About this condo rental
Located in Perry Township, this charming condo for $109 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Come take a vacation at this peaceful country setting within reasonable distance to the Hocking Hills State Parks. The Sunset Apartment is located out in our barn on the far right. It has 2 bedrooms on the second floor, one with a queen bed and one with a full bed, you can set up 1 standing cot for 1 extra person. It has 1 bathroom on the main floor with a tile shower, a fully furnished kitchen, a table with 4 stools, a bar with 2 stools, living area with 1 couch, a TV screen with a Samsung DVD player. Bring your favorite DVDs . We have Verizon phones which do fair, but their internet service has dropped drastically and we will not provide any internet service anymore until we find a better solution. We do encourage a technology free vacation. There is a washer and a dryer on the main floor. Towels and linens are provided. Country Lane Lodging also offers another vacation apartment at this location that sleeps 5 with 2 bedrooms. Sunrise Apartment is located above our 3 car garage. (google Sunrise Apt. Tarlton, OH ) We have an above ground pool that is open during the summer months for guests use. Enjoy the trails in our woods, roast hotdogs in one of our 2 fire rings, and enjoy our mini farm, with miniature horses, and Snowball the barn cat. Complimentary coffee and snacks. We are located 45 minutes southeast of Columbus, 15 minutes from Circleville the home of the Pumpkin Show, 25 minutes from Tecumseh (outdoor drama) and 15-20 minutes to Rock House one of the Hocking Hills State Parks. There is a IGA with fuel, a Dollar General, and a few small diners in the little town of Tarlton just a few minutes from here. And plenty more to do to keep you busy for a number of days. The Sunset apartment was perfect for four adults. We were greeted by Snowball the cat right when we arrived and were able to enjoying the other farm animals during our visit. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated and had everything we needed and more! The property was gorgeous and well maintained and within 30 minutes of Hocking Hills. We are looking forward to staying here again the next time we are in the area. Thank you Phil and Norma!

My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend to hike in hocking hills. The location was great - within 25 minutes to many trails. The property was very nice and well-maintained. The apartment was spotless and well equipped with basic needs plus some. I would recommend staying here. No complaints and happy with our stay.

Beautiful property, appreciated cleanliness and home feeling, we were comfortable and enjoyed the stay. The price was great and close to the attractions in multiple directions. There was a binder within the apartment for local info, we appreciated that.
Only con was cell/WiFi service. Luckily we wanted to unplug, but it was frustrating to not have the tv and hard to connect to the WiFi with phones or DVD player for viewing something.

One of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. Norma was very kind and we felt safe on the property. It was a repeat visit for me and my daughter’s first visit.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful & relaxing. Only downside in my opinion is that the bathroom is not on the same floor as the bedrooms. For us older adults, that can be a bit more challenging in the middle of the night!

Everything about this property and the surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful! The location is so convenient to all the attractions for Hocking Hills, Chillicothe, Lancaster, and Circleville. There is a resident welcome wagon between the mini horses, cows, birds singing, hummingbirds, butterflies, and Archie the adventure cat. Norma and Phil are both great on many levels, went above/beyond, and provided super helpful ideas/recommendations before and during our stay. I will recommend this property to all my friends – 5 stars for sure!

We chose to go to the Hocking Hills for our family vacation this year and we were not disappointed. We had no idea Ohio held such beauty. And this property was perfect! We were close to everything we wanted to see. It was in a rural area, but all the conveniences we needed were within 2 miles of us. The Stoltzfus family made us feel as though we WERE their family and we truly felt at home here. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and so memorable. You may just see us again!

The barn apartment was so clean, cute, and updated! It had everything we needed. The Wifi is very slow but it didn’t matter to us because we didn’t stay there to stare at screens. Lol! The property was so picturesque and private! We will definitely stay there again!

A perfect place to stay if you want to get away from everything. Just 15 minutes from Hocking Hills State Park, and some great shopping in some small town stores. Would have given it five stars except for difficulty using internet. Also no cable TV but plenty of other wonderful things to do in the area.

This is a perfect spot for our Hocking Hills visit. The rental was in great shape and had everything we needed. We even were visited multiple times by the super friendly cat that was hanging around. You will want to make sure you have your plans mapped out because internet is spotty in that whole area. Thanks for the hospitality!

We came to spend a few days visiting Hocking Hills attractions, which are about a 20 to 30 minute drive away, and take a child to visit Ohio University in Athens, about a one hour drive away. The location was perfect for our needs - clean and well provisioned for doing most of our own cooking etc. We did find our cell phone connection to be a little spotty in the apartment, and we didn't really try to connect to the wifi so cannot speak to that. Overall highly satisfied!

