Located in Iowa, this charming cottage for $175 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The depot was built in the mid 1800's. It is located in a small quaint town called Gotham. Renovated in 2014 into a cozy, unique Chalet. Non smoking inside cottage. It has 2 bedrooms. One bedroom on main floor with king sized bed, the other upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed. Main floor bathroom with walk in shower. A large, fully equipped kitchen, roomy living room with T.v., dvd player, internet. There is a scenic bike trail located right outside the depot. Area attractions are House on the Rock, Frank Loyd Wright Taliesen, Wisconsin Dells largest water park, Shopping, artists, and more. Wisconsin River for fishing, canoeing. Gotham is located in Southwest Wisconsin with the most scenic hills to explore. We also have some great area wineries to explore.

We enjoyed our stay at your lovely, beautifully decorated depot. The pictures online do not do it justice. The nature path nearby was ideal for morning walks. It was the perfect peaceful getaway.

Clean, cozy and quiet. Short drive to either Richland Center or Spring Green for site seeing, groceries and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay. Great communication by property’s manager. We’d stay again!

This home is loaded with charm and the rooms are bright, open, and spacious. The hosts are very responsive and the home is filled with all the amenities you could need for your stay. Would definitely stay here again!

The depot was thoughtfully furnished and tastefully decorating. The bedding and towels were very clean and fresh smelling. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. One suggestion would be to add a water purifier to sink or have a water jug dispenser in the Kitchen. Ice would have been nice. Also, a short summary of the history of the depot would be nice.

We were very impressed with the charm and beautify on the interior of this jewel. We wanted to escape for the weekend, and this place was perfect. Quiet, and so well decorated that we just didn't want to leave. The trail adjacent to the property was easy to walk and quiet as well. Our first thought when we walked into the place was "we want to guy this". It's such a lovely stay.

Quiet, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere with just the right decor touches to visually excite and inspire a return visit. Hosts Ross & Theresa were readily available for questions and were a delight to meet and talk with. Will definitely consider another stay at the Depot Chalet. A BIG thank you for a delightful stay and a note to say it was our all-time favorite place above all others we've encountered!

We hunt on land nearby and needed a place to stay - this was the perfect place! Well heated and supplied with comfortable rooms and a great bathroom. And the decor is dreamy and steeped in history. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I liked the railroad theme, memorabilia, cleanliness, size and location. We lived nearby 40 years ago, so visiting the area, especially Spring Green, were special. My daughter and I retraced the hike we took on the local trail many years ago. Although we got lost temporarily, we hiked to Gotham again. Campbell’s Market has a different name but the same charm (Nancy is the nice lady at DJ’s Quick Stop now).

I could tell that the host(s) put a considerable amount of heart and creativity into decorating the home and making sure that guests would have everything that they needed. I definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants an interesting, comfy and clean place to stay.

The depot was so nice, and we loved seeing the historic photos of what it looked like when it was an operating train depot. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. We were in town to see shows at American Players Theatre, and we will definitely stay here on future trips. If you get a clear night when you are visiting, go out in the back yard for some amazing stargazing!

When we pulled up it looked old and Weathered and Quaint, opened the Door and It was like walking Back in Time…. When Trains were the main form of transportation- Full of charm, Antiques and history…. They saved a piece of History and Brought this Depot back to Life for us to Enjoy and We DID!

We spent a lovely fall weekend getaway here at the charming depot. It was spotless, comfortable and oozing with character. Like a step back in time but with all the modern comforts. Loved the central location as we toured Taliesen and then drove south to the adorable art community of Mineral Point. A brisk morning walk on the trail just outside topped it off.
