Dragonfly Cabin - Meredith Lodging This sweetly rustic but modern Sunriver woodland retreat promises a magical stay on the Deschutes River outside of Sunriver. The open floor plan and vaulted ceiling of the great room are spacious accompaniments to the Central Oregon light streaming in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Cozy seating around a slate hearth, wood stove, and flat-screen TV give you and your guests an inviting place to gather in the evening; during the day you’ll want to be on the large main-level deck watching the river through dappled woodland or soaking in the hot tub. Nature enthusiasts will be delighted to see deer, birds, and otters playing in the river. The dining room has river views, and the compact but fully equipped kitchen can handle everything from a snack to a feast. You’ll enjoy a king bedroom on the first floor and 2 queen beds and 1 twin on the second, along with a bonus room under the eaves with additional sleeping space. Bring your outdoor gear (paddleboard or kayak), and fishing poles for quick access to the river directly from the backyard, or take a quick drive to Sunriver to rent what you need. Sunriver also has plenty of fun to offer, including shopping and dining in the village, the SHARC aquatics center, golf, and loads of outdoor activities. It’s easy to get to Bend or Mt. Bachelor, too! Mt. Bachelor is just a quick 20-minute drive from the home. Nice home with great floor plan for a family. The interior and exterior of the home could use some TLC but otherwise it was good. Great biking roads in the area and Deschutes river access was good. Make sure to get an area 9 pass though or your car will be towed.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here in November and it is the perfect house and location. Beautiful big windows to enjoy the view of the trees and the river, private hot tub on the deck and just the most perfect place. I’d buy this house if it were for sale!
The host was responsive to any questions and made our stay easy and perfect! Thank you!

Our family of 5 plus pup had a great stay at the Dragonfly cabin. We were disappointed that the creek behind the house was too small for floating and we were really looking forward to relaxing in those hammocks which were pictured but mysteriously missing from the trees when we arrived. However, the house is really well laid out and easy for a family to hang out or have their own space. We didn't realize that we would have access to an HOA only access point on the Deschutes until our last day so that would have been nice to have in the description. Overall we would definitely stay here again. Close to everything but feels very private!

Very nice place. Not a big deal for me , but daughter and granddaughter were disappointed that there was no hair dryer. Add said there was. We survived. 😊

The property and house was beautiful. We were surprised that everything was so well thought out, from house slippers by the door to coffee and filters in the kitchen. It was a peaceful location also with an array of wildlife. We loved it!

Beautiful house in good location relative to places we wanted to visit. The spa was nice. Lots of room in the house for our family of 4 to spread out and gather. Amazing places to visit nearby. We had a great time and would consider staying here again!

We’ve enjoyed both our weekends at Dragonfly Cabin very much. The layout is very conducive to a relaxing time enjoying the view and each other. We did not use the wood stove during either visit, as there was not any small kindling, nor did we find instructions (although instructions were mentioned in other documents). We did bring an ax our second trip, but ended up not splitting any kindling, so no report on the wood stove.
The kitchen is very well equipped. We brought Keurig pods our second trip, now knowing that there’s an excellent Keurig machine. The toaster is the best we have ever used, so good in fact that we went home and purchased one just like it to replace ours! Nonstick pans would be a welcome addition, as cleaning the current pans is a chore, not a pleasure.
Extremely comfy beds, and plenty of towels, with a distinction between house towels and hot tub towels that I appreciated. We had a very short use of the hot tub, which seemed functional and adequate,although outdoor lighting would be nice.
I’m glad I had not expected to use Wi-Fi to work, though, because it is inadequate. Yes, they do have Wi-Fi, but it is so slow that my phone, even with two bars, was acquiring data faster.
Previous visitors had not picked up their dogs’ poop in the yard—which is not a complaint about the cabin or the hosts, but a suggestion that the instructions to visitors might include a request that they pick up after their dogs, as they would in their own front yards.

This quaint and comfortable home met all of our needs. It was quiet and private and we appreciated the views views of wildlife off the deck. This home is centered in between Mount Bachelor and Bend Oregon. We enjoyed museums hiking sightseeing. It just simply felt like home.

Everything was great except the TV didn't work. I had texted but didn't hear back about a log in and password. Had to log in with our own streaming service. Otherwise beautiful property and location, great amenities. Would definitely book again!

This home is beautiful and the pictures do not do the upstairs justice. There were more beds than you can see in the pictures. The room and loft upstairs are huge. And the beds are really comfortable, which can be hit or miss with some rental homes. Would definitely recommend and go back again with a larger group.

The rental was surprisingly larger than what I a thought, perfect for our party of 6. It was clean and well stocked. The location was quiet yet fairly close to Sun River. The access to the water could be better, as it was quite steep and a bit slippery. Would definitely recommend!

property great - not impressed with condition of property
Property great, cleanliness and supplies, not so much. Almost no routine spices/oils (was told that is an owner's decision, ...really, no salt? olive oil? garlic? basic, basic), crumbs and dirt in cutlery drawer, no real cleaning supplies for pots and pans, pulled dirty dishes from clean dishes on shelf, long hairs (our hair is short) on throw blankets. Called and emailed while there, left detailed notes upon departure, and will certainly look for Meredith managed properties and avoid,

Really enjoyed our stay, very comfortable home with lots of charm and beautiful view overlooking the frozen stream in the backyard. Felt very private with the fence in front yard and gate & our dogs enjoyed evenings in front of the wood burning stove.
