About this cottage rental
Situated in Iowa, this lovely cottage for $189 per night is a great choice for your next break. Beautiful 1910 cottage built in to a hill. Overlooking the Mississippi River and less than a mile to historic downtown LeClaire IA. (Home of the American Pickers). Nightly rate includes 2 guests. Additional guests are $25 up to 5 guests max. 🐶 Pets are very welcome at the cottage. Please let me know at the time of your booking you'll be bringing a pet. I leave toys, dog beds and goodies for them. Pets are not aloud upstairs. There is a one time Cleaning fee of $60 for up to two dogs. 3rd dog will be a additional $25 We do allow small gatherings max of 15 Guests. This includes booked guests. The event fee is $350 This allows use of the entire property, including fire pit, grill and all 3 large decks and bar area . Please reach out for more details. The cottage 🏡 Large Decks, grill and a large yard with fire-pit garden. Plenty of seating. For those amazing river views Screened sun-porch with bar top and Edison bulbs, overlooking the river for beautiful sunsets. 2 bedrooms with full private baths. Spare bedroom ensuite has a Jacuzzi tub/shower, The master has a large slate walk in shower with jets. Gas fireplace for cozy evenings in the living room. A entire wall of french doors with views of the river. Watch barges and boats sail by. Iron spiral staircase takes you to the den with large screen TV, and two bedrooms. The den also doubles as a sleeping space with a fold out couch. The screened sun-porch is the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Directly behind the property is a park with children's play equipment and a gazebo for picnicking. The fully equip eat in kitchen has everything you need! Everything is high end and lovingly cared for. Disclaimer: Any damages done by a pet or guest are the soul responsibility of the guest. Please treat the cottage as you would your own. ,❤️ Thank you Check out is a strict 11am due to cleaning time unless otherwise agreed upon. $25 early check in when available. $25 late check out. 30 min increments . Cleaning time is very important for the high standards we are very proud of. Ring OUTDOOR security lighting and camera are on the property.

Absolutely loved the place. The pictures are spot on. It's super cozy and charming yet much bigger than you would think. All the rooms are decent sized and well decorated. Also, a great location only a short walk from all the restaurants and shopping. We will definitely add to our list of must go again.

This was the cutest, coziest cottage! It was perfect for the 4 of us. We used the grill and deck one night and the firepit another night. Very relaxing and convenient walking distance to all the cool places on Cody Road. We would definitely stay there again.

Quaint, cute and very clean and well appointed. Excellent view of the Mississippi River from various vantage points both inside and outside. Two en-suite bath rooms and a powder room. One glitch was that the entrance code that was provided was not accurate so we needed to contact the VRBO help line to obtain the correct entrance code. I do not know if that was an owner or VRBO issue, but hopefully that can be remedied in the future.

We always try to get away for a day or two around our birthdays. This was an absolutely adorable home with a great view. Although being on the river I think next time we will do it for my birthday so weather is warmer. The house is exactly as listed. Easy check in, fabulous spiral staircase, jetted tub comfy bed. The local restaurants are great, unfortunately the local grocery store is not. This place was really great we hope to come back soon.

The house was very cute and the family room was very cozy. Nice and clean and was very welcoming to our two small dogs with toys that they played with and a couple of beds they slept on. If you're up for hiking up a 45 degree incline there's a nice open park across the street to walk dogs or let your 9 year old run around. The only thing worth mentioning about the property is to access any of the sleeping areas you have to use the fairly narrow spiral staircase. It's super cool but my wife had a foot boot on due to an injury and it was a bit treacherous going up and down. Not a fault of the property though and it was clearly shown in the pics.
Overall a great stay that we would do again.

Very cute place. Great views of river and lush green garden setting. Close to town and easy access to freeways. Train is close by but not too much of a bother. Screened in porch room was a great bonus space. Home was just as advertised.

This was my second time here and my husband's first. We had a wonderfully cozy weekend. It was a rainy, chilly weekend. We took full advantage of the fireplace and played board games and just relaxed. We absolutely will be back!

Anniversary get away
We stayed at the cottage for a few nights with our three dogs, although the weather was not the greatest we had a wonderful time just hanging out, relaxing, and watching the eagles fly over the river. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely place with us!

This home is everything listed in the VRBO description. The wonderful surprise was the extra touches like the seasonal decor and the personalized welcome sign. It immediately made me feel welcomed as if I was coming home. Very comfortable, with multiple outdoor settings for viewing the river. The owner was very quick to respond to my questions. I will stay here again!

Very nice accommodations and well equipped kitchen. Beautiful view of river and had a wonderful time in LeClaire. Wide River winery was a favorite stop. Host was very welcoming. There are a few steps between rooms on the main floor so it would be a challenge if you had very small children learning to walk or elderly who have mobility challenges with steps.
