Nestled in Ohio, this attractive cottage for $139 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. What's going to be your favorite feature? Early morning coffee while enjoying the sunrise over the surrounding hills? Late night stories around the backyard fire pit? Adirondack chairs on the wrap around deck? Frogs croaking from the lagoon? A four person hot tub on the lower patio? Hardwood floors? Cozy loft room? You'll probably have to experience it before you can really choose. The space We're not really sure how to describe the settings around the Grand View Cottage, so we'll just let the pictures do the talking. There's nothing quite like waking up on one of the many rolling hills of Amish Country, and sipping your morning coffee from our wrap around deck. Or maybe your idea of fun is staying up late with friends around the fire pit in the back yard, reminiscing about the days adventures in one of the most idyllic communities in the US. Take the photo tour, and dream about your next get away in Holmes County, Ohio. - 7 minutes from the Ashery Country Store (bulk food paradise!) - 10 minutes to Dundee Falls (a must see if you like to do a little hiking!) - 15 minutes from downtown Walnut Creek - 15 minutes from downtown Berlin - 25 minutes from historic downtown Millersburg - 30 minutes from downtown Canton Guest access Everything is open to the guests except the use of the garage. Other things to note - If you don't like steps, this isn't the place for you. - If you have young children who aren't safe around steps, this isn't the place for you. - Please note, that this is in the country, with goats in a neighboring field (seasonal),frogs in a close by lagoon, and crickets galore. If nature sounds freak you out, this isn't the place for you. The Grand View Cottage is at the back end of a private road, that is off of a township road, that comes off of a county road. In other words, you're not going to need to worry about heavy traffic noise or interruptions. Unless of course the sound of the occasional horse and buggy clipping along sounds like heavy traffic noise to you. Amazing view over wooded hills and farmland. Absolutely breathtaking. Getting around I'm afraid there's no option for public transportation around here. Uber would probably inform you that you must have fallen off the map. But there is plenty of free parking for all of the vehicles in your entourage, both big or small.

We stayed here for one night and loved everything about it. It’s almost like a 3 story tiny house, although it looks big from the pictures. It’s cozy and quaint and the owners thought of everything. We loved the hot tub and fireplace and the quiet! We will definitely be back in the summer to enjoy that porch and fire pit.

Everything was as described in the listing. Very relaxing experience with a peaceful setting. We also enjoyed the daily visits from the goats and the chocolate chip cookies upon our arrival. Only thing that would have made it spectacular would be another bathroom and less stairs. Lol Host was very prompt and pleasant. Hope to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

If you are wondering if you should stay here… the answer is yes! We were looking for a beautiful place to do nothing and that’s exactly what we got. Complete peace and quiet with only the sounds of goats, frogs, crickets and the occasional trot of a horse. It was absolutely magical! Cons. I was not expecting it to be RIGHT BESIDE two half million dollar homes. If this cottage was surround by land instead of homes it would have been so perfect. We hiked, visited local markets, and noticed lots of fall festivals in the area! No coffee nearby on Sunday morning folks! Just fyi! Lol. Brew your own! Next time I decide to quit my next toxic corporate job after 15 years… I’ll definitely be back! But hopefully before then!!! Much needed, and so grateful for this beautiful little cottage!

My girlfriend (Now Fiancé) and I loved this little house in Amish country. She thought I was surprising her with the goats on the property to feed but the surprise was that I was proposing to her. By the way she said yes and we both absolutely loved this place!

Grand View Cottage is awesome! The view is grand. The accommodations are welcoming to include the goats. They greet you as you pull up. Chocolate cookies await you and 3 floors of options, from a hot tub, to relaxing on the wrap around porch to complete kitchen availability. My only suggestion would be, it would be nice to have an extra bathroom, but we worked with it. We would definitely come back. We recommend whole heartedly

We had a wonderful time staying here. We had been previously and were impressed with the property as well as the hospitality from the owners. This time was no exception. It was clean and welcoming and the chocolate cookies were a very nice touch! The view is beautiful and the goats were a lot of fun. And almost three years after our first visit (our first trip as a couple) we got engaged on the balcony! With the goats watching on. It was perfect. Thank you. We will be back!

We did not realize the bedroom and the bathroom were on different floors. Maybe I did not read far enough. My husband has had recent hip surgery and we were not comfortable with him going down stairs, so we managed by sleeping on the hide a bed. Enjoyed the deck, but did not use the hot tub.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The view is so relaxing. We got to see the goats this trip and got to feed them. Each female goat had babies. They were so fun to watch as little goats are so comical as they play with each other. The location is quiet, just the right place to recharge. There is a wrap around deck you can sit on and watch the sun come up as you sip a cup of coffee. We will be back!

The property was very nice and clean. The only suggestion I would make is better direction to locate the property. We did not arrive till after dark and had a hard time finding the road to turn down. The property owner was great in helping us when I called and told him we were lost. I cannot wait to return to the property to see the goats and more wildlife in spring or summer

My husband and I spent one evening at this cottage and it wasn't enough time. The place is very relaxing. The wrap around porch has a glider and adorandik chairs. The bottom level is the kitchen, next level is the living room, and the top level is the bedroom. The owner is correct... if you can't do stairs, this place is not for you. There are 3 goats in a pasture right next to the cottage. They are fun to watch. Hot tub was really nice. We highly recommend this place.

My husband and I drove up from Texas and stayed a week here, the cottage is beautiful, impeccably clean and well furnished. It was centrally located for us, as we have both Amish and non-Amish friends in the area. The hot tub was really nice on those cool evenings! Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, and there are lots of little markets/bulk food stores close by. The cottage sits on a hill and the upper level porch has a beautiful view of the farms and fields and it is very relaxing up there. As the host has said, there are stairs in this cottage, but we weren’t put off by that at all. The host, Eli is very quick to respond to messages, although we didn’t get to meet him. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We first arrived on the property right when the sun was going down. All I can say is wow!! What an amazing beautiful view! Loved the goats! The goat food was an added touch. My girls ages 11 & 6 enjoyed it so much. We loved spending our evenings and late nights porch sitting. Couldn’t get enough of how beautiful those sunrises and sunsets were. Very peaceful area. Loved the cookies the host had waiting for us. Whole experience was wonderful! After friends saw my pictures several wanted more info and are wanting to rent as well. We would definitely come back!

This was a small, charming place to stay. It was clean, quiet, and well located, with nice amenities (but be ready for a very tiny bathroom). From the photos we were expecting to be on a farm where we could watch Amish in buggies driving by. As it turned out we were at the end of a very nice neighborhood of new houses. We actually had a friendly visit with one of the neighbors. We only saw cars and semi's (at a distance) on the country road in front of the cottage, but overall, the view was beautiful. Rolling hills, trees, and quaint houses. Very relaxing. And we did enjoy the goats by the pond! We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed our stay, very relaxing and peaceful. Eli is great he checked on us several times after a horrendous storm went through and left us and much of the surrounding area without power. Eli did have a generator for us. We loved the goats and feeding them.
