Nothing. Horrible experience and false advertising. This home was filthy and unsanitary. Arrived around 10pm Fri. night to sticky handrails on both sides of the stairs, a broken bunk bed and a dirty bathrooms which I had to clean. Master bathroom door did not close. We tried to make the best of it but it only got worse. The next day we got up early to ski, and when using the showers Saturday evening upon our return the drain water started to leak on my husband’s and son’s head sitting at the kitchen counter (dining room side). As they admitted, this had been going on from some time as evident from the rotten and moldy drywall in the ceiling. When I wiped the floor to clean up the leak the rags came up black as the floor was filthy. They repaired leak while we skied the next day but the hole and mold was still there. We took a closer look and found months of dust and trash under beds, including a used face mask and tissue clumps stuck to the floor. Clumps of hair and dust stuck to rusted out baseboard heaters. Dirty mugs/dishes in the cabinets. They offered to clean at that point (after I had already spent an hour plus cleaning) but there was nowhere for us to go on a Sunday night while they cleaned. We informed them we were leaving and stripped the beds per checkout instructions to find a significant amount of dried blood on one pillow, extensive sweat and drool stains on other pillows, and a dried semen stain one mattress pad. Stay here at your own risk. Evolve, the property mgmt. co, states: Evolve Vacation Rental has required that all of the properties we manage meet four standards: safe, clean, as-advertised, and ready for guests.” This is 100% false.

UPDATE-the response is false and misleading. We did not wait until the night we were checking out to inform them of concerns. We left early because the conditions were horrendous & not fixable. The "unforseeable" "small leak" had been festering for months, to the point that the drywall was rotted open with black mold. The broken bed was the least of it.Stay here at your own risk. For us, it was a house of horrors and a health hazard. Here's some of what we experienced, all of which is fully documented with photos and video: DRIED BLOOD, sweat and drool on the pillows some of which were mottled yellow with human fluids. Semen stains on a mattress pad. Dirty greasy handprints on the wall just above the couch. Sticky handrails. Months worth of dust balls and trash under the beds, including a used face mask and used tissues stuck to the floor. Clumps of dust and hair on rusted out bathroom heating baseboards. Dirty bathroom surfaces. Filthy floors. A bathroom door that does not close. Moldy drywall in the ceiling caused by a long term bathroom drain leak above the kitchen and dining area. Leaking drain water on our heads as we sat at the kitchen/dining counter. Dirty mugs and dishes in the cabinets. A broken bunk bed. No lights working on the deck or side entrance. For all we know the sheets that were on the bed when we arrived were not even cleaned before us. We cut our stay short and the owner is keeping the bulk of our money other than the $195 cleaning fee and "15% off two nights due to the leak" "to resolve the situation." We left this house in cleaner condition than we found it, in compliance with all instructions, while essentially giving them a punch list of things to fix before the next tenant and enough time to fix it. Perhaps they did, but people like this will always revert back to cutting corners. If you want photos/video I have it all and very willing to share.

They say location is everything, and this home fits that bill!! Upon arrival we felt immediately relaxed. At the end of a quiet street, surrounded by the quiet and beauty of the area, you'll feel the serenity of nature envelope you. We made a quick trip to Aldi's supermarket- just a few miles away - and we had all we needed to kick off our escape. Later that night, we enjoyed a beautiful evening around the fire pit. Truly the highlight of our evenings. Crackling fire, good company, laughter, and music - what more could a person ask for, right?! But wait, there's more!! The premium outlets are nearby - we all found something we loved and had to have!! Several Walmart, and Target stores are nearby too, in case you forgot to pack something. But don't spend too much time shopping because trust me, you'll want to enjoy the peacefulness of the home!! Unfortunately, into every life, a little rain must fall - but fear not! The covered entryway will let you continue to grill and sit outside, listening to the rain fall. If you didn't pick up wood (available at the ExxonMobil down the road), you can use the propane fire pit on the top deck! Allowing you to sit outside, but yet, be "home". There was not a single moment that we did not enjoy. It was peaceful, tranquil, and beautiful! Even the scenery, as we drove through the neighborhood was beautiful!!

The location was an easy drive. It is situated in a very quiet,beautifully forested area. Deer wander through & fire pit inviting for all day relaxing. Living space inside has a lodge feel.

Several minor repairs need completed in the kitchen & closet doors. These deficiencies were made known prior to our arrival.
