Enjoy your morning coffee on the front deck or sunroom while watching the sunrise. And end your day with a glass of wine while watching the sunset over the sound on the back deck or sunroom. Impeccably maintained and well equipped, our beach home offers beautiful decor and wood laminate floors throughout. With multiple living areas and comfortable furnishings, you will find our home incredibly relaxing and homey. Enjoy the hot tub for the ultimate relaxation! Bring your bikes or rent them locally and take advantage of the 10 mile bike path in South Nags Head. For those rainy days or the evenings, we have you covered with an expansive movie library, variety of books, fun games and flat screen TVs with Roku remotes and DVD players located in EVERY room. You won't want to leave, but if you do, we are only a few miles away from restaurants, ice cream, shopping, fishing piers, and mini golf. Visit the Bodie Island Lighthouse or Oregon Inlet just around the corner, and explore historical Manteo only a 15 minute drive away. Loved that it was fully equipped with kitchen utensils (although, wanted oyster knives) and it was very comfortable.

The place was super clean, well stocked kitchen, great views!! We stayed during a tropical storm and still thought the place was fabulous. Will definitely go again!!!

Great spaces for family of 8 to be together. Well equipped except for bath and kitchen towels. Plenty of beach towels, chairs and toys. Beds and furniture very comfortable. Nice views of ocean and sound. Long walk to beach but great to have the beach wagon.

I can’t say enough great things about this property ! Very close to the beach and the equipment they provide to transport chairs,umbrellas, and a cooler was a game changer for me and my family!! Would recommend to anyone!

Overall the house was in great condition, seems recently stylized, fresh, clean and current. The house was just the right size for 8 of us. Loved the front and back decks which got used every day depending on the breeze. Lots of different places to relax. Short walk to beach.

We had a wonderful stay at the salty Wahoo! The beach was super close and there was plenty of beach chairs and a wagon for us to transport everything there easily even with 4 kids in toe. Lovely to be able to see sunrise and sunset from the house and have multiple places to sit to get shade and sun. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed and more. We are already talking about returning next year!

We had a great time here. The place was nice and was clean. It was a short walk to the beach . The thing we liked most was the beach location . The beach , since it is farther down away from things , was nice and quiet . There were other people there but not too crowded . The hosts were great they left us a nice welcome beach bucket filled with all kinds of things. That was a nice welcome surprise. The house is well stocked with everything you could need and they also let us use there handy beach wagon. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely beach home. Plenty of space for all. Comfy beds, clean rooms, kitchen had everything we needed. Short walk to beach. Short drive to many attractions. We had children of varying ages and there were books, games, puzzles etc for each age group. Hot tub was perfect ending to each day. Really enjoyed our stay.

We had everything we needed (except we couldn’t find an ice cream scoop) ha ha. Really it was a perfect week and the house was beautiful. We had a little trouble unlocking the door and gave a call to the host who was very helpful and took care of the issue in just a few seconds. We definitely will come again.

Sun and Fun at The Salty Wahoo
We had a great time on our family vacation! This was our first time in the Outer Banks and it did not disappoint. Weather was awesome! A peaceful and quiet location. Just a short walk to the beach and a close drive to restaurants, activities and sightseeing, etc. The house was roomy and had lots of amenities!! Good communication with the owners and an early check-in was definitely a plus! And a welcome gift too! What a wonderful time had by all! Thank you Tommy and Danielle!!

Did not really feel that the water was safe to go into because of the big drops. The beach was relatively nice, and the path to get there was easy to find. However they were some sand hills to climb and it was very close to a house that looked condemned.. was not easy for everyone in our party.

Oasis in OBX
We had a wonderful family trip at this beautiful home! The house is very well kept and the kitchen is incredibly well stocked with good pots, pans, etc. everything is labeled and very well organized! The house is super convenient to the beach and a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants. We will definitely be back! Thanks to Tommy and Danielle for being such gracious hosts!!

We found a sweet welcome basket with some useful and appreciated items for our stay, along with a handwritten note. All of these things started our vacation off on the right foot! The beach is literally a three-minute walk (for adults); took us five minutes to walk with 4- and 7-year-old kids. Owners allowed use of their beach cart and umbrella, which definitely enhanced our beach experience (other items were available, but we used our own chairs and toys). Water views all around. We would love to rent Salty Wahoo again!

Tommy was so easy to deal with from beginning to end. The property was very clean upon arrival and we were greeted with a lovely welcome gift and note which was very thoughtful. The deck view was amazing and the location was close enough to dining and attractions but far enough away from everything to enjoy the peace and quiet of Nags and truly enjoy our vacation. The accommodations were just as described and fit our needs perfectly. Being in South Nags we were able to enjoy a little less crowded beach as well. Our stay at Salty Wahoo certainly helped make our family beach week successful!!

Immediately impressed by the cleanliness upon entering and setting up. The main living area - kitchen layout was perfect for a family of 6 adults and 4 kids from ages 2 to 65. The location is close to everything yet in a very quiet serene neighborhood complete with lovely views of both sunrise and sunset. Our only criticism is that the bathrooms, while overall very clean and functional, could use some updating. Also, the one bedroom has a full bed instead of a queen bed, due to the size of the room but that was known from the information about the unit all along. Overall though, a wonderful experience and left us wanting to stay longer.

This was our first time visiting the Outer Banks. We loved the location of this home . Sunsets from the balcony were spectacular. The kitchen was fully stocked with high end pots and pans and everything you could possibly need. We highly recommend this property and would rent again.

Loved our first trip to the Outer Banks
House was exactly as advertised. Owners were great - even left us an Easter basket since we arrived day before Easter. Beach access was great - not very crowded since early in the year. Loved mornings on the back deck with my coffee watching the ocean. Would definitely stay again!!

It was in a quiet and safe neighborhood, so we felt relaxed even when our kids played outside; yet it was only a short drive to many good restaurants, shops, and attractions. We were a group of 3 families with kids and found the house very spacious with many rooms and decks to enjoy our own activities. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The bed linens and towels were freshly laundered and soft. There was a welcome handbook which had good info of the Outer Banks. We loved the hot tub in the spring weather. There was a little wooden bridge in front of the house that we walked over every time we went to the beach. Our kids loved standing over it and looked for fish and turtles. Each morning, we strolled to the beach which was very close, pristine, and peaceful. From the house the sunrise and sunset were gorgeous, and stargazing was amazing. Communication with Tommy and Danielle was easy and they were very responsive. It was a perfect spring break and everyone had a lot of fun!

Large, clean, well-appointed with plenty of room to spread out. Ease of access to beach, Nags Head, and other sites, stores, restaurants. The owners were easy to communicate and do business with, and the property listing was as advertised. Would stay here again.
