About this cottage rental

This beautiful and charming cottage sits at the foot of 16 acres and is quintessential to everything Asheville and the surrounding area have to offer. The cottage is close to everything, yet gives the feel of being away from it all. Built in the early 1900's, this house maintains it's history along with modern upgrades. The back of the house over looks a pasture with cattle, where you can find deer grazing and turkey's passing by early in the mornings and evenings. To the left of the house is a pond that is stocked with fish that we do allow fishing on, however it is catch and release only and we do not supply fishing equipment. This newly renovated cottage comes fully furnished with two bedrooms equipped with two queen beds, a blow up queen bed, an electric Duraflame fireplace in every room, an electric Duraflame log fireplace, dining room, and a 30" HD TV with Direct TV in the living room. The kitchen is brand new and is supplied with all new appliances, granite counter tops, and your everyday basic kitchen needs. There is no central heat and air, however, we have supplied enough heaters and A/C units in the home to more than adequately keep the house, and each room, warm, cool, and comfortable. Outside you will find a brand new 5 person hot tub that overlooks the pasture and pond, a fire pit, and a gas grill. I supply a starter brick of coffee, an assortment of teas, some mini moo creamers, and a variety of sugar packets to get you through your first morning, in case you can't get to the store right away. There are also complementary toiletries at your disposal, should you forget something. The grill is a gas grill that has a mini propane tank on it. What makes this house unique, is it's central location to Asheville and the surrounding area, and everything it has to offer. Travel just 3 minutes to Biltmore Park to tour the shops, eat dinner, and enjoy a movie. Go shopping at the Asheville Outlets that are just 10 minutes away or tour downtown Asheville just 16 minutes away. Enjoy a hike, bike ride, tubing, or go kayaking just 8 minutes down the road, or better yet, treat yourself to a natural hot spring hot tub soak in Hot Springs, NC, just 54 minutes away. I absolutely loved this property. My husband & I were supposed to vacation together but he ended up with a work conflict & I made it into a mini vacay for myself. What a fantastic spot for that!!! Everything was as advertised & it was so comfortable and relaxing. What a fantastic spot…close to anything you would need & near enough to downtown Asheville. My only issue was the bed in the bedroom with the bathroom attached was very soft & uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping in the other room which was a bit better. I know some people enjoy a soft bed but I felt this was a bit too soft. Otherwise, property was fantastic & we would definitely return! Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

This property is beautiful. It is a very old house but super cool. The only thing that we regretted was not seeing the floor fans sooner. It was a little warm for our taste at night so remembering the fans would have been awesome. There was not a clear path to the pond. I guess it was grown up. The hot tub was amazing and the views were great.

If you love a rural location close to shops and trails, this is the place. Loved seeing the cows in back, enjoying the hot tub under the starts with complete privacy. Beautiful interior set up. Be aware that there is no dishwasher, also there is a rather unfriendly note about the hot tub usage and it turned out it was so over chlorinated we could not use it for the first two days. The house manager did her best and was super communicative.

The place was great. The hot tub was just what we needed. They even provided us with a bundle of wood and first little bit of coffee. There are portable heaters there as the place actually has no heat. This time of the year we were able to keep it just warm enough in there with all the heaters going. And the master bed was pretty beat up. I have contacted the host and i bet she will get a brand new in there before the next guests. But def for a quiet retreat this is a for sure! Uber was $20-$30 into downtown Asheville where you can have all the beers and foods you want!!!!

Beautiful cabin, nicer than expected. Hot tub was fantastic. Open pasture with cows visiting regularly. Private and quiet, yet close to Asheville and hiking, shopping, etc. Many extras provided. Best rental we have used. Only con is beds very soft. One bed has large indent on one side. Door knobs falling off.
