There was a pet odor. We were wondering if a renter might have brought a pet despite the no pet rule. My husband is allergic to cats so we did not unpack. We stayed at a nearby hotel. For older folks like us, a TV in the living room would have been a big selling point! The lower level TV set up for watching blue ray discs was not comfortable for us.

The house is beautifully renovated and in a great location but were let down in so many regards. Would never stay there again

1. The house has no wifi even though wifi is available through the cable TV provider -- the host just needs to buy it. Was told they had wifi until about 6 months ago but then turned it off. Sheer laziness in this day and age ... especially at hotel prices. (Note: only wifi is by walking over to the nearby nature centre and tethering off of their working system!) 2. There were a nest of field mice in the house that we had to trap and dispose of (three in total) 3. When it was really hot we opened all the windows on the porch, none of which had been cleaned this year. Had to do it ourselves 4. There is no local host to call (as required by better platforms like VRBO) only a number in Oregon, which never replied to our email or calls

We loved the place, loved the privacy and time to spend witb family. Was able to take our dog.

No wifi, no paddles for canoe.
