Cozy lil' Cottage is nestled in rolling hills and peaceful pines
About this cottage rental
Located in Wisconsin, this charming cottage for $100 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Now with WiFi! Located 2 miles east of Webster, the land is along the Yellow River, in the heart of Burnett County. It is pine barren country. The secluded and fenced in private property provides tranquility for a peaceful retreat. The one bedroom cottage includes a fireplace, sunroom, full kitchen, one shower/bathroom, and laundry. Relax inside watching the wandering wildlife or get out and explore the land and water. There are trails, benches, boardwalks that lead to the boat house and two docks, camping site, and fire pits. I can welcome hypoallergenic dogs. Please contact me to chat about breed, size and fee. Fall is absolutely gorgeous here! During the winter you can enjoy sledding, cross country skiing, or snowshoeing on the property, or jump on one of the many neighboring snowmobile trails. In the summer you can enjoy fishing, swimming, canoeing, and hiking the trails. The cottage is perfect for a quiet getaway for couples, friends' weekends, and young families. Cheryl is a great host! Have stayed there several times, cabin is nice!

Better than we even expected for a small winter getaway! We loved the coffee nook in the morning and spent most the time by the gas fireplace. It's a very cozy, clean, and simple cabin.

This cottage is cozy, likes its name. It’s clean, comfortable, well maintained, nicely decorated and very quiet. We enjoyed our time here and would like to come back in the summer to see the property in all its glory!

My stay was short, but much needed. The cottage was clean and cozy and I felt very much at home. Cheryl's notes in the cottage along with our communication via the app were excellent and appreciated.
Webster is a cute small town with a trendy cafe, a cozy used bookstore and an adorable antique shop among other establishments. There are numerous parks and trails that I wasn't able to explore due to rain, but drove around curvy backroads taking in the views of autumn foliage and lake scenes.
I could see this becoming an annual trip to retreat from the demands of everyday life or possibly bringing a friend to enjoy coffee and birds on the patio.
Thank you Cheryl for sharing your cozy lil cottage with the rest of us.

Beautiful cabin in the woods just perfect for a weekend getaway. Will stay again when I come up this way. Very peaceful and the host was wonderful! Hiking trails on the property that lead down to the river.

Was looking for a place to stay a couple more days in the area after going on the Great Northern Railway.
I would have to say this property rates best over any other previously. Nicely located cottage with great space and in a nice quiet area.
Well appointed, extremely clean, clear instructions on items in building.
Couldn't take advantage of checking out other aspects of the property due to wet weather but excited about coming here again! Enjoyed a brief conversation with the owner as well.
A comfortable couple of relaxing days in a pretty setting.

I cannot say enough good things about this property. The cottage sits on the owner's property, but you would never know as it is completely private. The grounds are beautiful and located just a short walk to the flowing Yellow River. We felt relaxed the minute we pulled up!! We purposely choose remote places, but this cottage is SO convenient to all neighboring towns while having the remote atmosphere. It is apparent that Cheryl is very conscious to honor our planet. She is very purposeful when it comes to keeping the grounds natural yet beautiful, and her thoughtfulness overflows into the cabin as well. Anything and everything you would ever need is available in the cottage. Communication with Cheryl was fantastic. We didn't want to leave. We hope to come back again and stay LONGER!!!

We had an awesome few days to ourselves. Its more of a house, than a cabin, its very nice!

We stayed for a week and could have stayed forever. The cottage is set in a perfect Wisconsin oasis filled with gorgeous trees, flowers, birds, and deer…and a peaceful river to relax by. We enjoyed seeing otter and deer frolicking in the water. The cottage is comfortable in every way with everything you need. Close enough to anything you want to do as well. We loved it!!

My wife and I wanted to get away for some quiet, relaxation. This cottage did not disappoint. It was peaceful, warm, welcoming, and enjoyable all around. We look forward to a future stay during warmer months so we can explore the grounds and spend more time outside. However, our time inside was exactly what we needed and we are thankful to have had the opportunity to enjoy this small, "peace" of Heaven.
Don't forget to head to Gary's Rude Café in Siren (about 13 minutes from the cottage) for some of the best bites in town!

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay. We were able to enjoy all 4 season within the 4 days. We got to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather and had bonfire one day, explored the land the next and then hunkered down and had a fun board game day while watching movies from the movie collection.

The Cozy Lil Cottage was such a nice place to stay. There were deer on the property right by the cottage that were fun to watch. We traveled in from out of state and the property owner kept us apprised of weather conditions throughout our stay. Great place for a get away.

lovely property! The cabin was cute, kitchen and bathroom well stocked with necessities. The host made check in and checkout very easy, and kindly let us know about winter weather road conditions in the area. When we headed out to explore the beautiful grounds around the cabin, she offered us some much needed snowshoes to borrow! Very kind and accomodating.

We wanted a relaxing, cozy weekend away to sit by a fireplace and spend some quality time together. This property gave us exactly that! Such a cute and clean little cottage that was perfect for the two of us. We spent most of our time inside but would love to go back and explore the grounds more another time/season!

