About this bed and breakfast
Completely private guest house. Loft like feel with open, high ceilings. 100 year old barn door gives privacy to bedroom area and adds lots of warmth and character to the space. Comfortable queen bed with cotton linens, smart TV, WIFI, good closet space and full kitchen with most everything you need for making simple meals. Coffee and tea provided for guests. Hosts live on site should you need anything during your stay. Private outdoor space for warmer weather. Our detached guest house is super clean and offers modern design elements with cozy, warm details. And it lives much larger than its 460 sf. It has all the amenities you need for the perfect getaway. The space is great for couples or the solo traveler. Easy access to freeways, airport (12 min. by car or taxi), public transportation, bike ways and many of Portland's hottest neighborhoods in both NE and SE Portland. Downtown is an easy 10-15 minute drive. We are located in Northeast Portland. We are blocks from the Hollywood, Laurelhurst, Mt. Tabor and Rose City neighborhoods with very easy access to freeways and major streets like Burnside and Sandy Blvd. Max train stations are close by as well. Several grocery stores less than 5 minutes away - by car. Restaurants, a brewery with food carts and coffee just blocks away. Providence Portland Medical Center is just a couple blocks away as well.

Property was very clean and comfortable and the perfect size for the two of us. Very well equipped-loved having the washer and dryer. Jean responded very promptly to the few questions we had. It was close to our son and his family and in a great neighborhood. We walked around several times during our week long stay. We’ve already booked two additional stays for later this year!

This was the perfect place to stay in NE Portland. It is very convenient to major roads. The street is part of a greenway for use by bicyclists, walkers and cars -- 20 mph speed limit. We were able to fix marinara sauce and meatballs to take to our daughter's for a dinner. This means the kitchen, utensils, etc. was just what we needed. We had a lot of luggage and gear for hiking -- so the walk from the street was a little long, but not really a problem. We liked the openness and the skylights. It was Fall and there was a maple turning red over one skylight. We are already planning our return trip and will stay again.

I stayed here with my dog for a week so I could visit my 97 year old mother who lives in the area. This little bungalow was perfect! Very quiet, very clean and very easy to get to. It has everything you could possibly need for your stay. I hope to stay here again for future visits. Thank you for providing such a quaint little place!

We visited Portland to see the PNW waterfalls and hike Oregon coast. This location was great for easy access to the waterfalls. Good communication with host with fast response when needed. Enjoyed our stay!

Property is so charming and private, tucked away behind the main house. Clean, light and airy and tastefully decorated. Bathroom and shower was beautiful with the convienence of a washer and dryer at your disposal. Location was great with easy access to quaint neighborhoods, parks, food carts, bars, restaurants and driving distance to much of Oregon's beautiful scenery and mountains. Property owner was accessible and quick to respond!! Would definitely stay here again!!

This small home had everything we needed for our stay. We cooked a full meal here and all kitchen tools, cookware, and dish ware were available in the well equipped kitchen. The home itself is clean and beautiful and feels more spacious than its square footage, with its high ceilings and uncluttered decor. And the host, Jean, is very helpful and hospitable. Would definitely recommend this stay if you are going to be in the area.

We enjoyed our stay in this gas house. It was conveniently located, there was always a parking space for us in front of the property, and the check in/check out process was very easy. The owner also communicated well with us.

Lovely location, easy access, had everything I could have needed, very clean, good wifi, host was communicative and allowed me to check in early when my plans changed.

NE Portland Spot
I would recommend this new and wonderfully comfortable dwelling to any single person or couple, perhaps even a couple with a baby. Everything sparkles and not one detail has been overlooked! We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every moment. It’s super convenient to the MAX line (which we took downtown and to the airport) and there are numerous grocery stores as well other things to do within walking distance. We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend and it was the location (near our former neighborhood) that made it ultra convenient for us, but I would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Portland. Jean is a wonderful host and she was very easy to communicate with. I do not hesitate to give this spot 5 big stars!

This is our 2nd stay at this wonderful property. Upon arrival everything was spotless. Because we were staying over Valentine’s Jean surprised us with chocolate truffles & a bag of fresh ground Valentine’s coffee.

We were incredibly happy with the guest house we stayed in from Jean. It was clean, cozy, adorable, and Jean really thought of EVERYTHING. I only wish we had been on a longer trip to take full advantage of the amenities.

A Home Away From Home
I have nothing but kind words for Jean and their lovely backyard guest house. Not only was it cozy and clean, it was also welcoming. Perfect for our visit to the kids
This unit was perfect for our visit to our kids. It is located right in the neighborhood, close to everything. It’s open, airy, and well equipped for everything we needed. We hope to return soon.

Jean's lovely almost new, very clean and bright cottage is nearly perfect. Two suggestions for improvement would have moved it into shear perfection for us... a Britta pitcher for filtered drinking water and ice and a hand-held shower. The neighborhood is quiet with minimal traffic. It encouraged us to get out and walk. While parking is on the street, not once in 4 days of coming and going were we unable to park right in front of the property. Shiva didn't mind being outside on her leash in the charming little patio right in front of the cottage. It was a perfect place to have our morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening. Would definitely book with Jean again if traveling to or through Portland.

Enjoyed this efficient newly renovated sparkling clean well equipped mini cottage. Quick walk to New Deal cafe for great breakfast. Great neighborhood to walk, park nearby. Very quick ride to restaurants all over the northeast district.

It is a perfect place to stay.
The bungalow was clean, cozy and comfortable. It was close to our new grandbaby! Located in a nice neighborhood with easy access to restaurants , groceries and highways. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and helpful. The bungalow was private. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Jean!
