Our Puppy traveled with us and it was perfect for him as well. I would stay there again with no question. Anything we needed was there and the owner was very easy to work with..

I had a wonderful experience renting Soleil. Janine responded immediately to my request to rent, and to any questions I had. She was friendly and helpful during my stay, and I enjoyed our chats in the yard. I think that the cottage is Just Right! It is a quaint, cozy, well equipped cottage that reminds me of the wonderful, old -time Maine cottages that I stayed in with my family when I was a child. This one has internet and TV, microwave and coffee maker. The location is astounding! I had a beautiful and peaceful time kayaking on the estuary. My dog and I made friends on Crescent Beach, just a short walk from the cottage. He enjoyed romping with other dogs while I had nice conversations with the humans. I just got home, and I am already wanting to schedule a return trip there!

This property has some of the most incredible views you'll see in Southern Maine. The colorful sunset and reflection from the sunrise over the surrounding marsh can be seen from nearly every inch of the property, both from inside the cottage's many perfectly placed windows and from just about anywhere in the yard. It is quite close to the other 2 houses so there are some shared aspects of the yard, but it is such a quiet neighborhood on a small dead end street that you would still have plenty of privacy and relaxation away from the busy public beach areas and chaos that becomes route 1. It is also a short walk to a beach that is great during low tide and about an 8 minute walk to the main Wells beach area - a very enjoyable and scenic walk as well. As for the house itself, it's your typical small beach cottage with plenty of charm - extremely clean and well maintained, tons on hooks to hang things, great little enclosed porch area - Janine thought of all the little details to make it a comfortable stay with everything you would need. There are even kayaks that you're welcome to use as you wish and launch right off the property at high tide. We're already excited about booking it again for next year!

The cottage was wonderful. My wife and I stayed for five nights with our dog. The cottage is very well outfitted and we had everything we needed. The location is great, just a short distance from the ocean. And Janine was great and made sure our visit was perfect. I can’t say enough.

It has a cute screened in porch and a deck that overlooks the beautiful tidal marsh with sunsets in the eve and you can kayak during a 3 hour high tide window. Soleil is perfect for 2 adults or 2 adults with a child or 2 but not 4 adults. Too small. It is at the end of a dead end street with the marsh to gaze at. Very nice. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk. The closest beach to the cottage disappears at high tide. I just worked my day around that and it was fine. If you want to beach it for the day without having to move you just have to walk a little further north on Wells to where the soft sand is even during high tide. To me it wasn't a big deal but I think if I had little kids I'd want to know that. The cottage is also very close to the main parking lot at Wells facing the ocean. It is first come first serve free parking so one day we got there early and unloaded everything and stayed on the beach for free. There are lots of close restaurants, a big grocery store, a church 1 mile away. I felt everything was at our fingertips. The internet was great and Janine was very hospitable and super nice. The location is right on the marshes! My dog and I watched the sun set and the tides ebb and flow. Loved it there and will be going back again

The place is tiny, but well equipped and you wont want to stay inside anyway! The location is absolutely perfect, we really enjoyed spending our evenings and mornings on the deck watching the estuary. It was a quite and peaceful.

Tides didn't cooperate to enable us to really use kayaks but had we stayed more days we may have enjoyed them. Enjoyed our stay at this small but peaceful haven. Ideal location away from the traffic on a lovely salt marsh where the sun sets each night. Beautiful Wells Beach is nearby along with many great restaurants to choose from. Janine was wonderful and I look forward to seeing her again next year!

Just returned from an incredible stay at Soleil! The cottage was just as described, if not better! Perfect size for a couple, although with the sleeper sofa could sleep 2 more. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was clean. The porch is delightful, we spent a great deal of time there and on the deck. We were blessed with several outstanding sunsets during our stay. The views are amazing, the area is very peaceful. Janine was very helpful and informative about restaurants and places to see, looking forward to another visit in the near future!

The cottage is nicely laid out and provided a comfortable stay from my husband, teen, 2 dogs and myself. It's a quick walk to the beach but the real stand feature is the property itself; it's a spacious yard on a vast stretch of marsh. It's a beautiful, peaceful setting. We all enjoyed our stay and the property had everything we needed.

Great location! It was a 3 minute walk to the beach. Located on a quiet dead end street with a beautiful view of a bird sanctuary. This is a pet friendly rental. The rental was clean and equipped with everything we needed for the week! Janine and Rick were awesome and easy to contact. This was our first to Maine and we hope it won’t be our last!

We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back when we can kayak and paddle board.

"Soleil" cottage is perfect for a couple who wants a base for local activities. It is small but comfortable, clean and it is well-equipped for a relaxing stay. The cottage is a 3 min walk from Wells Beach and we enjoyed it every day. Another plus is that it is located at the end of the private lane facing bird estuary - the location cannot be more peaceful than that. There are several restaurants, fish markets/lobster pounds, and a supermarket within a 1 mile radius. We truly enjoyed our stay at Soleil.

This property is in an awesome location. It's on a dead end and we loved the kayaks. This was our first vacation with our dogs and the place was perfect for us. The listing was true to its words and we will book it again. Thank you for sharing your place with us. Louise and Doug.

Quiet! Off the beaten path. Right on the preserve. Has everything needed: comfy chairs, WiFi, close to beach, lovely deck looking toward sunsets over the marsh. We were so happy to have our two dogs and they enjoyed hanging on the deck, yard and long walks on the beach. The area is very dog friendly. I felt like we had rock stars! Beat thing I can say is I hope we can come back.
