Located in Mentone, this lovely cottage for $155 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Nobody tells our story than our guests do. The guest who departed March 15, said, "Perfect for our girl's getaway! This cottage was just perfect for the two of us to hang out with each other and catch up on life! The front porch was wonderful for sunset watching and the screen porch in back was great for hanging out when the sun was blazing. The den was cozy and the fireplace added to the ambiance in the evening. Kitchen is well stocked and the bedrooms and bathrooms had everything we needed. Decor was delightful. The parks nearby are top notch hiking locations, especially Cloudland Canyon. I hope was can return next year!" We invite you to come visit Mentone at Moonflower Cottage. Mentone is a charming little town in northeast Alabama, just a few miles north of Fort Payne and 45 miles from Chattanooga. It sits atop Lookout Mountain, where the views are not only spectacular but there are wonderful places for hiking, the 104-foot DeSoto Falls just three miles away, and we are close to DeSoto State Park. The flora and fauna are spectacular year around and Moonflower is an easy 1/4-mile walk to the heart of Mentone, where there are charming stores and restaurants and more on the way. Be sure to visit the nonprofit Mentone Arts Center, as well as Elevation Bistro, Wildflower Cafe, the Mentone Market, The Hatter Restaurant and other specialty stores in town and nearby. Moonflower Cottage will be the star of the your visit. Imagine being surrounded by antique furniture and oriental rugs, granite countertops and stainless appliances, two king en suites with full baths, and a fully equipped kitchen that's been described as "extraordinary." The screened back porch offers gentle breezes, comfortable wicker furniture and a dining table for six. Breathtaking views, beautifully decorated, well-stocked, layout perfect and plenty of room for two couples, cozy, clean, best VRBO we have ever stayed in! Owners were wonderful and quick to respond. We were there during the week when most restaurants were closed but there are restaurants nearby within 10-15 min drive. Kitchen is fully stocked for those of us who enjoy cooking. Visit the art gallery, will definitely be back!

Moonflower cottage is wonderfully cozy with a beautiful mountain view. Upon entering the cottage, you feel right at home. The kitchen is equipped with all that you need to prepare a meal. The bedrooms are plenty big with comfortable beds. The screened in porch is lovely and a wonderful place to enjoy your morning
coffee. This was our 2nd visit to Moonflower Cottage and we will definitely be back for a 3rd visit!

The space was very charming and comfortable and the view was spectacular. The Episcopal church down the road is really lovely and the De Soto Falls hike was nice. We missed our dogs, though, and will unfortunately be looking for a new place that allows pets if we come back, but it was a great location and a VERY lovely getaway!

This was the absolute best rental we have ever had. Just as described in the VRBO website, convenient, a very homey feel, beautiful view from front porch. Would highly recommend this rental. Loved sitting on the front porch every evening watching the sunset. Moon Flower Cottage was a very charming house that fit our and our friends needs perfectly. Good restaurants in the area and we're even able to attend a street fair down in Ft. Payne. Two-thumbs up!

We got to the house a little before check in and got to meet the owners. Very nice couple. The house was just like the pictures, the view was just what we were looking for. There was a storm the next morning after we checked in and the whole town lost power for 16 hours. We got a hotel for the night and decided to check out early. The owners were very understanding, wasnât their fault or ours, just Mother Nature doing her thing. For the one night we stayed there it was just what we were looking for. Would recommend booking.

Moonflower Cottage is a perfect place to stay. Not only is the very clean kitchen furnished with everything you need, it also has a pantry with empty shelves so you can store your items out of the way. We enjoyed our evenings on the front porch rocking chairs enjoying the sunsets. After sunset, we would enjoy sâmores by the firepit outside. Wood and fire starters were provided. There were plenty of towels and bed linens. I canât emphasize the cleanliness of Moonflower Cottage. Our grandchildren enjoyed the candy and snack crackers that were left for them. If you are looking for a place to stay in Mentone, I canât recommend Moonflower Cottage enough!

My wife and I came to relax and get refreshed on our anniversary and did this place go above and beyond our expectations. The owners thought of everything to make a great memory. From the special dinnerware, to a fully equipped kitchen to extra towels and wash rags. And 2 recliners!!! Now days establishments give you one wash rag and towel. But not here. And then when you wake up you are above the clouds. Great places to see some great waterfalls and some good cooking right in Mentone. If your looking for excellence then book this place now!!!

I would've given communication 6 stars if I could've. The indoor fireplace wouldn't turn on for a minute and after talking to Ben he explained how to restart it on the phone and even offered to come over and help out if needed. The property was amazing and the hosts were awesome as well. We will definitely be returning.

Moonflower Cottage is the perfect cottage for a small group. Two bedrooms. Two private baths. Beautifully decorated living area and kitchen. The kitchen has everything you would need. The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. The house sits across from the brow and since there is nothing built across the street, the view is spectacular! The rocking chairs on the front porch are great! The house is within walking distance to âdowntownâ Mentone. Walk to Elevation Bistro, the Art Center, or Mentone Market. Ben and Mary are super hosts. ( and there are lots of little goodies provided ). We highly recommend Moonflower Cottage.
