Comfortable, clean, and relaxing property with fantastic views of wildlife, salt marsh, sunsets, and the Sound. Great location by the ferry in Hatteras. Single story upstairs for your stay. The downstairs is storage for the owner. Great deck!

We had a great stay -- wish it could have been longer. The location was great, right on the sound and walking distance to local grocery store. The only thing I would recommend to the owner is to sharpen the kitchen knives. :)

Never being to OBX prior to this visit it was a nice, quiet, relaxing place on the sound. Beautiful sunsets and being able to kayak out into the sound from your dock was wonderful. Definitely any area if you want a slower pace. Having teens on spring break the weather was “iffy” and they were a little stir crazy. We had to drive over an hour up north to do things. Also, waited 2.5 hours for the ferry to Ocracoke. 2 hours on the way back to Hatteras. Love that I could drive my Jeep on the beach. I’m sure in the summer when your able to get out more and restaurants and entertainment is open it would be a great area! Very glad we went, thanks for letting us stay!

The neighborhood was nice, not too far away from anything yet far enough to have peace and quiet!

This place is amazing! Beautiful sound veiws. Fishing right off the dock. Well stocked kitchen. We had an amazing time!!! I hestitated in reviewing this place because I want to keep all the good places a secret! LOL!

Katie and Jeff are awesome hosts, the house was very clean and the views are amazing! We enjoyed the use of the kayak and fishing from the dock. The location is great with a short ride to the beach for surf fishing or the ferry .

Our family enjoyed the Labor Day weekend at "The Landing". All around, this was a 5 star stay! The property manager clearly cares about their property and their customers. They responded quickly to every inquiry and were easy to work with. The property was very clean on the inside and had everything needed to keep the property clean during our stay. The house was plenty stocked with the tangible materials you would need to cook, which we appreciated! The property is quiet and allows for relaxation day and night. Our family enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and star gazing. The house is a short walk to the local coffee shop, "The Dancing Turtle", which was great! We found the Frisco public beach to be the best beach for our family, but we also enjoyed the beach by the shipwreck museum, though it was a "No Frills" beach -- so, less people but more of a real beach experience! We would definitely visit the property again.

The views from the house were breathtaking the house had everything that we needed including but not limited to housewares, utensils, coffee maker, comfortable bedding, TV and comfy couches, plenty of parking etc. It was a little cool and windy the first couple of days but the house location is convenient to anything that you want to do. The hospitality was second to none stay here again without hesitation.

I just turned 50 and one of my friends and myself decided to go fishing on Hatteras Island. The weather and fish didn't cooperate so well but our stay was great.

Talked to owner about earlier arrival and she said no problem and we showed up around 3pm and the maid was still cleaning and surprised we were there so we waited outside while she finished up. We loved the house and would love to rent it again. Bath towels were nice and thick! Kitchen well equipped. Big deck was a plus and watching the pelicans flying by us we just loved!!

Our first vacation in 4 years and this was the perfect get away for the 2 of us! The view from the back deck was wonderous and we didn't even have to go anywhere to fish! If you're looking for a quiet, friendly neighborhood to get away with your significant other, this is the place to go. We would absolutely rent again.

This house is set on lovely property overlooking great bird habitat. In 2 days in Sept. we saw plenty of plovers, sandpipers, herons, egrets, ibis, pelicans, gulls, terns, osprey, and an immature eagle. Imagine what a full week could bring! Don't miss Jeffery's Seafood location just down the canal to the North. Good prices on a variety of inshore fish. As for the lodging, Q bed was comfy (didn't use twins) and shower was adequate. Lighting could have been better in kitchen (bulb out over stove) and the knives are incredibly dull so a whet stone for sharpening or some new ones would be helpful. Overall, we enjoyed the house and would like to come back for a longer stay and give the kayak a run.
