Castleton Farms is a sprawling, 500-acre compound at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park with a working animal farm, fishing ponds, and gorgeous views. A five-mile paved footpath spans the property and is perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. Visit the friendly menagerie with emus, goats, chickens, pig, donkeys, a zebra, and a zonkey. The magnificent Pool House complex boasts a custom, geothermally-heated indoor pool, and hot tub, (Additional fee — paid at check-in). Castleton Farms is a one-of-a-kind estate with luxury amenities and rustic Virginia charm. In addition to the original 1850s Manor House, the property comprises thirteen beautiful guest houses, intimate cottages and large family homes, all discreetly nestled across 500 acres of rolling farmland. I held a get together with friends for a weekend at Castleton Meadows and we absolutely loved it. The peoperty is well stocked in the kitchen, provided firewood and starters, and plenty of linens. Everyone in our group loved the home.
It's centrally locates to a lot of local vineyards, breweries, and orchards so lots to do! We plan on coming back again.

Wonderful stay for our multi generational family vacation on this beautiful expansive property (group of 22 - We also rented Mountain View guest house) The house is large. The kitchen is well equipped - Ample amount of refrigerators/freezers and two dishwashers is a plus!
The pool is amazing and accommodated our large group with plenty of room. Would recommend renting a golf cart to enjoy this immense property. We enjoyed visiting Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, and wineries which our nearby.

Our large group stated at the meadow house and rock cottage (very close proximity to one another) and had just such an enjoyable time. Anything we needed was available. Plenty of fun outdoor activities within half an hour, and a wknderful selection of restaurants. 10/10.

Big house that worked great for a bunch of parents and their small kids for a winter weekend getaway. We loved renting the indoor pool house and going on walks on all the great trails, especially seeing the animals!

We stayed at the Meadows property for my dads birthday celebration and the property was perfect to accommodate all of us! We were four families with kids of all ages! The property was clean and the grounds just breathtakingly beautiful!

Our Retreat at the Meadows was absolutely wonderful!!
The Meadows large enough for our party of 14, yet super cosy at the same time. The scenery, the grounds, the sereneness of the drive out to Castleton were all enjoyable! Thanks to Connie and the rest of the Castleton Team, we very much enjoyed ourselves and hope to be back again!

Castleton is an absolute beautiful property that was enjoyed by us all. It was great to take a break from our busy lives and just enjoy each other. We stayed in the Meadows home, which was clean and it fit our large family. The property manager was wonderful to work with. We highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

We had 16 family members of all ages on this trip and everyone had a great time! There were things to do for all ages on the property. The pool, of course was a big hit and the teens loved fishing/boating at the pond. The little ones really enjoyed seeing the animals and all of the kids loved having s’mores at the firepit in the evening. The house is big enough that you can spread out into your own space if you would like. We would definitely come back to this property!

Lots of Space & Beautiful Grounds
There was a ton of room for us, in the most beautiful setting! The home was well stocked with supplies. Some things in need of repair (door locks, etc) but nothing that brought down the quality of our stay. I would recommend for a good size group.

We loved staying at Caselton! We will definitely be back. Loved the home and property. Lots to do for families. We went on long walks on the vast property and paths. Played tennis, basketball, ping pong, corn hole, lots of fun indoor and yard games. Used the hot tub. Built fires outside and in. The tennis court and pond were right out the front door. We feed and saw the many animals on property.
The best were all super comfortable, which is key.

Property was very large and the views are gorgeous. I asked for a late check out but was not able to get one...even though there was no one else checking in that day. I found out from the rental agreement (that I didn't see until I checked in) that there is a fee for every 15 minutes you are late checking out. It seems like that is something that should be communicated before arrival. Overall it was very nice accommodations and I see how it would be great fun in warmer weather with the pool and pond right there.

Absolutely breathtaking
This property is absolutely breathtaking. We had our wedding here, and my spouse and I could not have been happier with the houses and the scenery. The only thing I will say, is be prepared to rescue your guests if they get lost along the way. The directions are not overly complicated but many people lose signal along the way and have a lot of trouble finding the right house. In the end, it is absolutely worth it though. I really love this property.

Magical
We loved it. We will be back. My husband and I fell in love with the property and decided to get married there Oct 10 and bring our immediate family. We all had a wonderful time. It was so beautiful and relaxing. The size of the house was perfect for our needs (14 of us). We plan to come back every year as a family for reunions because we loved it so much. Thank you Connie and Paul for helping us pull off a last minute wedding event!

Great property
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Meadows. The house was spacious, even for our group of 12. The setting was idyllic with an “away from it all vibe”. Highly recommended!!!

Family Vacation
We enjoyed our stay at The Meadows House in July 2020. We had 16 people, ages 8-67 from 5 families. We had plenty of sleeping space. Paul was attentive when we reached out with requests. It was nice to have the freezer and drink fridge in the garage. Also 2 washers & dryers helped when we were catching up on laundry throughout the week. The three refrigerators were great! Plenty of storage throughout the entire house, including the kitchen. We brought bikes for the paved trails but the hills are a workout. Every day we used the pool, hot tub, fishing pond, tennis courts and yard. Thanks for a great stay!

The Meadows House at Castleton
This spacious home is well suited for a large group or family. It's a large home with acreage and a fishing pond. The home is very comfortable with plenty of amenities. The bedrooms and hallways are quite large. There are two separate dining rooms, one off each side of the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking items, plates, bowls, coffee mugs, and silverware. There are 3 refrigerators and a freezer. The downside is there is only 1 TV with limited Direct TV service. The décor of the home is dated, but there's nothing wrong with it. The property managers are great people who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The pool house with the steam room, sauna, are superb. If you like getting away from it all, this is a great place to consider.
