UPDATES INCLUDE: *Spiral staircase removed and wood staircase added for ease of use and safety *Ship lap on vaulted ceilings *New kitchen cabinets, quartz counter tops, tile back splash *All new paint and flooring throughout the villa *New furniture *Kitchen opened up into dining room *Living room opened up into sun room to create more living space and natural light *Bunk room built with 3 twin beds *3 bedrooms with king beds *New quartz countertops in bathrooms *New lighting and mirrors in bathrooms *New bedding, sheets and towels This town home style villa features beautiful water views from your private deck on the 11-mile lagoon in Palmetto Dunes. The bedrooms are set up as follows: *Master bedroom on main level has a king bed *Guest bedroom on main level has a king bed *Guest bedroom on 2nd level has a king bed *Guest bedroom on 2nd level has 2 bunk beds and a twin bed (sleeps 3 in beds) There are 3 full baths, 2 on the first floor and 1 on the second floor. Captain's Cove is part of the Oceanfront Captain's Walk complex across the street. Walk 2 minutes out your front door to access the gorgeous beaches in Palmetto Dunes. Captain's Cove guests are able to enjoy the spacious oceanfront pool at Captain's Walk as well as the grill areas by the pool. Additional grill areas (charcoal) are located in between each Captain's Cove building, making it easy to enjoy a nice meal at home. The pool is open from March 1st - November 30th and is heated from March 1st - April 30th and October 1st - November 30th. During the closed season the deck is still open for use. The kids' pool I open April 1st - September 30th. This unique property offers tranquility on your back deck overlooking the peaceful lagoon, while being so close to everything Palmetto Dunes has to offer! Steps to the beach, biking trails, tennis, pickleball, golf, restaurants, etc. The Omni Hotel is across the street offering a coffee shop/market and world-class restaurants. Each villa has 2 assigned parking spaces right in front, making it easy to bring in your luggage and groceries. If you need additional parking you can park across the street in the Captain's Walk complex.

My wife, our children, my adult sister and our elderly parents came to spend a week for fall break. The property is in the best location on the island (Palmetto Dunes). With bike rentals, restaurants, general store, tennis/pickle ball courts, and easy access to the beach and quick bike rides to the best locations. The condo was immaculate and spacious. So welcoming and conducive to enjoying the environment. The canal in the back was peaceful and gave views of birds and occasional turtle or small alligator. Great setup for grilling outside. The owner was so helpful and very responsive. Easy checkin, easy checkout. We will definitely be back!! 5 stars all around!

This is our third year at this condo. We definitely love all that it offers - close to the beach and pool, comfortable mattresses, and accommodating host. The dishwasher is in need of repair and the deck was not safe for littles. But Mara was very attentive to have the deck replaced! Hope to return next year!!

This is by far the best place we have stayed in Palmetto Dunes. Loved the location on the lagoon but still close to the beach. The owner is responsive and helpful. The family wants to stay here again next year.

The condo was very nice & clean. It had a great location close to pool & beach. I loved the bike paths with the underground tunnel to Shelter Cove. The kids loved seeing the alligator & egret in the back waterway. The condo had all the amenities you could ask for. I would definitely rent it again.

Our stay was wonderful! Mara is an excellent host and responded to us whenever we had any issues. We've already booked it for a fourth year. The space is very clean, with minor scratches and dirt marks on doors. The kitchen provides guests with everything they need, including the outdoor closet with beach chairs, umbrellas, and a wagon. We are very pleased to hear the master bathroom is being renovated, Mara has been renovating items each year -- keeping it up to date!

Beautifully done, spacious townhome on peaceful lagoon yet only 2 minute walk to the sand. Easy to come back in for lunch. Plenty of sleeping space. We saw lots of wildlife from the back deck, great spot for a quiet morning coffee. Nice touches like bunk beds, beverage fridge, beach equipment. Enjoyed the Captains Walk pool. We are longtime fans of Captains Walk beach location, but if you’re looking for a little more room, this gem right across the street is a best bet!

We love Palmetto Dunes area but this was the best place we have stayed! So peaceful on the lagoon and easy walk to beach and pool. Place was large enough for our group of 9 and the kitchen perfectly stocked for any type of cooking you want to do. Will definitely stay here again.

The house is clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect! It's only a 5 min walk to the beach and pool with kids. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck overlooking the lagoon. Three generations enjoyed our vacation and stay at 491. The area is safe and secure and allowed our young adults to have their independence. The bike/walking paths and ramp to the beach allowed grandpa to get around easily, even with his walker. We liked being close to restaurants, grocery and shopping. All this AND the living space was beautiful and clean and had great spaces to sit outside to enjoy the weather and scenery. Thank you for making this a wonderful trip!

