Wonderful cabin to spend the weekend in!

Great place, Jason and Liz actually met us when we were exploring the Sugar Creek bridge just down the road from the property. Very nice people. Cabin was clean and very spacious with a large deck around the cabin. Hot tub was nice to have to relax those aching muscles after hiking. The creek runs behind the cabin and stairs will take you down to the creek side. Property is between Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park, both parks are very scenic. If you go the #3 trail in Turkey Run is the best. Would definitely rent again from Jason and Liz.

The property was just as it appears in the listing. Very cozy and comfortable. It was a wonderful stay since we were so close to Shades and Turkey Run State Park. We enjoyed the seclusion and all the natural surroundings. We hope to come again! ❤️

You will LOVE this relaxing property! The cabin was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and a perfect place to relax and spend time with family and friends. The outdoor gardens, deck and patio are and added benefit! We will definitely be back!

My spouse and I recently spent 5 nights at Eagles Rise and had a wonderful stay. It was clean, well maintained, and very welcoming. The pictures and description are accurate but don’t quite do justice to the real thing. Everything from the rustic structure, to the quality furnishings, to the handmade landscaping felt sturdy and lasting. Nothing felt flimsy or cheap as so many rentals do. We especially loved the all of the intentionally created nooks to sit in and relish the beauty of the the surrounding nature. Jason and Lis obviously created and maintain this space with love and pride. We hope to bring our friends for future visits.

Quiet comfortable setting inviting rest and relaxation, full kitchen, 2 showers, fire pit, hot tub, and bags for play. We had no internet - also welcome. We were five friends 70 yo. Recommended.

If your looking for a peaceful quiet getaway, this place is for you. Country charm inside with just beautiful areas outside. We enjoyed the deck area the most and had our meals there. Owners were very pleasant to deal with and provided some lovely tips on the surrounding area as well. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.

My husband and I wanted a close, yet feels like we’re transported to another world vacation, and Eagles Rise was absolutely PERFECT. Jason and Lis could not have been more kind, helpful, communicative, or thoughtful. We were running behind to arrive and they even offered to turn on the porch light for us! It’s the little details that mean so much and truly made us feel so welcome. It felt like our stress melted away when we got there. Danny and I enjoyed every minute! The cabin was so clean, comfortable, and cozy. We spent hours on the deck lounging, reading, and talking. All the furniture was very comfortable. We cooked out over the fire pit, and ventured down to the creek! The landscaping is gorgeous, and we loved just watching the butterflies and hummingbirds fly around the flowers. I can’t say enough how lovely it was, or what great hosts Jason and Lis are. We definitely hope to be back! Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Our stay included me, my wife and our adult son. The property was exactly as it was described in the listing. The landscaping was beautiful, and the cabin was lovely. My wife got a lot of use out of the kitchen, which was very well furnished. We really enjoyed the fresh vegetables from the garden. Thank you! I usually can't sleep in a bed due to back pain, but I was very comfortable in my bed there. I would have liked some grab bars in the bathrooms, and some banisters near the hot tub and down into the living room. My wife used the hot tub once and had a lot of difficulty getting out of it. So, I didn't try to use the hot tub due to my limited mobility. I know it's hard to anticipate everyone's needs; I'm just giving you some food for thought. My son really enjoyed the hot tub! We had some extended family members visit us at the cabin, and everyone was impressed with the property.

The house and property were just what we wanted, away from everything and by the water. We enjoyed both state parks and hiking as well as tubing the creek, we all had a wonderful time.

My son found the listing back in December, searching for a place on Sugar Creek, where we spent many summers when they were growing up. Eagles Rise was a perfect fit!! Beautiful accommodations AND next to a beautiful quiet stretch of Sugar Creek! The creek was low and crystal clear so my grandkids played for hours, catching minnows and jumping off rocks😊 Cozy and so homey with plenty of spaces (bunkhouse) for the kids to play and sleep. We used the fire pit 2 nights (s’mores) and the hot tub too!! The landscaping was exquisite! So many beautiful flowers and a garden with veggies! Walking the creek fishing was also popular with my sons:) Having another half bath would be good with a full cabin but we shared. Overall- as my grandson Liam said “10 out of 10” We will be back!!

Our newly expanded family met here as a halfway point for a relaxing vacation. Our daughter and son-in-law were coming from Des Moines, Iowa and the rest of us from Pittsburgh. Your place was so beautiful, peaceful, and we made so many great memories there. We have loved hiking trail three at Turkey Run State Park, Tubing down the creek was so memorable - and of course fishing and seeing so much wildlife. Also, eating dinner on the beautiful deck was an extra treat. Your place exceeded our expectations. Thank you for sharing your charming place with us. If we are ever in Indiana again, we would love to return.

This was such a wonderful place to spend time while we explored the local state parks. Clean, comfy and everything you’d need. I could have moved in happily. If you are looking to get away from it all and spend time in nature this is the place. We will definitely be back.

