Nestled in Tennessee, this attractive house for $258 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Hi there! We are currently on request to book and would love to have you as guests! You can't beat the location at the Redwood Retreat! Less than 3 minutes to Sunset Marina, this gorgeous lakehouse is located above the Obey River Campground, which is adjacent to Sunset Marina. Close to restaurants, grocery store, and gas stations. Did I mention the views? Views galore from every level in the house. With almost 4,000 sq. feet that can accommodate up to 13 people comfortably, it has plenty of places to gather after a day at the lake, but also having privacy in your own living areas. There is also 1,700 sq. feet of decking areas to enjoy the view. Upon entering the home you will see the gorgeous views through our expansive windows, soaring 25 foot ceiling, as well as a 20 ft. stacked stone fireplace for those chilly summer nights. The great room has plenty of seating, with an open floor plan with a fabulous fully-equipped kitchen seating 12. Watch a movie or cook a great dinner. The master bedroom is on the main floor with a master bath and television. The laundry is also on the main level. All linens and towels, as well as paper goods are included. This home is equipped with WiFi and Directv. Did I mention that we also have a screened-in porch area off the kitchen that comes with an outdoor fireplace and outdoor t.v. ? This is a great place to play a game of cards, board game or just relax and check out the views. If you have some in your group that doesn't like stairs, this level is for them. Our loft area is a great place to sit and read a book or check out the fabulous views. This top level has two large bedrooms, with the largest bedroom complete with a t.v. and gaming system. This level has a full bath. The lower level has 9 1/2 ft. ceilings and is its own living area complete with two bedrooms, bathroom and a great recreational area. The main area has comfortable seating to check out a movie including a dvd player and lots of dvds, as well as a pool table. The best thing about the lower level is that it has its own full kitchen, complete with a fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave. Plenty of places to gather but separation at the same time. The lower level has great views of the lake and has its own deck areas as well, which come with seating and a hot tub! Not only is the house wonderful, but so is the courtyard. Complete with a great firepit! It has plenty of seating, chairs, and even a table for outdoor dining. The gas grill is great for bbqs and some corn hole after a day at the lake. This area has amazing views. We have a 1 car attached garage that has a ping pong table. Parking is not allowed in the garage. We have two concrete driveways for plenty of parking. Please keep in mind that the house is situated next to a steep, gravel road. Vehicles travel the road all the time, but boat owners must park their boats and trailers at the marina or rent a temporary slip at the marina. You can now book boat slips in advance by phone at Sunset Marina. *Please note that our 2 outdoor umbrellas are put in storage beginning Nov. 1st and are not put back out until Memorial Weekend. ****We are on "6 day" rentals during June, July, and most of August. Check-in on Saturday with check-out the following Friday. We hope you will choose this lakehouse for your next trip to Dale Hollow! Sorry, NO ANIMALS of any kind are allowed at any time at this property. My son is highly allergic. NO smoking in the house or on the decks, only outside in the courtyard area. Two outside doors are equipped with Skybells that have audio and visual. We also have three outdoor security cameras. They are located on our driveways and outer yard perimeters. There are stairs in the home and we also have two very high decks on the outside of the property. Children are welcome and baby gates are provided but please understand that this home is not "child proofed." Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.

This home is the perfect getaway to celebrate any of life’s milestones. The listing accurately describes what to expect. It is beautifully decorated and has options for seating on every level both inside or outside. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things needed for any type of meal. There are plenty of things to do right at the house from spending time outdoors, playing pool or ping pong, sitting by your choice of fireplaces, enjoying the hot tub, playing games, watching a movie and enjoying your time away. The house was immaculately clean and we didn’t have any concerns. Our host went above and beyond to communicate with us. We are already planning to make this a yearly getaway!

This house is beautiful, updated, and the cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed in. Anything we needed (and then some) was there, property description was completely accurate. Check in process and communication with Julia was flawless and she was so helpful and very communicative with every step, including being on the phone with us when we made a wrong turn. I can't possibly say enough about this home. Thank you for our lovely much needed family time away.

This spacious home has it all! We enjoyed all of the amenities, and the incredible deck areas. The kids are all begging to go back because they had so much fun. The host was easy to reach when we needed something, and we had everything we needed for our stay. Definitely will return one day!

We took our Friendsgiving on the road and this house was everything we could have hoped for and more! Julia, went above and beyond with the communication and all the accommodations in the house, the extras made it so much easier for our trip. We would recommend this house to everyone. Would love to see it again in the summer and in the fall with the amazing leaf colors!

We had a wonderful time at the house! It was very spacious, new, and everything was top notch! We even booked for next year while we were there. Easy access to Sunset marina. Only caveat: Pay attention to her directions to the house, if you go another way, the hills are very steep and it's a rock road, so it can be tricky!

Julia was a wonderful host who offered timely communication. The property was well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. Great supply of towels, trash bags etc. Beautiful property. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch. Fun trip for two families with four adults and five kids. The marina was right around the corner. We rented boats four days. The kids had a ball.

I cannot say enough good things about this property and the manager! The accommodations, inside and out, are well crafted, stocked, decorated, and absolutely beautiful! The manager answered all of our questions quickly and was a pleasure to work with. The view from the balcony is amazing. All I can say is that it's as good, or better than what you see in the photos. We cannot wait to return!

