Had a great stay, clean and love the view. Always worth the 6hr drive to be there!

We were unaware that we did not have air conditioning in our unit. There was only one fan in the condo. No ceiling fans either. It was extremely warm and uncomfortable in our condo our entire stay. Very difficult to sleep. The coffee pot did not work either which was very frustrating!!!

Great location Easy check-in, though you have to stop at an office location to pick up a key card. Pretty late check in time: 5:00 pm and check out still 10:00 am - that didn’t shift. Had to just let them know we weren’t going to drive into town to just drop off keys and instead we’d drop it off on our way out. Condo is nice but very corporate. Not a big deal if you eat out but if you plan to cook there’s absolutely nothing in the way of spices, i.e., salt, pepper or even sugar. Just come prepared and you’re good.

good location, 1st floor end of building. Ski in and out was easy and lockers are a bonus for storage of skis. One tip, coffee machine power button works but is a little off. You have to press above the button to get it to activate.

I appreciated that every time I called the office, someone answered. However, we did request TP one day and never got it. I had to go into the public restroom to get it. The Staff at Mammoth Reservations was Wonderful!!! They did a great job of being available to answer questions and listen to the few thoughts and concerns I expressed about the property.
The upside of this unit is the ski in/ski out location. I can not emphasize how wonderful it is to “Gear Up” and be able to walk down the hallway to begin your day on the Mountain. Another highlight is the heated parking garage, no scraping ice from windows or removing snow after weather passes through. The unit itself is clean and in decent shape, I would give it 3 1/2 stars, could be 4 stars with some small improvements and upgrades.
The downside mostly references the general property itself and cost. Overall the insulation at Sunstone is mediocre at best. Being on the first floor you will get quite a bit of noise if the units above on the second floor are occupied and from folks walking the hallways especially in ski boots. The unit also sits very close to the main garage entrance door for vehicles. It is very loud and squeaks and squeals when it opens and closes. Regular maintenance could easily fix this problem. Finally, and I have to mention it, The Bed is Ridiculous!!! Please, Please, Please get a New Mattress!!! It has more peaks and valleys than Mammoth Mountain!
Overall for the going rate I would say that it is a bit Overpriced, but a very convenient place to stay. Some improvements would go a long way, but I feel at over $500 dollars a night during ski season one should expect more in the way of quiet and an updated/refreshed unit. Again, Please at least replace the Bed!!!

Great place, need to improve WIFI, too slow

Loved this property. We use Vrbo for our mammoth stay 1-2 times per year and this place really was nice. The kitchen was well appointed, comfortable furniture and very clean. Great view from the balcony and very peaceful location without noise from the street. Would definitely stay here again. Had a leak with the kitchen faucet and called the maintenance person, he was to our unit within 15 minutes. Great service.

Great place, but.. No A/C No screen door in living room, so no airflow overnight..not ideal for summertime.

The condo had all necessary household appliances and amenities such as bathroom and kitchenware for a weekend get away. Very clean corner unit which has an amazing view of the mountains. The family has a nice pool and ample parking. Very close to Eagle lodge, would definitely stay here again during the snow season.

This unit was not as well equipped as the typical condos we've experienced in multiple other visits. We like to cook breakfasts and dinners in the condo to save money and the kitchen of #103 lacked pot and pan lids and other kitchen utensils we expected to find. Coincidentally, the fireplace didn't work when we arrived, but Mammoth Sierra took care of that in a timely manner. Thanks.

The convenience of this ski in- ski out is obviously a great selling point. The condo was very nice, but the beed needed a new mattress. It sunk down in the middle. Also, the ski lockers need to be larger. I would recommend it though, as you can't beat the location.

Ski lockers and a lock provided are an added bonus. Sunstone itself seems to attract an abundance of families which is lovely but expect the noise level to be on the high side during waking hours. The building could have definitely been built with more insulation in the walls and ceilings!
The unit is very cozy with decorated in a cute mountain style. Size wise it was very comfortable for the two of us. I personally feel one or two children could work (would be a bit cramped) but I definitely would not consider more than two adults. A nice view of the from the deck is wonderful for enjoying sunrise and after a day on or in the mountains. The challenges this unit has are all normal wear and tear issues which could easily be resolved a with small financial investment to make necessary repairs and improvements. I will say this first and elaborate on specifics in a moment, I give this unit 3 1/2 stars. It could easily be 4 1/2 to 5 star with a small investment in maintenance and repair. The number one challenge is THE BED. This is not a personal issue, it has been written up in previous reviews. It is old and sags two to three inches on both sides in the sleeping areas, this makes for a sore back after a few days! The next is the fireplace, it is wonderful to have but it doesn't work. We tried manual and remote controls. It turns on momentarily, shuts off shortly thereafter. This is regardless of temperature setting. A real bummer when your looking forward to a nice fire at the end of the day. Finally the last few issues are simply normal repairs. The counter top in the kitchen has one large circular burn mark and several large knife scratches, could use replacing. The blind over the door to the deck will not stay all the way up, the rope is worn and will not lock. To finish the sink in the bathroom leaks from somewhere in the base of the fixture

The condo was clean and worked great for our 3 night stay. Best part is the ski in and out location. You walk outside by the hot tub, click in to your skis or board and it’s short little ride to chair 15. Also nice to ski back to the condo for lunch to avoid waiting for a table at Eagle lodge.

It was clean but in need of some repairs. The sliding door was not working properly and kept falling out of the track. It was extremely hot this weekend and there was only 1 fan and the leg was broken so it wasn’t stable. There only a few cups and one of them was cracked. The only measuring cup was also cracked and didn’t hold liquids. It just seems to me that no one has been there in a while to address any of these issues.
