PROVIDENCE is a vacation paradise located on a lush two acre estate on tropical CAPTIVA ISLAND Florida. Located on Wulfert Channel, a short walk along a sandy path to quiet, private beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. Providence offers unlimited opportunities to enjoy the sun, the sand and the water! PROVIDENCE is a newly constructed 4 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom luxury house. Warm tile floors, quartz kitchen counter tops, elegant kitchen, new furniture, and floor to ceiling windows contribute to a warm, inviting Beach Chic look. PROVIDENCE is a multi-functional home that sleeps 8, welcomes families looking for time together, couples seeking respite from their responsibilities, fishermen, golfers, anyone seeking time to unwind, sun to soak in, water to refresh and a beautiful tropical island experience to remember. PROVIDENCE provides living space that combine utility and utopia. The FAMILY ROOM is a large comfortable, peaceful place to read, watch the 65" FLAT SCREEN TV, visit, snooze or just sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the the natural beauty of the island property or the private pool and spa below. The MASTER BEDROOM has a king bed, a large closet, and a luxurious large bathroom with a soaking tub, double sinks and shower. The East BEDROOM has a queen bed as well as a private balcony overlooking the property, and a private bathroom. The West BEDROOM has two twin beds with a bathroom with tub and shower just outside the bedroom. The Fourth BEDROOM has a King bed with a bathroom just outside the bedroom. PROVIDENCE has a large SCREENED LANAI. Located off the main living level connected to the kitchen, family room and Master Bedroom. The screened lanai is furnished with a dining table for 8 and a sectional couch. The lanai overlooks the private pool and hot tub below as well as the lush grounds. Below the lanai is a large shaded area with chaises to enjoy the pool and hot tub while staying out of the sun. There is a LARGE SUN DECK surrounding the OUTDOOR HEATED POOL and HOT TUB to relax and take in the warm sun. We have 6 bicycles (we do not supply helmets) and 3 kayaks (we supply life jackets) for your use. We also supply 8 beach chairs as well as 8 chaises for lounging around the heated pool and hot tub. We just returned home after spending a week in Providence on Captiva! Our family, including our daughter, her husband and two little boys, spent Christmas week there. Michael decorated a Christmas tree for us as well as filled the property with festive lights, making it feel like home! He was an amazing host, always making sure we were comfortable. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. We lived mostly on the beautiful screened porch and the outdoor pool area. The property is ideally located between the Gulf and the bay. It’s an easy short walk to the beach for the sunsets. We spent a lot of time fishing off the back dock. It truly is a wildlife paradise, with eagles nests on both sides, dolphin swimming by the dock and flocks of pelican resting on the sandbar! We had the most wonderful week and appreciate everything Michael did to make our stay a memorable one! We highly recommend this beautiful piece of paradise!

The house is even better in person. Tons of room, big spaces and the pool is great. It was just my husband and I for our anniversary week looking for a peaceful time. Captiva/Sanibel is great for a seashelling or birding enthusiast. Tons of seashells at Turners Beach and Blind Pass Beach. Tons of different birds at the house and the beach and so close up. A bald eagle nest is literally next door and we were treated to the call of the chuck-wills-widow every night. Hosts are extremely accommodating and kind. Overall, I would highly recommend this property for your next Captiva visit.

Providence is even better than the pictures. Michael and Mary have created a perfect vacation environment. The house is beautiful and much larger than we expected. I jokingly said to Michael that normally, our experience has been that vacation home photos on VRBO are taken with a fisheye lens and make a vacation home seem expansive and perfectly maintained, but then when you get to the location, the reality is normally a let down. That was not the case at all with Providence......
We were amazed Providence was much larger and more impressive than what we had assumed from the pictures and reviews.
Fantastic location....it has everything. Beach, privacy, wildlife all around, beautiful pool table/pool/hot tub. We used the bikes to ride into the village, the dock offers some amazing fishing. We had great luck fishing from the beach as well. Great shelling near Turner Beach (get off the beach and just step into the water a little ways...you'll find more shells/conchs than you could imagine ;) ).
Michael and Mary are wonderful hosts....our teenage kids even commented about how welcoming and nice they were to them;). They have put a lot of work into making Providence a beautiful experience. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Providence holds a special place in our family's hearts. This was our second time here (spring break 2022 and 2023) and we were yet again so happy to be here! The island itself is still recovering from the hurricane, but everything that Michael and Mary have done to repair and rebuild makes a stay here more than worth it. The house is immaculate, just as it was in 2022 if not better, the private pool and hot tub are wonderful, the short walk to the beach is just as it was before. And that's what we come to Captiva for - time to relax as a family and be outside on the beautiful white sand beach.
Michael was very upfront with us about their landscaping being in the restoration process. The house itself is immaculate. We did not venture out much besides the beach (we picked up groceries in Fort Myers for the week), but Michael had a thoroughly researched list of several places and restaurants that we could have gone out to had we desired. The wildlife refuge was reopening the week after we stayed, and it seems other places are reopening too.

We had a wonderful visit to Captiva Providence. The house is fully appointed with high quality versions of everything you need. It is incredibly clean/maintained and the location is great with a very short walk to the beach. Communication with the owner/property manager was fast and easy. An unexpected bonus was an Eagles’ nest on property creating lots of entertainment for the family. There is a lot of damage in the area but it was great to see how good of a condition this property was in and to see how things are progressing throughout Captiva every day.

This house is absolutely stunning! Loved the beautifully landscaped yard that the screened in porch overlooked. Short, easy walk to the beach with owner provided chairs and umbrellas. These were very appreciated. We enjoyed all the house and surrounding area had to offer. My only negative comment is regarding the worn beds in the downstairs bedroom and the twin bed room. They squeaked something awful and we were surprised this would be the case in such a well appointed home. Besides a few of the beds, the home is lovely and provided a week's worth of quality family time. High recommend!

