About this house rental

Escape to this spectacular estate, complete with panoramic views of Smugglers' Notch! The best of both worlds include the privacy of 10 acres atop a long private drive and the convenience of close proximity to Smugglers Notch Resort (2/10ths of a mile across the road to be exact). Smuggs was voted #1 Ski Resort in the East by SKI magazine in 2017 and has been voted the #1 Family Resort for 15 years in a row. A true gem! There are two large duplex units on the property which share a large deck. The side-by-side chalets consist of a four-bedroom and five-bedroom unit each comprised of three floors of finished living space (2,700 square feet each). The views from the chalet units are unmatched; see skiers on the trails in plain sight. The unique layout of the estate allows for small or large groups. Stay in one home (vrbo 506362 for the 5 bedroom or vrbo 1251543) or rent both via this listing and have the whole property for your group’s enjoyment! Amenities that can’t be beaten: - Private sauna - Hot Tub - Satellite TV, high-speed internet, and Wifi - Wood-burning fireplace in each chalet - Full-size washer and dryer - Towels and linens provided - Fully stocked kitchen - Great food, craft beer brewed across the street at Brewster River Pub - Large private pool (seasonal) - Private tennis court (seasonal) - Outdoor fire pit Finally, thanks to the easy access to the Smugglers Sky Resort, many other activities are accessible at our guests' expense. This property was having some issues and was not quite ready so we only got to stay a night. The property manager was great and communicated really well. This property itself was beautiful but inside needs some work. It has great potential and after some updates and repairs will be a great option for families!

Fabulous outside, so-so inside but worth a stay
Fabulous outside, so-so inside but worth a stay
The setting and outdoor amenities - tennis court, pool, hot tub, fire pit, deck - were terrific. The kids - all ages - had a great time, and the adults also did, just hanging out on the deck, chatting and enjoying the surrounding view. The insides of the houses were a bit worn out and outdated and had a few problems, such as a non-functional coffee maker, an upstairs toilet that had to be fiddled with repeatedly, and a front door that did not lock properly . Anything we brought to the host's attention, however, like a stove that it turned out was unplugged, was taken care of. We would definitely go back!

Our group of 3 families enjoyed our time at this home. The location to Smuggs is unbeatable and the property is very private. The size of the house was great for each family to have their own separate area, which was important for us. Now the negatives. The home is very dated which gives it a somewhat eerie feeling. One car could not make it up the long driveway as it wasn’t cleared well enough of snow. We found that we ran out of supplies like trash bags and toilet paper. We found trash and items from past renters in places around the house which made us feel as though it was not properly cleaned. All in all we really did enjoy our time on this trip but we would likely not stay here again.

This was our second time staying at the property. We love it because of its proximity to Smugs and that it has enough space for three families to stay. Nick was very responsive and accommodating.

My friends and I decided to take a trip to Vermont for fall colors. I must say that the property is huge and was comfortable for our entire group of 13 plus 3 infants. The location is great and we were about 20 mins from the most spots. There is a brewery right outside the cabin which was really nice. The only downside was that the kitchen could use a little upgrade. The stove was really beat and so was the toaster oven. There weren't enough pots and pans and the ones that were there, were really dated. Oh and the TV were not smart TV's so we couldn't cast anything or watch Netflix etc. The hot-tub and deck were really nice and I would certainly come back again to this place. We enjoyed the bonfire and the owner was really nice and had provided firewood for not additional cost.