This review is about the home owner, my stay was cut short, the owner stepped in and made the process extremely pleasant!! Highly recommend

The property is immaculately clean, and so cute and cozy! They have provided so so many thoughtful touches (extra eyeglass lens cleaners, puzzles and magazines, heated mattress pad, etc) that it felt so comforting being in the space. It’s a very easy drive into town for coffee and food, and very close to some beautiful lakes and hikes - what more can you ask for? We would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We were close to doing everything we love to do. Hiking trails, wineries, places to eat and we got to have relaxing campfires after our fun filled days!

Cottage was very clean and organized.Nice boardwalk to River. Seen a deer at apple tree upon arrival. Water was only drawback but that's because of minerals in ground. Would be nice place to stay in winter.

Stayed at Cheryl's cottage with family for a short weekend getaway and had a great time. We rented ATVs nearby in Danbury. Cottage is clean and stocked with plenty of kitchenware, bathroom supplies, and bed linens. Cheryl provides a great library of books, movies, and games. Nice patio and fire pit area. Would like to return again for a fishing trip. Close proximity to the river with a nice dock to fish off.

This home was gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. The cottage has all the basics. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Host is amazing and answers all questions promptly.

The cabin has everything you need to enjoy your stay and with many lakes to fish nearby as well as the Yellow River which is right adjacent to the property. The owner was very nice and made sure that the cabin was ready for us when we were there. The cabin is very clean. We enjoyed having a campfire and sitting in the porch drinking coffee in the morning. Our two-year-old really loved walking in the woods around the property and enjoyed the toys and books that were there for him to look through and play with. It is a perfect place also to view the Stars at night. Good places to eat around the area as well. We will definitely be back to enjoy it again maybe this time in the winter. A+

Fabulous Getaway Location
Cheryl has outdone herself with this vrbo property. The checking in was easy, and everything was as stated in the listing...but, I'd say it's better than the listing can describe.
Very impressed, and will highly consider coming back to the Lil' Cottage.
Please prepare yourself for minimal cell phone reception...we thoroughly enjoyed that part of it. There's plenty of books to read, games to play, and exploring the beautiful property and nature Cheryl place has to offer. You literally just need your clothes...everything else necessary is there.
Two thumbs up 👍 👍 and Five Star Review!!

Cheryl’s cottage provided exactly what we needed. This property is quiet, clean and very relaxing. Cheryl thought of everything to make this a home away from home. She was easy to communicate with and accommodating to what we needed. 10/10 would stay there again. We are hoping to get back in the Fall.

Wonderful Home Away from Home
The cabin is more like a small one bedroom home tucked away in beautiful pines, with all the conveniences of home, minus the hustle and bustle. It’s well insulated; stays cool on the warm days, and holds heat on the cool days. Also, with all the windows closed, it’s very quiet. Personally, I cannot sleep with much noise or sounds, but if you enjoy the sounds of the wind whispering through pines, and/or crickets and frogs chirping and croaking, there’s a beautiful lullaby to be heard with the windows open. During the day, having the windows open gives a good cross breeze throughout the cabin with the scent of pines.
The bedroom has a door with a lock, if you need some privacy. The bathroom has a nice basic shower stall, and there’s plenty of space on the vanity for all your toiletries.
All the conveniences of home: full size frig and freezer, stove, microwave, heat and AC. There are two types of heat: electric floor boards, when it really gets cold, I never used those during my stay; and a wonderful LP gas fireplace. It’s a fireplace without the mess, and has a fan to blow warm air into the cabin. With ceiling fans, the fireplace was enough to warm the whole cabin on the crisper days, and it was calming to look at.
I brought too much food, which barely filled the frig, but if you need groceries, goodies or just some time around people, Webster is less than 15 minutes away with a grocery store and wonderful and quaint restaurants and bars. I ate breakfast at Emily’s; it’s like having breakfast at friend’s place; good food and conversation.
The patio is really nice. The roof over hangs it and you can sit outside listening to the rain without getting wet. There were a couple of strong thunder storms that rolled through and I was able to stay outside until the wind picked up. There is a string of small LED lights, a table with chairs and a place to clean fish you may have caught. Don’t be scared by the skink (Northern Prairie Skink) who’s taken up residence in the south side crack of the patio. It will come out when the day warms, to sun itself.
There’s small grill to use. I brought my own charcoal and smoking chips, and grilled salmon, shrimp and brats for some of my meals. There’s a fire pit to use with comfortable benches around it. I dumped the charcoal ashes in the fire pit once I finished grilling.
Cheryl has left the cabin stocked with all of the necessities, at least everything I needed.
...and I ran out of space for my entire review...

Accommodating, cozy, and refreshing
The cottage is secluded on the owner’s property enough to make it feel like you’re in the woods alone. We went in late March when there was still a chill in the air. The fireplace in the living room made it very comfortable - super cozy. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking wear and utensils you need to cook meals. There is limited to no phone service (Verizon) so it made it easy to unplug. We enjoyed the heated bed liners and drinking coffee in the small lounge space as the sun peeked it’s way through the trees. The host has a binder full of things to do and places to eat. The only drawback was the smelly water, but it’s tolerable.
