If you're staying in or near Jackson and you're looking for an authentic Wyoming experience, look no further than Rancho Alegre Lodge. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Rex was there to make our stay comfortable. Every request was taken care of quickly which elevated the experience. We were hosting a private group on a wellness retreat, and the home had a variety of accommodation options which was nice. Rex even offered to take our group on an evening sunset walk with the goats as well as build us a bonfire for our last night, both of which we enjoyed greatly.
The home is a bit on the older side and could benefit from some TLC and a good deep clean, but nothing we experienced detracted from the overall wonderful time we had there. Overall, it felt very eclectic, cozy, and authentic. We can't wait to return again soon!

With 18 family members ages 8-80, the Rancho Allegre created a magical stay filled with lifetime memories for our family reunion. When I booked I didn’t appreciate how spacious the property was. Our family never felt “on top of each other” yet had space large enough to gather as a clan. We never saw the children, they gathered eggs, played waffle ball, and learned to play a mean game of pool. The teens put down their phones and made memories. Rex was a wonderful caretaker honest about check in time when we asked about checking in early (he kept us updated throughout the day) and was truly available 24/7. Occasionally during a lifetime the stars align and everything is perfect…that describes out family’s stay at the Rancho Alegre.

This was an amazing property. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The animals were the best! The manager was friendly, and super helpful.

Fantastic potential…..needs to be updated/cleaned. Great views and having the animals on the property was special. We spent a lot of time on the back deck which needs to be addressed….new patio/deck furniture would be nice.
Rex and Ike as property managers were excellent. We appreciated all off their assistance.

Comfortable Property and great location. Responsive property manager.

We had 6 families stay. Rex was awesome and was always available to assist. Started fires and set everything up. Even helped us with a dead battery in a vehicle. Truly a gem of a house with an amazing location with excellent service. We enjoyed just sitting on the deck or the yard with amazing views. An elk herd worked its way across the property one morning and was a treat.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy what Jackson has to offer.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Rancho Alegre Lodge in beautiful Jackson, Wyoming, and I cannot express enough how wonderful my experience was.
First and foremost, the location of the lodge is absolutely breathtaking. Nestled amidst the stunning natural beauty of the Tetons, I was surrounded by majestic mountains and picturesque landscapes. The views from the lodge were simply awe-inspiring, providing a sense of tranquility and a genuine connection with nature.
The lodge itself is a true gem. It exuded warmth, comfort, and a rustic charm that perfectly complemented the surrounding environment. The attention to detail in every aspect of the lodge was evident, from the cozy furnishings to the thoughtful amenities provided.
The accommodations were exceptional for our entire group. Lots of options from bunk beds to private rooms. Most of the rooms had large windows that allowed you to wake up to stunning views of the mountains each morning. It truly felt like a sanctuary.
Finally, the staff at the ranch were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive to every need. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional, offering valuable recommendations for local attractions, dining options, and outdoor activities. Their knowledge and passion for the area made my experience even more memorable.

Rancho Alegre is the most special place that I have ever stayed over the years visiting Jackson.
The communication with the hosts was supportive from the start to ensure that we had everything we needed before arrival. Rex, was an amazing host and created such a warm welcome to the ranch - sharing the rich history of the property, helping with bags, and making sure our group comfortably settled in. He promptly helped us with any needs throughout the stay and was a fantastic on site host.
The Ranch is absolutely stunning and it felt special to stay at a place which deeply respects the richness, history, and tradition of Jackson with vast views, a love for animals, and a charm unmatched capturing the rustic feel of a beautiful homestead. There is something special about staying somewhere that you know upholds strong values, respect, and a love for the home they so generously share with their guests.
We are so grateful for such a memorable time in Jackson and highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.

The place is unique, quirky and fun. Lots of games. Love the animals. Rex, the property manager, lives right next to the house and assisted all of our needs. Perfect for large group. Very large home. The goats and farm animals are so adorable. I still miss the goats

What a magical place to stay! This house is loaded with surprises and is extremely spread out with many different activities and history throughout. Rex was an incredible host and always available when we needed him. We loved seeing the goats roaming around every time we got to the house. Highly recommend this property for a large group looking for a unique experience!