My husband, daughter and I stayed over Thanksgiving and I will say it was the perfect, peaceful place for us! The property is beautiful. We walked the trails on the property, but did not have the time to make a fire in the evening. Next time!! Need are comfortable, however there are no windows in the bedrooms. We had no problem with that. Kitchen was well stocked. We never turned the TV on as we decided to play board have every night. This place is centrally located to the places we wanted to visit. A few suggestions: handrail could be a little longer, a cube or small ottoman with a tray to put cups. All in all we will definitely book again!!

We stayed here for a long weekend to hike Hocking Hills. This was a great place to stay and fit our needs perfectly. Very clean, quiet. It had a washer and dryer, and a kitchen. (Very important if you want to pack lunches to take hiking.) We wouldn't have had any of these things in a hotel. Very economical compared to many of the other places listed near Hocking Hills. I would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this cute apartment in the country country. The apartment was spotless and well stocked. It was a bonus to enjoy watching the cows, goats and horses on the beautiful property. We did not hit perfect weather but enjoyed hiking Hocking Hills anyway. We were 15-25 minutes away from hiking spots depending on your destination. We very much enjoyed the area- but as others have noted, cell service is very spotty and make sure you have maps of the area as your phone and gps service will likely not work. Also noteworthy- the Jack Pine glass blowing studio is definitely worth a stop!

August 7th, 2022. We were there for a mother/daughter weekend. Check in process very easy. Host were very responsive to any questions. Property is beautiful, peaceful , Very clean. They anything you need for a weekend or week! They have farm animals that are great for families with kids. You have access to their above ground pool and fire rings to cook on as well. The only downfall is due to location the Wi-Fi is very limited, if your purpose of travel is work or school then you will need to go into town to get constant signal. (I even had a portable Wi-Fi device with no luck) Bring DVD’S to watch or books to read. Over all, recommend this place to stay and I would go back.

This is our second time staying there and will absolutely go back again. Great location, clean, wonderful property. Perfect get away for a couple or if you have young kids. So much to do and the owners are very nice & responsive. Plus its close to all the caves for exploring.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. My 5 yr old son loved checking out the goats and the cows and miniature horses. We spent a lot of time playing in the pool. We also ventured around the property on the trails in the forest. There are two areas with fire rings. We cooked out on the fire ring a few nights. The apartment was really comfortable and the property is very well maintained. There are clear explanations for how to use everything and expectations for caring for the property. The only thing that might be a problem for some people is that the apartment uses an air conditioning unit that is sort of loud. It also requires that you keep the bedroom doors cracked at night if you want the air. This wasn't a big deal for us (I use earplugs to sleep anyways) but it might be an issue for some. There are ceiling fans in both rooms. I enjoyed the location because we were out in the country but also only about 30 minutes from Hocking Hills where we went hiking one day. I loved the variety of things to do for our son all in one location. The family that lives there is very welcoming. I would definitely want to come back again, especially for the price!

My son and I stayed at the property for a weekend away before school starts up again, we had never been to the area and really enjoyed the hiking and sightseeing. The pool on site along with the animals made for a relaxing and fun stay!

Hocking Hills Weekend
The stay was excellent and the barn apartment was extremely clean. Everything was as described with no disappointments. Please be aware that with this apartment the bathroom is downstairs with the bedrooms are on the second floor in case you have a mobility issue.

Hocking Hills
I brought my boys to stay here to visit Hocking Hills. The apartment is on the owner’s property so there were some people out and about from time to time. That didn’t bother me but my boys were a bit more shy about it. Their setting is beautiful very quiet and peaceful.
They opened their pool to us and their property for fires and walking on trails. That was very nice.
They have a sitting swing off the porch of the apartment I could’ve sat there for hours .
The apartment had everything we needed. It was efficient for space and gathering for all of us.
I’d return again if visiting in OH. Very well done!

Beautiful and quiet
Phil and Norma were great hosts. The property was clean and well maintained. It was quiet. The kitchen was well stocked. They have thought of everything we could need. We had clean towels. They even had a line we could hang our wet towels from the pool. The landscaping was so beautiful! I feel so lucky we found such a wonderful place to stay. Thank you for having us. We can't wait to visit again.

A truly peaceful place
This property exceeded our expectations. Everything about the property is well maintained and beautiful. We enjoyed the pool, and fire pit as well as the company of the furry farm friends. The porch swing is a nice spot for a cup of coffee, to appreciate the quiet of nature. The beds were comfortable and the linens were plush and clean. If our family ever returns to the area we will definitely choose this property as the owners were attentive and kind.

Beautiful country location
This place is serene, quiet and has a lovely country setting. If you want to be close to a bustling town this is not the place for you. Very clean and updated place. Host communicated very well and seemed to be a lovely family. This was our 2nd time staying there and will stay there again if we travel to Hocking Hills.