We loved our stay at Julia’s beautiful home in Monroe, TN. As stated, a quick trip to get to Sunset Marina. Home is beautiful and well equipped. Julia is a wonderful, thoughtful host making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend this home and will stay again!

Our group of 4 adults and 9 children had a wonderful time at Julia's place on Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee. The house had the necessary tools that we needed in the kitchen (crockpot, pots and pans, utensils, etc) so that we could come in with our groceries and stay our entire tjme without having to leave.
The location is residential but the way the neighborhood is spaced out, and the location of the property, along with the trees surrounding the property, you feel completely isolated and private. We did struggle a few times getting up the hill to leave the property, however we do not have 4 wheel drive, and it was remedied by reversing and getting more of a start before hitting the steepest part of the hill. This would be completely remedied if/when the road becomes paved and we point no fault to the owner for this; the house itself was more than worth the extra efforts.
We spent our time at the house where the hot tub was used multiple times a day and the many lounging areas were utilized. We had brought out own board games but we're surprised to find that Julia had a huge selection available to us along with a pool table, bean bag boards and ping pong table. When we weren't enjoying our coffee by the outdoor fireplace on the screened in porch, we were walking the road around the property. The scenery was breathtaking as we descended down to Sunset Marina.
Communication with Julia was outstanding. We felt completely prepared before arriving and had all of our questions answered. Upon arrival, we let the host know we had arrived but then only heard from her if/when we reached out to her. She is an excellent communicator and very quick to answer questions or reply by text.
We made some amazing memories on Dale Hollow Estates Road and should we travel back to this area again, we will be reaching out to Julia to rent this beautiful, clean, well maintained home from her again.

A group of friends stay at Julia’s lake house each February for Super Bowl weekend. The house is perfect for the 9 of us. It’s always clean and very well stocked. Julia always makes the stay more personal with her call before we arrive just to make sure we have everything we need. This year I asked her about ride sharing in the area and she did the research for us. She definitely goes above and beyond which is why we stay here every year! Can’t recommend this place enough, it’s definitely a 5 star experience! Thanks Julia!

This property is beautiful inside and out. Our family had a destination Christmas this year and the house was decorated beautifully for our visit. It has a gorgeous view of the lake and it snowed while we were there!
It was pretty chilly in the basement, but the host provided a heater and lots of throw blankets to help take off the chill.
The kitchen has all the cooking, baking, prepping utensils, and pans you can imagine. We stopped at the grocery store before arriving and didn’t leave the property our whole stay.
There were a lot of people in our group and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. It was a little echoey with the hardwood floors and tall ceilings, so if you are a light sleeper, bring something to help with the noise (like a small sound machine or the like).
There were lots of board games, but our group really enjoyed playing pool together and ping pong (even though it was freezing during our stay, they braved the garage for the fun)!
I’m sure the property would be even better in the warmer season when you can enjoy the lake, patios, and hot tub!

We had an amazing time! The house was beautiful, the host Julia was great, everything was perfect. We loved the location and the home was fully stocked with everything we could need. We loved the house. I kept telling my husband the whole week that this is my dream home I want to build. The board games, pool, ping pong, hot tub and fire pit kept us busy despite the trip being in December and didn’t lend itself to enjoying the lake. However, we did find a fun little historical site with an old home and a hike to a moonshiner cave. It was only a 5-10 minute drive from the house. The little grocery store, dollar tree, and family dollar 5 minutes from the house was convenient for last minute items. We will definitely be back!

Amazing house over looking the dale hollow lake! Clean, comfortable and plenty of space. It was decorated for Christmas and absolutely beautiful. The layout of the house is perfect for those looking for a group getaway. Communication was on point on how to get to the house and there is a book explaining the house AND the area. Very well thought out and greatly appreciated. Will stay there again!!

Excellent place to stay, was so clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the screened in porch with the fireplace and all the wrap around back deck. It had plenty of seating inside and out. You couldn't act for a better equipped kitchen and a nicer owner.

This is our third consecutive year staying at the Redwood Retreat. Everything about this cabin is spectacular! Julia (the owner) feels like family at this point :) We highly recommend this cabin! Need to give a shout-out to another small business in the area. Please go see Rick and Sue who own The Fork in Allons, a bit of drive from Redwood Retreat-but his smoked meats can NOT be beat!

Over the last 23 years my family has been traveling to multiple lakes around TN and Ky and spending time on the water. Julia's house is on the top of the list of our favorite homes we have stayed in. No detail was left out in the design and layout of this house for renters as well as a larger family living there. Plenty of amenities and extras will keep the future traveler from over packing when coming to this house. This house has everything you could ever ask from a vacation home. We had 11 (6 adults and 5 kids) and there was tons of space for everyone and the lake was just a very short drive away!! We hope to be able to go back!

Beautiful home.........inside & out!
Very clean and spacious house. Our family of 9 enjoyed everything about the place and it was so close to the Marina. The pre-teens enjoyed the pool table & ping pong table, the adults enjoyed the outside decks but the best deck was the screened in one with the TV. The kitchen was nice to cook in, which we did alot of and it's nice when you advertise a rental property that accomodates 13 and there is dining seating for 13.
We loved that it was very clean inside and out and the owner, Julia was great to work with and so appreciate of our choosing her home to stay on our yearly family vacation. We are hoping we will be back next year.
