This cottage was just what we needed to truly feel like our family of 4 adults was in Maine on vacation for the first time. Lots of elbow room for when everyone needs their own space after a long tourist day. The college age kids enjoyed that they each had their own room with a queen bed. The house is well appointed and very clean. Now on to what sold us to book the place (besides the queen beds in 3 rooms and size of the home). Multiple rooms and the very large patio has an amazing water view that was definitely enjoyed rain or shine. Nice responsive owner as well.

Wow! What a pristine home that looks out over a beautiful bay! Great location for kayaking and sitting on large porch and eating or enjoying the views. Plenty of space. Everything you need is in the home. Owners were fabulous in making sure we got our supplies and what stores there were from the airport. Highly recommended!

This home itself was a vacation! Secluded and quiet but only a short drive to Ellsworth (for groceries) and Bar Harbor and Acadia NP for Fun & Food! The view is Stupendous from inside and outside, and the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and living area were exactly as described and more than adequate for our family of four. We look forward to a return visit!

My husband and I and 2 of our adult children had a lovely stay at this spacious, well equipped home. The proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park provided us with much to do even on rainy days. Foliage and hiking were great! Wanda was very accessible. Definitely recommend staying here!

The property is perfect. The owners were amazing. If we ever come back to Maine and the house was available we would stay here again.

We needed a home where we could have a base camp, relax and cook for a host of food allergies and preferences. We got it all in a beautiful bay side location that was secluded yet convenient to everything. We biked and hiked in Acadia, shopped and dined in Bar Harbor and found all the essentials we needed in Elsworth, all 5 minutes from Hancock Airport. Wanda keeps her home spotless and stocked with all you could possibly need. Mornings from the deck and evenings from the outdoor fireplace were magical.

My sister, myself, and our husbands stayed for a week at this beautiful home. The view is amazing, and the property is very private and peaceful. The home itself was very comfortable and clean, with an extremely well stocked kitchen. Large deck with comfortable seating. I would highly recommend this home.

We were impressed with the gorgeous view from the bedrooms, family rooms, 2 decks, and fire pit. It’s a beautiful and peaceful setting tucked in the woods just steps from the water. It’s close to anything you want to do in Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Schoodic Penninsula, Ellsworth, etc. It’s also very close to Sugar Bakery (excellent!) and many local lobster pounds. It’s notably the cleanest house we’ve ever stayed - the beds were very comfortable, too! Wanda takes great care and pride in providing an immaculate place (inside and outside) and enjoyable experience for those who stay, and we very much appreciated that during our visit. Communication with her was easy and helpful from reserving the house to checking out. We enjoyed renting a kayak from her local recommendation (we spotted a seal!) and staying around the house appreciating the spectacular view and wildlife sightings (groundhog, turkeys, seagulls, etc). Every day the view looked different depending on the weather, and each view was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

We loved our stay here, it is the most beautiful location and minutes from everything you'll want to see. The house is spacious and peaceful, and the grounds are breathtaking. The property was impeccably clean and well set up. There were a lot of rules to follow while we were staying, but I think this means that people take care of the property well. We barbecued on the deck and had a wonderful time exploring Mount Desert Island.

This place in my opinion is outstanding. The views from the large deck were beautiful. The house is spacious and it is the best stocked vacation rental I have ever stayed in. The ocean breezes in the afternoon were a welcome treat after spending a long day of hiking/biking . The owners responded quickly and were very accommodating. My one year old granddaughter had a ball. I would highly recommend staying here!

Well maintained home, very clean with fantastic views. The home is spacious for a larger family and has everything you would need. Just a short drive to Acadia, Ellsworth, and all the harbors. Loved the fire pit in the backyard. We slept with the windows open (screens are in) and loved waking up to the cool breezes off the water. Highly recommend! Thank you and can’t wait to visit your place again soon! One week was too short a visit!

By far the best VRBO experience for our family to date. The house was immaculate with amazing views daily. Nice yard for the kids to run around. During low tide we could go out and walk along the rocky beach and let the kids collect shells, etc. The outdoor deck was great to just sit and relax and we certainly utilized the outdoor fire place for s'mores. Definitely bring bug repellent because mosquitos were bad at night. Most importantly I can't say enough about Wanda and her communication. From the time we scheduled to the day we left, she was a text away. She was on top of everything. Recs for parking in Bar Harbor; check, recs for food; check. I'm big on communication and without a shadow of a doubt Wanda is the best. So thank you for an amazing Maine getaway!

We enjoyed everything. Terrific scenery, atmosphere, and style. Suites our tastes perfectly. To top off the last night our daughters boyfriend proposed. Couldn’t have had a better time together.

You can tell Bill and Wanda take great pride in their home by how neat and vibrant everything is. Bill was very helpful and answered any questions we had regarding the house. If you’re coming with a young one, there is a crib located off of one bedroom (and not a lot of noise is carried from the living room into the bedroom with the crib), a restaurant-style highchair, and some extra toys in the basement. There isn’t much of a drive to Bar Harbor, Acadia Nat’l Park, Ellsworth, or even Bangor; so if you’re like us you might not be spending a lot of your days in the house despite it being so nice and my wife wanting to move in.

We enjoyed swimming and kayaking (at high tide; low tide is very pretty for birdwatching, but it is a mud flat), reading on the spacious deck, and grilling out. This house is extremely well taken care of and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. It's an easy drive to town, and we highly recommend dinner at Project Social...delicious!
