Situated in Minnesota, this lovely house for $179 per night is a great option for your next trip. The cabin at Lowell is the perfect place to unplug and unwind. This cabin/house sits on a 30-acre hobby farm that provides views of a 4-acre pond, chickens grazing, hay fields, orchard, and plenty of wildlife. 12 easy miles to Mankato, 6 miles to Lake Crystal, and 15 to Madelia MN, is easily accessible off of HWY 169. The cabin is great for a family vacation, girls/guys weekend. This is a very private location is close to lakes, bike trails, rivers, Minneopa State Park, Mount Kato Ski/Mt Bike, shopping, restaurants, local breweries, and wineries. Outside fire pit(firewood provided), charcoal grill(charcoal not provided), screen porch attached right off of the dining area and attached to the deck. The cabin has 1 bedroom and a loft. There are 2 King beds, 1 Queen bed, 2 full beds and 1 single bed. Central air conditioning forced air furnace. ** Please note that the nightly rate is based on 4 guests, additional guests are an additional fee of $15 per night per person. (children under 2 are free). The price will automatically calculate when you indicate the number of guests staying. Max # of guests is 8 The main floor is handicap accessible. Main floor bathroom has a walk-in shower, upstairs bath has 4 foot seated shower. The kitchen has all the dishes, pots, pans, and utensils you will need, a full-size fridge, dishwasher, gas stove, coffee maker/filters. Washer and Dryer available for your use. Antenna TV in the bedroom and living room(Chromecast on livingroom TV), WIFI, DVD player. Large wrap around deck accessible from the master bedroom and dining area, Small upper deck off of the loft area for a spectacular view of the area. Spacious yard with fire pit, swing set, and yard games. Quiet reading area in the loft. Cards, some board games, books and DVD's for your use(both adult and child friendly). Children welcome; highchair and pack-n-play available. Large parking area. Outside is well lit with plenty of outside lights. Smoke and CO detectors, fire extinguisher, basic first aid. Outside access to basement in case of inclement weather conditions. ** Please note that the nightly rate is based on 4 guests, additional guests are an additional fee of $15 per night per person. (children under 2 are free). The price will automatically calculate when you indicate the number of guests staying. Max # of guests is 8 Local Breweries in Mankato and Madelia. We recommend restaurants of La Plaza Fiesta, Mexican restaurant, The Fox Den, pizzeria both in Madelia. Only 6 miles away in Lake Crystal there is Kevin's local grocery store, DQ, The Rocks Liquor store, The Lakes Bar and Grill. Also in Lake Crystal, public access to 2 lakes, Lake Crystal and Loon Lake. Another great small town bar/restaurant in Good Thunder, The Thunder Bar. The Red Jacket Valley Park is 9 miles away. Swimming, walking trails, and kayaking/canoeing. Located right next to the Red Jacket bike trail. Minneopa State Park is 10 miles away. Attractions there are double waterfall, bison, hiking trails, and wildlife. Minneopa Golf Course is 10 miles away, a bit further is Northlinks Golf Course in North Mankato and the Mankato Golf Club. Mount Kato Ski Area is 10 miles away. Ski, snowboard and tubing in the winter and mountain biking in summer. The Damn Store and Restaurant is 4 miles away, this is a quaint old-time restaurant near the Rapidan Damn and county park. This is also a great location to put your canoe or kayak in the Blue Earth River for a scenic trip downstream toward Mankato. The area around Mankato has several paved bike trails, the closest is accessed in the small town of Rapidan, 6 miles away. The area in the spring-fall have a variety of small-town or large city festivals and events, If you are a youth sports team coming to the area for a tournament - our location is private, quiet and a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of a hotel atmosphere, and yet quickly accessible to the Mankato/North Mankato area.

This was the perfect spot for our girls weekend! We went into town some to enjoy all that Mankato has to offer and left plenty of time to roam the area around the cabin. It is so beautiful and peaceful! We will definitely be going back!

