Situated in Texas, this attractive lodge for $2,040 per night is a great choice for your next break. Blanco Valley Lodge (BVL) is a recently completed hill country vacation home, designed to provide families and groups a safe and relaxing place to be together. Comfortable accommodations, privacy, spectacular Hill Country views, an open floor plan, and a peaceful stretch of the Blanco River allow guests to gather and entertain in a stress-free way. Just one hour from Austin and San Antonio, 25 minutes west of Wimberley, and 10 minutes East of Blanco, BVL is nestled on 9 acres and is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday, holiday, or anniversary, gather the girls or the boys, or your families and friends, your co-workers or team members, and enjoy time in the hill country. The gated property includes a 6,000-square foot luxury home, 1,100 square foot guest house, and over 4,700 square feet of outdoor decking outfitted with tiki torches, hot tub, fire pit, Texas shaped pool, washer pits, and basketball goal. The main house floor plan includes 4 spacious bedrooms, a bunkhouse loft, four full bathrooms, a dining hall with two 16-foot farmhouse tables, fully-equipped kitchen, game room, large gathering spaces with three fireplaces, and numerous windows to enjoy the view and watch kiddos swim and play outside. Attached to the main house is a guest house with its own fully-equipped kitchen, living area, and two guest rooms, each with private full baths. Both houses feature big walk-ways, let in great natural light, and all the beds are made with luxury linens. The kitchen and dining spaces in the main house were designed to entertain a large group but allow for everyone to feel included and comfortable. Guests will find plenty of counter space for prepping as well as bar space for socializing as meals are brought together. All amenities were purchased in 2017 and include a commercial ice maker and fridge, 4 ovens, large island, oversized pantries, dinner, drink, and silverware for 40, multiple Keurig’s and coffee pots and numerous large serving platters. Our indoor dining space has an incredible view of the Blanco River and comfortably seats 32 adults with plenty of space for additional seating, movement, catered meals, or for presentations and demonstrations. Guests activities include walking right into the Blanco River, swimming in the pool, gathering around a movie or big sporting event, playing pool, ping pong, foosball, shuffle board, or card and board games. BVL is a great place to escape the distractions of daily routine and focus on your family, enjoy time with your friends, or collaborate and commit to a mission or goal for your particular group or small business.

We enjoyed our stay at The Blanco Valley Lodge. From the beginning of the booking process through our checkout, everything was seamless. Laura was always responsive and went the extra mile to answer our requests, she also checked on us via text during our stay to see if we needed anything. The property is fantastic and they have thought of everything you might need. There is room to spread out and something for everyone. We highly recommend this property for your next getaway.

We had a wonderful stay here for our daughter's wedding that was held at nearby Camp Lucy. This property backs onto the river with wonderful outdoor seating, eating and recreation.The large kitchen and game room were perfect for hosting our large family. Unfortunately, one of the freezers was broken. The owner sent someone over immediately and then when it couldn't be fixed, offered to replace it the next day! Unfortunately, the dryer was also broken but we didn't need it until the end of our stay. Possibly need a little more attention to appliances before a large group comes to stay but otherwise we had a wonderful time.

This property is hands-down the BEST place for a large group. We had six families during our visit. The main house is so spacious, it felt like we were at a private resort. The pool and hot tub are exquisite. The deer arrive at dinnertime each night on cue. The playground was a hit. The gameroom and bunk room were the perfect place for the kids to relax and get away from the parents. The kitchen is equipped to feed an army. And the ice machine is just the icing on the cake. We had so much fun, I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thank you!!!!

We held a large family reunion at the property. The house/guest house combo was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Lack of water in the river made us so happy we had a place with a great pool. Kitchen and eating area are definitely highlights. Plenty of space for up to 30 people to relax and take in the Texas hill country. Communication from the owner was timely and helpful throughout. Would definitely come back here.