Wow, what a fantastic home and location! Sanibel and Captiva are beautiful places and being able to stay at your home made it wonderful. We very much enjoyed your well appointed home, the pool and spa and the beach is just steps away. I didn’t want to leave and we will be back !

This house is exactly as advertised. Beautiful setting, quick walk to the beach and great floor plan for families. The main level was perfect for myself, my husband and our three kids and the lower level was great for my in laws. The safety features around the pool gave us piece of mind with our kids and the pool and beach toys were just what we needed. We were able to quickly pack the beach cart with umbrellas, chairs, beach toys and life jackets and have a great day at the beach.
Michael was a wonderful host and very respectful of our privacy. He and his wife were also so kind as to walk to the beach with us and take pictures of our whole family. We now have these memories to cherish forever.
We would absolutely come back!

The house was very nice! Loved the beauty and privacy of the landscaped yard and driveway. House was well stocked with essentials and very clean. We couldn’t have had a better experience for us, our adult children, and our grandbaby. Our favorite aspects were the pool, the lanai, and the short walk to the beach :) Owner was very accommodating and responsive.

We felt genuinely welcomed by our gracious hosts! The space was clean and perfect for our group of 6. We enjoyed the pool, dock and beach - and there was nothing that we needed that was not available. Truly a perfect visit - We plan on going back!

The property was clean and well maintained. The dock with kayaks in the back and private beach access in the front was so convenient. We'll definitely consider coming back in the future. The owners are available but not intrusive.

This was a perfect house for our family vacation with several spacious sitting areas. The floor plan facilitated both group gatherings and quiet spaces. A personal favorite was a large screened porch overlooking the pool. The porch had space enough for an ample dining table and a comfortable sitting area. After a couple of coolish nights to start our trip, we dined each evening on the porch. The beach was a short walk. The shelling was terrific and the sunsets over the gulf were spectacular. I could go on, but suffice it to say the house (and host) met or exceeded our expectations in every way.

We stayed at Providence with my daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. We had a wonderful time. The place was very clean and we were close to the ocean. The kids had a great time swimming everyday in both the pool and the ocean. Mike and Mary are wonderful hosts. They are always there to help you.

Many positives in our stay - the pool and hot tub are lovely and were heated well so we could really enjoy even on cooler days. Nicely set up and appointed kitchen, very clean house, great screened porch with comfy seating and an eating area. Pool table in the basement was great. Beach is right across the road and walk between two houses. Owner provided a nice welcome package with some goodies for us. The beach cart, umbrellas and chairs were perfect. A few minor negatives: the main areas of the house are rather dark during daylight hours - the one bedroom in the basement is dark (one small window). The house has nice furniture for sitting - lacks accessory pieces in bedrooms (like a table or dresser) other than bedside tables. No artwork on any walls with two very small exceptions in the basement made the house seem sort of bare and unfinished.

Beautiful property and met all of our expectations. Enough built in activities with dock, pool and gulf access to meet our diverse age groups. Michael and Mary were very kind and answered all questions quickly.

Great property and owners. House is well appointed and we appreciated the pool precautions. The lanai is a nice covered outdoor area. Great restaurants within a short distance. Owners provided excellent house instructions and recommendations regarding the area. It's a quick walk to the beach and bring helmets to use for biking. I would love to visit again in the future.

This house was perfect for our multi-generational family! The house was spotless and well designed. Everyone had room to gather and then spread out when needed. The space, the pool, the kayaks, the easy path to the beach and the very friendly, responsive owners made our week really fun.

We had the best time staying at Michael and Mary's beautiful home. When we arrived, the house was in perfect order and everything was clean and ready for us. The description online matched the layout of the property. We stayed with our two young children (ages 2 and 6 mo.) and had grandparents that came with us. Any questions I had, Michael was very communicative and answered me right away. We didn't end up having the time to go out with them on their boat, but perhaps we we can do that next time! The week went by too quickly! Overall, we had the best time.

We just returned from a week long family vacation at Providence and everyone absolutely loved it! Michael and Mary are wonderful hosts - super responsive and helpful with recommendations and they even remembered that my daughter was celebrating a birthday during our stay and welcomed her with a birthday balloon. The house is really beautiful and conveniently located with a short walk to the beach and the inlet, and a short drive to Captiva village or Sanibel restaurants and shops. The house is fully equipped with pool toys, beach chairs, bikes, kayaks and fishing poles. We loved kayaking in the inlet and fishing off the dock, as well as at the beach a few afternoons during our stay. We highly recommend this property and hope to visit again one day soon!

This beautiful property has everything! We rode bikes, kayaked, relaxed at the beach (with chairs and umbrellas), and really enjoyed the pool! Michael and Mary were a pleasure, they definitely go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect for your stay. The house is bright and airy and the very large screened porch was the perfect place for coffee in the morning and evenings relaxing together.
I can’t think of a single negative thing about our stay. I hope we get the chance to return.

We loved our stay at Providence… four adults, teenage son, tween daughter and two year old daughter. Tons of space. Everything you need. Perfect downstairs game area for kids! Close to the beach and kayaking on Blind Pass. Walking distance to grocery and restaurants. Equidistant from Sanibel fun and quaint Captiva. It was our first time visiting the area. We will definitely be back. Homeowners were fabulous!

This property was amazing and accurately depicted in the description! The owner was super responsive and helpful in terms of recommendations in the area, too. The house had everything we needed and was a great location. We loved the private beach access and pool on the property. The beds were also very comfortable. Everything about the property was wonderful. We would highly recommend!