A group of colleagues and I were in Mankato for a conference and wanted a place we could stay to take a physical and mental break from business. This was a perfect retreat. My only disappointment was that we weren’t able to spend as much time at the property unwinding as I had hoped! I think my family would enjoy this hideaway with the chickens and horses and look forward to bringing my family!

This was the perfect place for us to stay with friends and our 6 month old. I loved how the cabin was kid-friendly - they have a pack n' play, kids' books, games, a high chair, and much more so we didn't have to bring all of those things with us! The property is so nice and felt like home with the wide open spaces and farm animals. The cabin was clean and very nicely updated - it was easy to make ourselves at home. Carl and Ann stopped by to say hi when we checked in so it was also nice to meet the property owners and know that they were there if we had any questions. I would highly recommend staying at their cabin!

Fantastic rental on a secluded, serene hobby farm! Owners were awesome, cabin was as advertised and clean. We were greeted by the chickens, outdoor cat, and saw some deer and waterfowl near the pond. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway!

What a awesome way get get family together and off devices. We had so much fun playing corn hole, cards and just visiting. The kids said they miss all there device's but it was so worth it. There was plenty of places to sleep and lots to look at. It was a great time.

The stay was great! The house was spotless and had a very well thought out arsenal of amenities. Anything to make your stay comfortable, along with anything that you may have forgotten, was right there for you. The property as a whole was awesome with beautiful views and privacy galore. Beautiful, clean, spacious cabin. Even better than the photos. Great screened-in porch to sit and enjoy the view. Kids loved canoeing on the lake next to the cabin. Enjoyed the nearby waterfalls, swimming beach, and bison drive as well. Would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect place to stay for our family when traveling to a graduation. The cabin was very very clean and equipped with everything you needed for a stay. My kids loved it and the cat who came around! My mother-in-law loved all the antiques throughout the house. Just a beautiful inside and out. Would absolutely recommend!

This place was so nice to stay at. It was much better than the pictures. It is close enough to some hiking and waterfalls as well as restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed feeding the chickens and playing with Brother the very friendly (but hairy) cat. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

We loved this cabin! It was so roomy and nice. I was so impressed by how clean it was and how well stocked it was! We all had plenty of towels and washcloths. We also had dish soap and hand soap. The kitchen had about anything you could think of. I am grateful to our hosts for the thought and care they have put into this property.

We stayed here with another family, and it was the perfect spot. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with all of the basics needed for cooking family dinners. Enough room for everyone to gather in the kitchen/living room. Tons of space outside, including a screened in porch and a fire pit.

I stayed at this cabin with a group of friends for a ski weekend. It was perfect! It was cute and rustic, had beautiful views of the snow and trees, and was only a 15 minute drive to the ski resort. The owners were also very welcoming and helpful.

Our small group celebrated New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at The Cabin at Lowell near Mankato, Minnesota. It seemed like the perfect spot to relax, explore, and celebrate another trip around the sun. And we were right! We very much enjoyed the eclectic mix of signs, posters, and antiques scattered throughout the home, as well as the overall cabin feel complimented by the rolling hills that surround the valley. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was spacious, the wood stove worked perfectly, and the birdfeeder was busy with visits and chatter from cardinals, bluejays, woodpeckers, and chickadees. Owls were also present after dark. On the second day, we snowshoed at a nearby park and later dug out the campfire pit. We spent about 6-7 hours gathered around the fire and were visited by "Brother," the property's adorable, friendly, and large barn cat. We approached cautiously at first but later sat on each of our laps for over an hour while a distinctive "lunar halo" moon shined above our heads. We'd definitely consider returning with more family for another holiday! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was clean, well furnished and cute. There was firewood waiting for us - we had fires every day. The hosts checked in with us upon check in and check out, made sure the drive and sidewalks were scooped for us. We look forward to returning and would recommend.