Blanco Valley Lodge was the perfect location and set up for our family reunion! It had an ideal layout of bedrooms/beds/baths to host several families and offered enough privacy and space for the weekend. The beds/linens are high quality, and we found the entire home thoughtfully decorated and stocked with what we needed. The property is private, yet conveniently located in the middle of several towns to get out for some local adventures. We found it is easy to communicate with the property owner to answer any questions. We will definitely find a reason to come back!

We had a group of 5 families stay at Blanco Valley Lodge for a summer-time long weekend. The house is huge and in great shape. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms as well as ample kitchen and dining space and lots of fun things to do (swim, shuffleboard, pool table, ping pong). The only downside was that the river was dry (as of June 2023), but it’s still a lovely spot with pretty views. I would also note that the swimming pool is fairly deep (I would estimate it’s at least 4 feet deep at the shallow end, and most of the pool is 5-7 feet deep, so might not be ideal for smaller children/people who aren’t strong swimmers.) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Please take pictures of the home upon arrival and check out. We were accused of damage to the pool and charged an extra pet fee two weeks after check out, aside the pet fee already paid stating the birds left a mess. Laura verbally agreed to the additional birds. Laura never mentioned an issue with the birds at the time of check out. She did reach out to me via text to advise there was rust stains at the bottom of the pool and asked if we knew. However, no mention of issues with the birds at the time of check out and or the two weeks following check out.
No pictures were provided by Laura of the mess she stated her cleaning lady advised her of. False statement, not enough characters in this review to provide the full story. Caught Laura lying (all on email) as to the cleaning lady not knowing there was birds in the home and called her and stated there was bird poop and feathers everywhere. The cleaning lady was present when I was checking out and loading my two birds in the vehicle. 5 people present that can attest to that and the fact that no mess was left behind as stated. Her response, call my husband to further discuss your birds.
If this was an issue it should have been addressed at the time she text with regard to the pool.
Please be aware there are scorpions in the home, we killed 3 and the jacuzzi had ants. When addressed I was dismissed and advised it was our fault as we left the hot tub lid open and no one ever complained of scorpions.

Celebrated my 30th birthday here with some friends and we had an amazing time. The beds were very comfortable, the amenities were great and overall everything was lovely. The pictures do not do this place justice. The property is immaculate, and the views are amazing. Perfect retreat for large groups. Kitchen and dining have everything imaginable for entertaining. High quality bedding, pillows, and blankets in the sleeping areas. Pool, hot tub, indoor and outdoor games. Fire pits. They have thought of everything for your large group. Amazing. Great communication from the owners, as well. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My family quit exchanging Christmas gifts years ago, opting instead to go somewhere together and make memories. We rented The Blanco Family Lodge and we couldn’t have been more pleased. There were 20 of us and the house was large enough we didn’t get underfoot of the others. The kitchen was amazing and had two of every appliance. All 20 of us could sit at one of the tables in the dining room. The home had a wonderful game room which helped to keep us entertained. We played games, had some great meals and made more memories. Thanks BFL for everything!

Property and location was perfect for my son's wedding and family gathering for it. The house was like an Oasis and was happy to share the experience with my family. There were a few pots and pans that needed updating, but overall, kitchen was well stocked for a large size family gathering. Owners were awesome to deal with and very accommodating. If we raised an issue (i.e. broken coffee machine), they responded expeditiously so as not to burden the family. Wish it was warmer for us to enjoy the pool, but there were plenty of other things to do for the whole family regardless (gameroom, hot tub, etc.). Bedsheets were one of the most soft and comfortable that I've ever slept in. They did not skimp on what's important.....a good night's rest while on vacation. Highly recommend renting this Oasis!!

First of all the pictures do not do the property justice. The view alone was worth the trip. The actual lodge was comfortable, spacious, and very cool feeling. One thing to note - don't worry about ice! The Ice machine is always running and we never ran out even with constant refills and filling up the cooler twice.
Our host, Laura, could not have been more friendly and accommodating even being available for quick texts throughout our stay.
Just an overall lovely experience and if you are in need of a place for a Corporate retreat or event please look into this property for your stay. Our team had everything it needed to conduct large group meetings, presentations and bond. Great week all-around.

