We booked this property for my sons graduation from Navy bootcamp. Our whole family was able to stay, and my son spent the weekend with us. We had plenty of space for everyone to have their own beds. The hot tub was amazing!! The river was a little cold, but that did not stop the kids. Place was clean and had a bunch of supply’s already like plates and forks, and we contributed to it as well. Hooghly recommend if you want a nice place for a Navy graduation. Close to nearby shopping, very safe neighborhood and very quiet! I give it 11/10! For anyone with mobility issues, main floor was completely wheelchair accessible. There are 5/6 steps to get into the house, but once on main floor I had absolutely no accessibility issues.

The Pineapple Ridge home was perfect for our family gathering of 20 people, spanning 3 generations aged 4 to 82. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, so many comfy beds and the backyard/pier was perfect. The fire pit was nice and had so many chairs, no need to bring your own. Kids enjoyed the jacuzzi and the elders played mahjong in the room right of the deck everyday. The owners were very responsive and so accommodating. Highly recommend this home. I stayed at this property with a total of 14 people. We all loved it! The owner was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. There was plenty of room for everyone… areas for quiet and areas to gather and play cards or just enjoy the beautiful backyard. The view of the river was outstanding, the beds were all comfortable and the kitchen fully stocked! Our family rented a total of three houses in the area and this one was hands down the best! It was well maintained and had plentiful supplies of towels, soaps, throw blankets, life jackets… We will definitely stay here again next time we vacation in this area!

Pineapple Ridge is beyond wonderful!! Beautiful setting; large well-appointed house with lots of bedrooms, beds, bathrooms. A fantastic kitchen with EVERYTHING we needed. A basement with plenty of activities for kids and adults alike. The owners are always readily available to answer questions. It Is PERFECT. We hope to visit again. Thank you Kris and Russ for sharing this piece of heaven with our family.

Everything about this property from start to finish was perfect. The owners were great and made the whole process super easy. The location of the house was also great, close to stores, restaurants, bars, etc., but being on the river was wonderful and made you feel like you were truly away from it all. The weather was really bad the first 2 days we were there, but the house is big and comfortable and I loved the open floor plan with the kitchen and family room, so even though we were stuck inside we could all hang out together with plenty of room. We were able to take advantage of the back yard and fire pit one night and it was, again, perfect! Sitting on the dock in the morning with coffee or in the evening with a cocktail was soooo relaxing. Lots of beds and bathrooms which makes this house ideal for a group, also lots of parking which is unusual for a VRBO. The house had everything we needed and would be fun in every season. Loved the big windows in the family room that face the river and the big back yard. The place would obviously be great in the summer, but it was beautiful with the fall colors and would also be beautiful covered in snow with a fire going in the fireplace. We didn't have little kids with us this time, but the house would be great if you do. Lots of space and also a huge basement with a pool table and hang out area. We rented the house because we were in town to do a memorial service for the mom. It was a tough weekend, but staying in such a comfortable home together with my siblings and our families and having the space for everyone to gather, made for a wonderful send off and the perfect setting to honor my mom. It was a great stay and a perfect weekend. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back! THANK YOU!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The host was extremely gracious and accommodating. Pictures do not do the house justice. We will be back soon hopefully.

Our group of 5 families have been vacationing together every summer for 11 years and we have never stayed in a nicer or cleaner rental. Kris and Todd were so helpful throughout our stay so much so we plan to come back next year. You cannot go wrong with this place. The pics don’t do it justice.

We especially enjoyed being so close to the water, the firepit and grill outside, and the pool / ping pong table in the basement. Kristin was a great communicator throughout the booking process (as well as our stay) and provided recommendations for a boat rental nearby. Would highly recommend any large group looking for a fun getaway to stay here!

From the day we first communicated with Kristen until the day we left the property, everything was beyond our expectations. Kristen and her husband are the perfect hosts. We rented the home so our children and grandchildren from out of state would have a safe and comfortable place to stay over our wedding weekend. Everyone had a great time. We cooked together in the huge kitchen and made many treasured memories together as a new family. And the view...breath-taking. We look forward to having family reunions and anniversaries there in the future.

This is a really nice house with numerous amenities both inside and in the back yard on the river. I brought my boat in for the weekend and had a really nice evening going down to the McHenry river walk for dinner. I would definitely rent this house again. Great for large groups.

The house was perfect because it had lots of room and everything we needed for our group. Everyone had a comfy bed. There were plenty of towels (beach and bath). The kitchen had all the cookware we needed for preparing big meals. The basement was a fun space for those of us who wanted to stay up late and play while the second floor bedrooms were far enough away that the noise didn’t keep grandma and grandpa awake. The house has several little nooks to sit and read. The yard is nice and big. There were plenty of chairs around the firepit and lots of palletwood for us to burn. The lilypad was fun to use right off the dock. We brought kayaks and went out in the evenings and mornings from the dock. The river views were nice. On the weekend, it was fun to watch all the different boats go by while during the weekdays the river was much quieter. Kris was very friendly and super easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this place for your family or friends get together. The house is bigger and nicer than the photos can show. This is a beautiful property on the Fox river. Lovely views from the living room, bedrooms and deck. Cozy enclosed porch. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Our family had such a good time staying in this large and relaxing home. Comfortable space, all the amenities you could want. Property managers are super responsive and a joy to work with. Highly recommend this property!

Our Family of 13 had a great weekend. Beds were plentiful and very comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed with a great refrigerator and stove. Gas grill worked perfectly and the view of the river was a great way to spend a few minutes morning and night. Basement was a great hangout for the kids. We would definitely recommend for your next family get away.
