Large home that could accommodate 3 families including 4 young children with 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Living, kitchen, dining and lanai areas were very spacious for everyone. Walking distance to common pool area where kids enjoyed playing in mostly shallow water. Very quiet area and complex immediately next to grocery. Had access to private beach less than a couple miles away with great snorkeling for beginners.

Great place for our group of 7 including 3 kids. Location is convenient, the house has plenty of space, and there are boogie boards, beach chairs, and snorkeling gear in the garage. Grocery store is just next store and the pool is small but clean and well taken care of. Would definitely stay here again.

The house is big enough to accommodate 6 adults and a toddler. My son loved the open space and enjoyed climbing up and down the stairs. Though he sustained a few bruises from the stone stair case. Lol We absolutely Loved the property and all of the amenities. Definitely will be coming back to this house!

We have been coming to Mauna Lani resort complex for the past 20 years. As always, we loved it even with Covid. We had never stayed at the Villages, but remember when they were being built. Did not realize how large these units were, which was perfect for our needs and then some. The lanai is huge and has table and chairs to accommodate six+ adults on the main portion, plus another couple of chairs and table on another section. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable as my wife will attest to as past rentals the mattresses are worn out. Very quiet neighborhood right next to the shops so you have access to a small grocery and of Tommy Bahamas restaurant. We utilized the pool/hot tub on windy days instead of going to the beach club which worked out nice. Unfortunately, Mauna Lani has been FOUND, which made the beach club and adjoining ocean cove very busy.

Family vacation
This was the perfect place to enjoy our family (7 of us) vacation! It made us feel ‘at home’. The house is spacious and very tastefully decorated. We appreciated the well supplied kitchen, plenty of bedding and towels and the all of the beach toys. We thoroughly enjoyed the huge lanai as well. The neighborhood is very quiet, the community pool was fun for everyone, and the private beach club was a huge hit. We would definitely come back!

Pictures do not so this home justice. So spacious and beautiful! All cooking gadgets you might need. Lots of pans and dishes. Enough towels bedding etc. all was great. Only and minor issue is that we wish they had better beach equipment. Umbrellas were bending and we were only able to use 2 out of the 4 beach chairs. I’ve stayed at numerous homes and the beach gear has always been the best. Only minor issue but important. We ended up purchasing 2 tommy bahama at the Island Gourmet market at the Queens shops for $40 each and a couple other beach items. Highlight of vacation I have go say is Kona Vacations! They manage property amazingly. They helped from empty propane tanks to broken vacuum. Yes!! I vacuum when I’m vacation…..we were there for 22 days! :) When I called they brought an extra one over. I will lookout for properties with their management I was surprised and pleased with their customer service. Truly are kind and responsive. Hope you enjoy like we did!!!

The rooms are large, the condos feel solidly built and insulated, which is helpful both in keeping it cool, as well as quiet. This particular layout is especially nice, with the open living area on the second floor. Bedrooms and bathrooms are large, and the two queens in one room is appreciated. The unit is well equipped, with toiletries, detergents, cookware, basic spices, a couple boogie boards even. The grill works. Beds and linens are comfortable. There's a large table on the lanai. The unit was clean. There's interesting art. Kona Coast, the property manager, is great with communication: clear emails ahead of time with entry details. There was a minor maintenance issue that I called about. My call was immediately answered by a person on a Saturday morning, and a maintenance person came the next day. We had a wonderful vacation, as we always do, and really appreciated the comfort of this rental.

The property is in need of a refresh. Kitchen was stocked well for instance only 4 old wine glasses. Cleanliness was average and the furnishings need updating.