Had a long needed family reunion and early celebration for my mother’s 84th birthday. Rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. Game room and pool kept everyone entertained, spent morning and evenings watching deer feed near while drinking coffee. Event room was excellent with plenty of room for everyone. Extremely happy we chose this property.

This is a fantastic house. Very well equipped in every way, and very clean. The young adults especially enjoyed the game room. We went exploring every day. Grocery shopping is not real easy so go prepared. We especially enjoyed the deer in the back yard and hiking down around the river.

This property is amazing. The only drawback was the River which was in no way a reflection of the ownership or management but rather the drought that is plaguing us right now. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. We have a large family and this year was the first time we have ever been able to eat in the same room. Will definitely consider this as an option for years to come!!!

Great for large groups
Beautiful piece of property! The main house has a large kitchen with everything you might need. The double refrigerator and double dishwasher combo works great for entertaining large groups. It also has plenty of dining and seating in the dinning area which is perfectly placed next to the outdoor dinning that overlooks the pool area. River access was nice, unfortunately for us the river was very low. Property owner was very nice, and texted multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay.

The house accommodated us beautifully. The open floor plan with windows all across the back makes you feel you’re always part of the group whether you’re inside or outside. There was always a quiet spot one could slip off to if needed. We are a foodie family and the kitchen was perfect! The two ovens and two refrigerators were awesome, as well as all the pots, pans and baking sheets. This was the first home we’ve rented where the dining room was large enough to comfortably seat us all at the same time. The game room was rarely unused – by young and older alike. I could continue itemizing how wonderful this property is but I’m not sure where I’d stop. The only thing anyone commented on was that the WiFi was a little slow (which we expected) but we weren’t there to be on our devices so it wasn’t a problem.
From the moment I contacted Laura Pierce about renting the property all the way through our check-out, she was immediately responsive. She gave us lots of information and suggestions for our stay and was very concerned that we had everything we needed.

This VRBO is beautiful. Roomy is an understatement! The property is so beautiful, decorated beautifully. Kitchen was beyond my expectations! Two stoves two dish washers industrial fridge. The pool was perfect! Beds comfy! A very positive visit for our family. Kids loved the game room, fire pit was amazing as well. I could go on and on. Owner was responsive and very helpful and informative.

Beautiful Property with poor management and hidden issues
The property is beautiful and clean. However, there are
a few major issues that you need to be aware of before booking the place. Here is my own experience that I like to share.
1. The owner/manager of the property is terrible at communication. If you send a message, most likely you don't receive any reply within 24 hours, then when you send a few reminders, you eventually receive a reply with the answer to half of your questions and refer to their website which does not work. Phone calls and text messages, you may get a reply or not, you never know.
2. The property is advertised to have enough sleeping space for 30 people. Do not count on that for 30 adults. Some of the beds advertised as twin/single beds are actually day-bed or sofas that can barely fit a child. It would probably fit up to 20 adults.
3. The wifi is not usable. It is super slow and the coverage area is very limited. It won't work for any type of online meeting or video call or anything else. Cell services are also not that good in that area. So don't count on using your cell phone data either. Think about it as if you went camping :D
4. The owner/manager will send you a mandatory contract and waivers for each guest to sign a day before you suppose to get the code to the property. If you don't agree with any part of that contract and don't sign the contract, you won't receive the gate code and if you like to cancel your reservation, you can but there is no refund because you are out of the refund period (Sneaky). I don't think it is legal but anyway.
5. In that contract, if you signed, there is a security deposit and the owner/manager would charge your card in a file in case of any damage. This is all understandable, however, there is no insurance option for you and if there is any damage, the owner/manager would charge you as much as she likes. My personal experience is quite unfair.
All and all, the property is beautiful and we had a good time there but I won't go back there for sure. Had I known these issues, I wouldn't book it in the first place.