A slice of heaven in a perfect location. Close enough to attractions, small towns with great food but homey enough to just want to stay in. We loved walking down to the river to play and enjoyed evening fires and the hot tub. These owners thought of everything from a fryer (for our deep fried pickle and onion ring night) to the corn hole boards for the family tournament on the back porch. We will definitely be back.

Eagles Rise was perfect in every way! The location was ideal for adventuring. The cabin had all the amenities one could ask for. Our group throughly enjoyed our time there. Jason and Lis were responsive to our questions both before and during our stay If you are looking for a stay "away from it all", yet close to the state parks, covered bridges, and antiquing, Eagles Rise is it.

We all enjoyed our lovely stay. We had a perfect stay with friends and our kids. It was very inviting and felt quite personal. The awesome decor inside and out was a woderful surprise that made us feel like we were at a home away from home.

We were looking for a place for three couples to stay for the weekend, not too far from Turkey Run State Park. This listing looked great, so I booked it nearly a year out, hoping it would work for the six of us. It was ideal! Jason and Lis were very responsive to questions, the cabin was very clean, and it was stocked with everything we needed. We had plenty of space for six people, and it was cozy. The location right next to Sugar Creek is beautiful, and we all saw eagles flying up and down the creek multiple times. We did go to Turkey Run to hike, because that was our plan, but we could have easily just hung out at the cabin and been perfectly content!

Our family of 6, with kids ranging from 9 to 15, had a wonderful stay at Eagles Rise Cabin. This location is secluded. It has 84 steps down to sugar creek, where we explored the banks and fished. The back of Shades State park is across the road. We hiked for a little ways and did some creek walking. At the cabin, we enjoyed a campfire and relaxed in the hot tub. The cabin is fully stocked, comfortable, and clean. Would love to make this a regular visit!

From the minute you walk in, this cabin feels just like home! The kitchen is VERY well stocked and has every item you could possibly need. There is a gas fireplace in the living room which makes that room SO cozy! There are 2 full bathrooms each attached to a bedroom. One has a large shower and one a tub/shower combination. The only thing to be aware of is that the third bedroom and the main living area of not have direct access to a bathroom - you would need to walk through one of the 2 master suites to get to one. There is a full size washer and dryer on site too. Now let’s talk about the outside! The cabin sits up overlooking Sugar Creek - which is quite a large creek in my estimation. There is a set of steps leading down to the creek bank where you can view the water, and listen to the birds (we heard owls in the evening). The creek is gorgeous! There a a large, very inviting hot tub up on the deck that will fit 4 adults very easily. It was heaven to sit in the hot tub at night and look up at the stars, which were plentiful given the remote location. I can’t wait to come back!

2nd visit to this gorgeous cabin for our annual getaway. Beautifully furnished, comfy beds, great kitchen, lovely property. Deck and hot tub are fantastic. Just a short way to Shades or Turkey Run. The solitude is priceless.

One of the most detailed homes we have ever been in. Just perfect. Perfect scenery, perfect hosts. Perfect trip. God is good!

Property was beautiful. Rooms were clean. Cabin was nearby to Covered Bridge towns. The deck looked inviting. Temperature dropped while we were there and we did not spend time outdoors after walking around outdoors during day, but the deck was huge and would have been a great place to sit and look at the stars. Kitchen had everything you would need to make meals, even though we ate out. We really enjoyed our stay.

This place is fantastic!!! My husband and I took his parents who are in their late 70s and just enjoyed Eagles Rise! We didn’t even leave one day we just stayed cooked out sat by the fire pit sat in the hot tub and enjoy the scenery around the house! The grounds are amazing looking at all the plants and being able to walk to the creek but there are a number of steps to my in-laws couldn’t do it. Short drive to turkey run to walk around on the paths and I really look forward to coming back. It was great to get off the grid!!!! No phone calls… etc!

Stayed in this beautiful property for a sisters' weekend to relax and hike in Shades Park. Jason and Melissa's home was wonderful. Beautifully landscaped and even decorated for Fall--It was just the perfect choice for us. Jason and Melissa answered any questions we had promptly and allowed us to check out late. The hot tub and outdoor seating made visiting and enjoying each other's company that much more fun. Great place to get away for some quiet visiting time.

I have stayed at many VRBO's this particular one was above others in its location if you are looking for outdoor fun. Also the owners were very attentive to our needs, we ran short on linens and they promptly responded. The house is equipped with all the amenities to have a comfortable stay. Thank Jason and Lis for a wonderful week.

Good location for Turkey Run and Shades state parks!

We had a wonderful stay at Eagles Rise. The cabin was just as promised and so well supplied. Our hosts were helpful and willing to answer all our questions. We explored the area and also relaxed at “home.” Just what we all needed. We will be back I’m sure!

Everything was great! The cabin was set up perfectly, the fishing was great, loved the hot tub! Would definitely recommend.
