Nestled in Clinton, this charming bed and breakfast for $202 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable space is 600 square feet, has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, bathroom with shower and tub, spacious living room with a sleeper sofa, dining area in the kitchen and an outdoor deck complete with table, chairs and a gas grill. Enjoy some meals on the deck! The views of the Indian River are simply amazing. The living space is located on the top floor of the house as shown in the photos - please note that you must be able to safely navigate a flight of stairs. Located within a small marina, which is the home of a busy, seasonal kayak and paddleboard rental business, it is the perfect place to go kayaking or paddleboarding! From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the use of two kayaks or paddleboards each day during your stay (2 hours per day), are included in the nightly price – weather permitting. You will be within walking distance of the Clinton train station, Cedar Island Marina and several restaurants, as well as a 30 minute drive from Yale, a 45 minute drive from the casinos. Two lovely, well-known spas (Water's Edge and Saybrook Point) are a short 15-20 minute drive away. Hammonasset State Park (beautiful beach) is a 10 minute drive. The neighborhood has sidewalks for easy, safe walking to restaurants, the town marina, or just an evening stroll. What’s included: • Linens and towels will be provided • Two parking spaces available • WiFi is available (no cable TV) • A maximum of two (2) adult house guests. Additional guests fees apply to 3rd and 4th guests. A max of four guests. • Minimum age of primary renter is 24 years old Traveling with a larger group? We have a similar property only steps away! This place is a slice of heaven! Spotless, cozy, and the pictures don’t do it justice. Our hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating and were very thoughtful. We were in town for a family funeral and the accommodations were perfect. We loved the views over the marsh and we had everything we could have needed and more. We can’t wait to come back in the warmer months.

Ann and Chris are the best hosts and the apartment is lovely. I so enjoyed being right on Indian River and watching the sunrises. Every amenity was available and I know if I needed anything else Chris or Ann would have made it happen. I highly recommend but want to come back, so I hope too many people don’t rent this awesome place (only kidding!). Thanks so much Ann and Chris!

This well-designed, fully equipped, and meticulously maintained guest house is comfortable in every way. Ann and Chris are perfect hosts- good communicators and thoughtful. We loved the location- walking distance to restaurants and shops and close to Hammonasset State Park. We enjoyed the Indian River both from the outside deck and from kayaks. This spot is a birder's paradise.

Ann and Chris are so kind and have done a wonderful job on this rental. I am admittedly a high maintenance, very picky traveler. This is the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. The bed is very comfortable, as well as the bedding. I was expecting a thin quilt, but it was a nice, thick cozy comforter. It's in a great location, close to so many things and very quiet at night, and the view over the Indian River is gorgeous (I already miss it)! Ann and Chris have even included snacks, water, shampoo, conditioner, and even a sweet note, which was so thoughtful. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the area and I hope to be back soon!!!

Ann and Chris were so understanding and accommodating after Hurricane Ian messed up our travel plans. We stayed in constant communication and they even offered to do some grocery shopping knowing the time crunch we had to get to a wedding! We brought nasty weather with us but other than that it was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! Thank you for your hospitality Ann and Chris!!!

We couldn't have been happier with Ann and Chris' house! The view off the deck was beautiful! My husband, girls, and I had a great time kayaking and my daughter tried paddle boarding for the first time and loved it! So close to lots of stores and things to do. We highly recommend staying here!! Ann and Chris, as well as their staff at Indian River Kayaks, were extremely friendly!!

Perfect location and great views. Kitchen was well stocked, but there are enough restaurants nearby if you don't want to cook. Décor was lovely, and the hosts had even put cut flowers in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again!

Ann and Chris were great with communication before and during the visit. The cottage has a wonderful New England feel and the view is spectacular! Comfortable, tasteful, immaculate, well-located
Everything in the listing and previous reviews is accurate. The apartment is tastefully decorated, furnished to be comfortable, with a well-stocked pantry. We enjoyed eating and gabbing on the deck, which has an engaging vista of the marina. It's quiet at night and the AC cools the entire place well. The hosts are attentive but not intrusive. It's not beach front but being walking distance from downtown Clinton made up for that. Trust the reviews.

A very enjoyable stay. The guest house is clean, comfortable and well-stocked. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the birds nesting in the marshes and boats on the river. Having the opportunity to kayak out to the sound was a wonderful experience.

The Perfect Place
I use HomeAway a lot, and I have to say this has been the very best experience of all (and I've had many others). The house was spotless, high-end and thoughtfully outfitted for a short or long stay. Chris and Ann were wonderful hosts--from the warm welcome to intuiting what you might need to a visit at the end to see how things went. The ability to use kayaks was a HUGE bonus (went out four times), and their crew members, especially Matt and Sara, were superb. And it's a great location--walkable to town, with lots to see in the general area. Overall, a TEN!

Ideal shoreline base
The Indian River Marina apartment was perfect for our week-long visit to friends and family in the area. It's well-designed and equipped, comfortable, beautifully sited, and peaceful in the mornings and evenings, when it counts. The kayak business can be busy, but we never had a problem the daytime bustle. It was fun to watch the kayakers come and go, and the included free use of a kayak was a great perk. This is not an old-fashioned, sandy beach cottage that lends itself to lazy days at home--there's a deck in full sun much of the day, and no other private outdoor space--but as a base for other activities it's ideal.