The accommodations were perfect and gave enough elbow room for all of us. We had a party of eight people that included a 9 month and 4 year old. The kitchen is well equipped that allowed us to have a few home cooked meals. We had access to beach chairs and a wagon to load beach item's in. A short walk to the beach made sunrise walk or first cup of coffee refreshing. We enjoyed being able to sit outside looking over the lagoon. I am glad we found this property in our search as we love the Palmetto Dunes area. The grounds are kept clean and the pool area are very nice. I was able to communicate with the owner (Marra) from asking questions before we committed to stay here to a small question while at the villa, she was great to deal with as was vrbo.

Our week at Mara's property at Captain's Cove was absolutely perfect. The location can't be beat - with the lagoon out back and the beach and pool across the road, grocery stores, patios, and parks within biking distance. The unit was clean, well supplied, and had everything we needed for an easy, relaxed vacation. We will definitely be back!

From the moment you walk in this villa just feels so open, pristine, beautifully decorated and the location couldn't be more perfect. Literally a two minute walk to the pool and beach. Sitting on the back deck looking at the lagoon spotting birds was also a plus. Mara's responsiveness from the initial contact through the entire stay couldn't have been better. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

This home exceeded our expectations. The renovations in 2019 were awesome, it is so close to the beach and there was enough room for everyone! Mara was great and was available for any questions. Will definitely choose to stay here again!

Extremely pleased with the entire experience. The Condo was really clean, everything we needed was in place. Gated Community was a plus. Location of unit was ideal for shopping, restaurants. Access in or out was simple. A plus was the comfortable beds. We would consider renting again.

This property had everything we needed for a wonderful week away...plenty of space for four adults, beautiful lagoon view, a short walk to the ocean and pool, all the amenities we could ask for, a well-stocked kitchen, super comfortable beds...and was very clean!

We have stayed many times in Hilton Head over the last few years. We have rented a place in every Plantation available . This villa , by far is our favorite. The location to the beach , pool, restaurants , grocery ,and shopping was so awesome! We could even walk to the little general store for last min needs and late nite ice cream cravings !
In addition to that, we had exceptional communication with Mara ( property mgr.) during our entire stay . She checked in just to make sure everything was going well with our stay.and welcomed us to call with any questions. The villa is well decorated and had plenty of space. We really appreciated how clean it was (many places on the island lack cleanliness). This is the 1st place I was comfortable walking on the floors barefoot without having to worry about my feet looking like I walked down a dirt road ! I
am not sure what the standards are for property mgmt companies on HHI but cleaning services were “mediocre” at best in most other places we have rented.
The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. I was able to make several crock pot meals to come home to after a long day. Eating out can be costly on the island and sometimes no availability because many do not take reservations. I would absolutely book this place again !

First off, the location is amazing. My family and I couldn’t have been happier with the location of this condo in proximity to the beach. The owner provided bike rentals, which was a really awesome surprise. The provided beach chairs came in handy as well.
I had two issues I approached the owner with and she was incredibly responsive to both, and was very polite.
The big issue I had is this condo seems to have a bad mold problem. So bad that when we got home and unpacked our items, we noticed some of our clothes smelled incredibly musty. If you or your companions have any sensitivities to mold, they will have a hard time staying in this condo. The first two evenings I went to bed sick and woke up sick. The mold is most prevalent in the room with the bunk beds. It was coming out of several places that had openings in the rooms. I reported the issue to the owner, who immediately called her contractor who came to clean up the mold around the openings. That’s great, but I’m thinking there is a much bigger problem behind the walls. Take this with a grain of salt, as I’m not a mold expert, but you can smell it as soon as you walk through the front door.
I would not stay here again only because of the mold issue. Everything else about the condo was really great.

Loved the house and the deck overlooking the lagoon. Two minute walk to the pool and beach. We had a lot of fun playing pickle ball at the great facilities. We will be back!

Pros - Just across the street from the beach and pool. We loved having tea each morning on the patio overlooking the lagoon.
It was nice to have 3 king beds, so each couple had plenty of room. They had all the amenities you could ask for in the kitchen, including a beverage cooler!
Cons - Bathrooms could have been cleaner. There was mold around the vents in the bunk room, but luckily we didn’t have anyone staying in the room. The homeowner immediately said she would notify the cleaning crew.
Overall - Great location and updates. I would recommend staying at this property and I would return!!

Mara's condo was an amazing place for our family to stay! There was more than adequate space for all of us - from bedrooms to living space. An added bonus was the deck off the back with a great view of the lagoon. Location was perfect! It was just a short walk across the street to a beautiful pool and a few steps further to the beach. Mara was an outstanding host - very helpful, communicative, and responsive. Thank you for everything - we loved every minute!
