Mountain Top Lodge is a spacious log cabin with multiple decks at the top of Beech Mountain. Less than three (3) miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, this property enjoys winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing, then hiking, mountain biking, chairlift rides, and disk golf during the warmer months. Have a drink at the 5506' Skybar. Hike, bike, or ski the Emerald Outback. Enjoy Buckeye Recreation Center, a short five (5) mile drive away that provides basketball courts, tennis courts, racquetball courts, a playground, and the lake for fishing and paddle-boating. The town of Banner Elk is six (6) miles away, with attractions like Lees-McRae College, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, the Banner Elk Winery, and more. At an elevation of over 5,500 feet above sea level, Mountain Top Lodge offers guests an opportunity to experience mountain living at its best, with cool mountain breezes and mild summer temperatures. The open, level floor plan centers around a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace with gas logs and a vaulted, tongue-and-groove ceiling. Ample cozy seating and an HDTV finish out the sitting area, leading to the kitchen boasting stainless steel appliances and a dining area with seating for eight (8) at the main table. There is additional seating for three (3) at the bar and an outdoor dining table. The two levels of spacious decks include plenty of seating and a captivating view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Recent renovations include adding a sleeping area, another full bathroom, and a game room with a pool table and arcade system. This home is not pet-friendly. What an amazing house and area. Our entire family (Grandparents, Parents, and Kids from multiple generations) enjoyed every minute of our stay here.

This property is gorgeous and has the most amazing views! Kitchen is large and there is plenty of room for eating, visiting, relaxing and enjoying this beautiful part of the country. Great accommodations. Some feedback: cleaning crew needs to up their game (floors were dirty and not even swept well; counter ok kitchen greasy). Also could stand to have an extra towel and washcloth per person.

Very nice house with awesome views. Great location from the ski sloop. The amenities in the house we spot on for our 20 something kids. Hot tub, pool table, video game and shuffle board were huge hits. The entire group love all the deer sightings all weekend. The only let down was we definitely left the house in better shape than we found it. The cleaning contractors left a lot to be desired. Trash left, dirt in areas, just not as clean as one would have expected. But overall a phenomenal property and we had a great weekend.

This was the best rental home ever used. The communication and availability by the rental company was top notch. Can’t believe how easy & convenient renting , staying and handeling the stay.

Property exceeded all expectations! Very clean, roomy, modern kitchen & baths, very comfortably furnished, incredible views from top deck. Great view and spacious house
The only thing that was not good is they did not think about a large family needing big pots cleaning supply and toilet paper and garbage bags . Even when I called them they said they will bring it but never showed up.

Stay was amazing. Hot tub worked beautifully. The view was far better than expected and no pictures could do it justice. Only problem was that there were no paper products, no toilet paper, napkins or paper-towels, and no trash bags. This was not something expected or warned about. But the house was very clean and beautiful

The cabin fit our group perfectly! Everything was very clean and of good quality! Love how it is not cluttered with a bunch of items but just enough to make it cozy! The kitchen had 2 cooking spaces which was very convenient cooking for large group. 2 master suites and living spaces located on different floors, made it very comfortable for both our families! Plus the downstairs game area was such a treat and bonus! The view was so gorgeous and it was enjoyed a lot!! The location was about 4 minutes to the slopes which made it perfect for the snow boarders in our group. This home functioned perfectly for our group and would love to book next year!!
Drawbacks but not deal breakers: there are no locks for bedrooms or bathrooms! Which can be a little awkward, but since our families are so close it was fine. The tubs and sinks need to be declogged. Master beds are firm, but not aweful. They have central vacuum which is amazing, but a simple broom/ dust pan could be more convenient to keep it swept while staying. Lots of stairs!!! The main kitchen and master is on the top floor which is why the view is so gorgeous..but be ready to climb some stairs! We didn’t mind bc it gave us a workout. Lol!!
Overall…this house is our favorite!

We LOVED our stay at the cabin. Super close to Beach Mountain for snow fun, and right down the street the Emerald Forest was a great place to hike. Very clean and stocked with everything you need! Thank you for sharing your home!

There must be supervison
Ok so let’s start with the first thing that is noticed, floors were filthy and sticky. Bathrooms were not cleaned, and beds were not changed from prior guests. I had to send photos of the master bed showing pizza sauce and debris on the comforter and this was every bedroom. The kitchen was dirty, ceiling fans had about ½ of dust – dander stuck to them. The chair on the main level smelt very bad, the couches downstairs should be thrown away along with the rest of the furniture as this is supposed to be kid friendly and glass isn’t kid friendly. The air hockey table is broke, but they make it a big deal in the advertisement so throw it away. The hot tub had to be drained because it was very funky and that was done very late the first night. Yes, the water line broke but it was fixed by 3:45 so we never went in it. Lamp shades broken and just overall filthy.
Everything that we used in the kitchen we washed; the coffee pot wasn’t emptied from the prior guest so that validated all our thoughts. The house needs a full deep clean, with all the Covid19 stuff going on I was extremely ticked to walk into this rental and see it look this way! I made them come and change all the sheets, blankets and pillowcases which I was told they would be there in the morning and didn’t show up until 7 pm when I was bathing my children. I have friends who own rentals and when I sent the photos, they confirmed that this was unacceptable.

Fantastic Property
The view is worth everything. This property was perfect for us. It had everything we wanted. We will definitely be back! Steep driveway so bring 4x4 and chains if you will be visiting during the winter!

Very nice!
We really enjoyed our time at Mountain Top Lodge. The cabin was very comfortable, the view was AMAZING. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessities. We would definitely recommend giving this cabin a visit for a fall getaway.

had a few friends going with us and everyone had to cancel plans except my girlfriend and i.. this home and property is absolutely the best place I've found to date.. everything was perfect as stated.. cant wait to go back again.. might have to make this an annual thing now..

Clean!
This was one of the cleanest rental properties I’ve stayed in. The sheets and towels were clean and they even provided towels for the hot tub. The mountain furniture and decorating was beautiful and fit the environment. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and appliances. We did not see one single bug in the cabin! The view was amazing! It felt very private even though people were nearby. It’s great that kids have their own space and the air hockey was really fun, but make sure to bring activities, games and your own movie player for younger ones. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this Cabin!
