You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Very cozy, peaceful home. All the comforts you will need. Gorgeous property with million dollar views. The owners are extremely friendly and genuinely care about your stay!

The pictures on the listing do not do it justice! The cottage is tastefully decorated with comfortable amenities and beautiful artwork. Lots of books and games to keep you busy on rainy days. The home has a very open floor plan and was perfect for our family of four. It was impeccably clean! There were many condiments and pantry items in the well-appointed kitchen (we did lots of cooking!), and necessities in the bathroom. Nice cozy towels for both the beach and the bath, and lovely cotton bedding. Alingside the grassy lawn and comfy Adirondack chairs, there is a fire pit with wood provided. We enjoyed our dinners on the picnic table in the backyard, beachside. Just steps away is the sandy beach. Our kids loved playing in the waves, and Lauri and Scott offered many water activities, like kayaking and wind surfing. The birdwatching over the water is superb, and if you are swimming, you will see marine life. We loved the quaint and quiet neighborhood and many friendly neighbors and dogs. On our walks, we saw lush woods, historic barns, horses, and beautiful gardens. We found lots of shells and Seaglass on the nearby neighborhood beach, and we enjoyed delicious seafood at the many nearby restaurants, both casual and more formal. Next time, we will bring our bikes! Our hosts were kind, helpful, accommodating, and easily available. We will be back!! Thank you, Scott and Lauri!

Great hosts, very responsive, they made sure everything was absolutely perfect. This place looks even better in person than the pictures would have you believe. Central A/C, good WiFi, quiet and friendly neighborhood, the cabin is very clean from top to bottom. Easy check-in and check-out process, great parking setup for two vehicles. Owners are right next door if you need anything. We would gladly book this cabin again with no hesitation.

Beyond relaxing and a nice escape! Owner’s approachable and invested in us enjoying our stay. Would come back in a heartbeat- would have preferred to not leave so soon!

This property was perfect for our needs. The location is superb and the house is extremely well furnished - everything we needed was provided. The house was very clean and comfortable, and the setting is gorgeous. We expect to return to the area again and hope to be able to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was so peaceful and relaxing. Outside deck with comfortable Adirondack chairs for sunset was definitely a highlight.. Leonardtown nearby. Great restaurants and coastal market at the wharf. We were sad to leave.

It’s been a while since we visited our kinda-regular beach house haunt just outside DC as usual we had a lovely time. It’s the perfect place just to be - to read, do jigsaws and play with your kid(s). Whatever the weather is doing outside. Can’t wait to return.

No better location than right on the water! Very convenient to everything so we could explore St. Mary’s county while visiting family in the area but still tucked away and peaceful so it felt like a vacation!

Another great stay in this peaceful spot right on the water. We enjoyed amazing sunsets, eating at local restaurants and visiting the oyster festival. Can’t wait to stay again!

Beautiful way to escape And relax just looking at all the water rain or shine

We had a wonderful time at this property. The sunsets are to die for and we planned our days around them. The cottage was beautiful and a perfect home away from home for us and our two small children. Laurie was a wonderful host.

We were in St. Mary's County to visit our daughter who is at St. Mary's College of Maryland student. The cottage was a perfect home base - open, clean, comfortable, with a beautiful location. We hope to stay again!

I had a wonderful mid-week stay at The cottage. Beautiful views of the water and wildlife as I did nothing but relax. Lauri was a friendly and gracious host and her property is well-appointed and immaculate. I could have stayed there forever!

Everything from the start to the end of our stay was amazing. The whole family had something to do and everybody was very happy and we all enjoy a wonderful long weekend. I 100% recommend this property.

A beautiful beachfront view!

I did not want my vacation to end!!!! We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and find a place to just unwind and relax. We got that and more. This cottage was more than we could expect. It is a beautiful cottage designed with so much taste. It had everything that you will need on vacation from everything and anything you would need in the kitchen. From the bathroom to all the rooms in the cottage had all you needed for a great stay. The views from the home are amazing!!!! The sunsets are one of a kind!!! The neighbors were so friendly and kind. We felt so welcomed. We will be back soon. Lauri was a great host. Awesome stay!!!

Wonderfully quiet setting with a beach big enough to entertain the family for hours! Just what we needed and plenty of good seafood in the area. Definitely recommend!

We rented the property because we were coming to the area for a family celebration. It was the perfect place. After the busy 2 day schedule, the third day was a test and relax day at the rental. The location was beautiful on the river, the place was everything we wanted, Laurie and Scott were great and right there if we needed anything. I definitely will return!

This is an awesome house, very clean and the host was responsive to questions and requests. Definitely would recommend others to stay. The house does not have a pier which is a downside for someone like to fish; otherwise, it would be a return place for us.

We had the most wonderful stay in Lauri's Beach Cottage. It was everything we could have wanted and more. Beautiful home, AMAZING views of the Potomac, comfortable beds, lots of games and Lauri even came over to introduce herself and check in on us. Lauri also gave my daughters access to a paddle board, canoes, etc. They were in heaven! We can't wait to come back again and again!!!! Thank you so much Lauri!

Wonderful stay as usual

The cottage is even lovelier than pictured--and it looks great in the pictures! Wonderfully decorated. And all the windows!!! The view of the river is amazing and you can do some birdwatching from the couch--we even had a bald eagle with a large fish fly right past. And then you just step out the door and can jump right in. Unfortunately for us, it was too windy for paddling while we were there, but when not windy it would be a perfect place for that. If you want some time off the river, Leonardtown and Historic St. Mary's are both very nearby. We had a great, relaxing, fun time and hope to visit again.