We had a large group on a guys ski trip. The property is great and the photos on VRBO give a pretty good representation. The kitchen is very well stocked. There are more than enough pots, pans and dishes. It's nice that there are spices and other cooking items left by previous groups.
The best part of our stay was the service from Rex, the onsite manager. He went way above and beyond for us. He helped us get a truck out of a snow bank, and acted as an Uber when none were available.
It's about a half hour drive for skiing and 15-20 minutes into town. Traffic was really bad for us one night when it took an hour and 15 minutes to return from skiing.

Absolutely stunning from the moment you arrive! Whether it's Rex's warm welcome or the goats saying hello it really sets the tone for the house. It's a very spacious and cool house. We hosted a surprise party here for my partner and Rex was welcoming and helpful throughout that. There's plenty of activities to do in the house or in Jackson as it's right down the road. We will be trying to stay here again if we plan another big group trip!!! Thank you so much for having us!

Great place for groups. Loved all the animals. And Rex came to the rescue a few times.

Rancho Alegre was the PERFECT spot for a family trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming over Thanksgiving! There were 13 of us in the house, 18 total in town-- from ages 7 months to 75 years old-- to enjoy each other, the mountains, the snow, and the Thanksgiving holiday together as a family. And this was the ideal location to gather. The house is large, comfortable, and full of interesting and eclectic decor. Rex, the property manager, was incredibly attentive, personable, and kind. The rooms were spacious-- and activity in one section/floor of house was not disruptive to another. There were friendly (and cute) farm animals that we all loved-- especially the kids. There were elk roaming through the back yard on multiple occasions (more there than we saw at the Elk Refuge), a clear view of the Tetons, and stars so close at night that it felt as if I could reach out and touch them. Rancho Alegre was ideal!

Rex was a great host and there within a few minutes when we needed him. He was very accommodating and always there when needed. The best host we’ve ever experienced. We have a big family and a wedding on this trip and was able to Have the rehearsal dinner and the reception at the house which worked perfectly.

We rented Rancho Alegre Lodge for our small wedding and it was such a great time! There was plenty of space for the wedding party of 17 and the views were amazing for the ceremony and dinner. The house is very interesting, filled with a lot of antiques. We found ourselves wishing we had more time to explore around the house and hangout on the property. The property managers are very relaxed, pleasant and accommodating! Happy to help out if needed. Overall we had a great stay.

We had 22 family members stay for the week to celebrate our parents 80th birthday. The farm animals were such a surprise, we had no idea how much they would add to the specialness of our trip. Not to mention that we had almost 2 dozen fresh eggs every morning to cook!
Rex and Connor we’re literally a cross between a private tour guide and entertainment for our family. Any need we had they were responsive down to the minute of a text. They even guided us to their sweet fishing honey holes on the snake river. They set up fire teepees for us at night and any game the kids wanted to play they were ready to make it happen. They even went to the store just to get us a special rope for a tug-of-war.
As much as the house had to offer with its panoramic views of the mountains the inside was just as well appointed. You are surrounded by a cozy cabin setting with high-end antiques and space for everybody. We instantly felt at home.
As we all said our tearful goodbyes in the kitchen on the last morning, we realized that it was the house that made our trip in part such a special week. Rex and Connor helped us navigate around the tourists and find local places that were off the beaten path and amazing . We created memories that will last forever. I would not hesitate to come back and stay at the ranch again.

This was our second summer at the property. We rent the home and bring different families with us each year. It is truly a magical place for children. Rex and Connor, the two young men that run the farm, are the secret ingredient to all the wonder. Each summer they have waited to welcome us and take the children around to meet all the animals. Think of the home like a mini dude ranch for little kids. Each year there has been a new addition to the farm. The first year the boys had baby chicks they saved as a surprise for the kids on the last day. This year they rescued turkeys which were so tame the kids could sit and pet them for hours and the turkeys practically curled up in their laps. Every morning the kids woke up and Connor and Rex helped them collect the chicken eggs. The kids would run into the house clutching the eggs so proud they were bringing home breakfast for all the grownups. Connor and Rex stay on property to help with anything we needed. They are happy to run out and grab anything you need from bags of ice for ice chests to pizza,. They know the town so well and are great for recommending all the best local places. The farm alone is enough to entertain your party for your entire visit, but it’s also perfectly located to go off and explore all that the surrounding area has to offer.
The home is huge, each time we have been a party of twenty with 3 to 4 families attending, and never once has the space felt cramped. There is room for the kids play and the adults to spend time together without it ever feeling like chaos. Everything is well stocked with anything you might need to cook up a meal for all your guests. If there is ever an issue Rex and Connor are there to sort it out within minutes, and they do it happily. The home doesn’t feel like a museum where you have to constantly worry one of the kids will break something of value that you’ll need to then figure out how to replace and apologize profusely for. Kids can just be kids, which is truly the greatest gift of any vacation with family.
The views at the property are absolutely stunning. Each night the group sat out and watched the sunset while the kids played with the animals and games in the yard. The first year Connor and Rex orchestrated a mean game of whiffle ball; team parents vs team kids. All the parents felt that was the best day of the trip. In fact, it was the reason we booked again this year.
We have always left with beautiful memories for a lifetime.

