! We highly recommend Hall Place B&B- it’s a delightful place to stay, and is convenient place to stay for visiting Mammoth Cave! Thanks, Sharla!
We loved it all!

House is beautiful. The room we were in was very large and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our only gripe is that the AC was set a little too cold and you do not have individual control of it in the bedroom. Also the light was left on in the hall which made the room too bright but it was fine once we got up and turned it off. Breakfast was delicious, the owner sat with us and told us the history of the house. Made a super change from staying in motels. Bear in mind that if you are going to Mammoth caves and have booked a tour, breakfast is at 8:30 so do not book a tour before 9:30 at the earliest. We had a discounted rate.
AC too cold.