We rent a house every summer for our family from all over the Country to meet. We book high end VRBOs several years in advance to get the best! The lack of upkeep of this property is not what we have come to expect in a high-end VRBO.
Connor & Rex are on property & lovely people. We had daily issues that came up & they were available to discuss whenever we needed. The animals are amazing & we all enjoyed them thoroughly.
Upon arrival at R.A.L. we were met by Connor & Rex, & given a tour. Dirty porches, unvacuumed & stained carpets, food crumbs & cooking splatters in the kitchen, dirty towels in the bathrooms, dirty sinks, hair & mildew in showers, stained duvets, bugs in the master bed, filthy windows (which were cleaned 2nd day of stay), dead flies in all of the windows sills & super thick caked on dust everywhere! Debris swept into corners. Half of the windows are not screened so it is impossible to get a cross breeze (no air conditioning). They do have fans for the rooms (fans were filthy). There weren't wash cloths in any of the bathrooms, hand/bath towels were limited (not enough for as many folks as we had staying initially provided). They did get us additional towels upon request. Most of the towels and linens were stained.
I spent much of the first day cleaning before our relatives arrived. They called the cleaning crew to come re-clean but they were not available. We wore our flip flops for the entire trip & left the house cleaner than when we arrived.
The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, gadgets, condiments and spices. Not enough plates & regular drinking glasses for everyone (we used paper plates and had the caterer provide plates for our sit down dinner). Plenty of wine glasses & coffee mugs. Having multiple coffee makers was a plus. The oven/stove needs repair & was unreliable. The fridge was leaking. The ice maker worked for one day. The back up fridge in the garage is very useful for leftovers and beverages.
Many of the showers barely worked (Including the master shower).
The hot tub has broken plastic plate/filter cap with sharp edges.
The deck railing is in need of repair/replacement. If someone fell against it, it would give. The hammock broke and one of our children broke his collar bone in the fall (he should not have been swinging in it). We are just glad it wasn't an adult that was in it when it broke. There are area rugs throughout the house that do not lay flat and were being tripped on constantly.

Quite a nice place, Rex and Conner were awesome! Atmosphere was incredible.

Needs a bit of TLC inside and out to bring it up to 5 star rating. However, our family of 19 was able to spread out and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. A couple of plumbing issues, lack of screens on a few windows( no a/c so unable to open windows) but nothing prevented us from having a great overdue vacation.

This is our second time at Rancho Alegra. It’s so roomy - even with 11 of us there was plenty of room to spread out. The kids loved the chickens and goats. Connor is awesome and it was great to meet Rex this trip. I’m certain we’ll be back.

We could not have picked a better place for our family to stay on our first time all together in18 months. The facility is first class and our hosts, Frank, Rex and Connor could not have been more accomodating. I would recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a unique fulfilling vacation experience.

The house was awesome with a tons of character and plenty of space for a large group. It was a great location in terms of getting into town and to Teton Village. The property had breathtaking views and the property manager was extremely nice and very helpful. If I go back to Jackson Hole, I hope to stay there again!

Everything exceeded our expectations, a great location. Host was gracious and was always available when we had questions or needed anything. There was 17 in our group and everyone enjoyed themselves and there was plenty of room to spread out but still be able to do family events. Excellent venue.

Rancho Alegre was the most perfect destination to host our family and friends for our destination wedding in Jackson hole, as well as have our reception on the grounds. It was the most beautiful location and we feel entirely grateful and lucky that we ran across Rancho Alegre. We dream of returning again in future years for reunions to come!