A beautiful home in paradise
Our entire family loved this condo. There were eight of us including a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old. The kitchen was very well stocked. Linens were in very good shape. The condo was immaculate. A short distance to The Mauna Lani Beach club. We loved having the pass to the beach club. Nice beach wonderful snorkeling and the food and cocktails are wonderful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Amazing Space!
We stayed at this lovely home for 10 nights in February 2020 with myself, my husband, our two kids (age 4 & 6) and my parents. The space in this home was perfect for our party. We loved the two master bedrooms with comfortable King beds, massive en-suites and huge closets. The kids room was perfect with two queen beds, big closet and their own bathroom. We loved the covered lanai where we ate every meal and large open kitchen and living space.
The unit was very clean, close to the small grocery store and short walk to the common pool.
The only small suggestion for improvement we would make is to have a few more hand towels for each bathroom, have 8 large beach towels (there were 4 large ones and 3 small) and perhaps look into an updated bbq (it functioned but was difficult to adjust the temperature).
We would highly recommend this location.

This property exceeded our expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice. Beautiful spacious home, comfortable beds, and very clean. We have stayed at a number of properties on all the islands and this is our favourite.

Great Vacation Home
This is a very nice sized house with plenty of room to spread out. It is nicely decorated and very comfortable. A 5 minute drive to a relaxing private beach where you can get a pina colada to sip on the sand! Also, an easy walk to a center with a nice grocery store and good restaurants.

Amazing!!
This property was absolutely beautiful! Perfect for families traveling together. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was perfect. It felt like we each had our own hotel room with the kitchen and living room as a lovely gathering place with an amazing view! We were sad the pool was closed but walked over to see what it would have been and it looks like a great spot to lounge. The fitness center had some great equipment although it was pretty tight if you didn’t want to use machines. The shopping center next door has some great restaurants and the beach club restaurant was probably one of the best we ate at on the island.

Great condo to explore the big island!
CHECK-IN
Kona Coast Vacations was excellent in providing directions on how to get to the property from the airport and how to get into the property. The condo was very clean upon arrival.
PROPERTY CONDITION:
The beds were all very comfortable. All of the appliances worked. The thermostats were locked so you could not put the temperature below 74 degrees. The breaker to the outside fridge was taped down so the fridge would not operate. They had all the kitchen utensils that you would need. BBQ on the deck worked well (igniter was not working, but they had a manual lighter there for you to light it). There was lots of toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwasher and kitchen soap provided. There were some spices as well. No cooking oils or any other perishable items. The coffee pot was a standard 12 cup maker with a reusable filter. No single serve coffee maker.
The internet in the condo was quite good. It was a bit congested first thing in the morning and in the evening (when I'm sure other people in the complex were using it), but overall it was better than what I've experienced in other rentals.
The handheld vacuum did not work (battery would not charge). The main vacuum did not work well (at the end of its lifespan!). It would overheat after using it for 5 minutes and would shut off.
AMENITIES:
The condo pool was great for the kids. It had a nice fitness center. The complex is very close to a small grocery store and a few restaurants. It would not be an easy walk to the beach club -- it is about a 5 minute drive. The private beach club was great.
The condo provided a beach umbrella, beach cooler, two small boogie boards (for kids under 6), 2 beach mats. There was some snorkel gear (some of it was in need of repair/replacement). There were no beach chairs (Tommy Bahama style that are common in most vacation rentals in Hawaii).
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:
We did encounter quite a few pests in the condo. We found three cockroaches during the day (one in the upstairs bedroom closet, one in the laundry room, and one in the living room area). There was also a small ant infestation around the kitchen sink and in the one main floor bathroom. They had a lot of ant traps/killer under the kitchen sink and in the pantry, so I suspect its a long-standing problem. There were also a few baby geckos that we found in various places in the condo that we re-located outside.

A Perfect Holiday
This property exceeded all of our expectations. It was clean, spacious, and welcoming, and the perfect fit for our family. A great location for exploring the western side of the island, with so many beaches and national parks just a short drive away. We ate all of our meals on the lanai, and the kids (7, 9, 10) enjoyed late afternoon swims in the pool almost every day. It was our first trip to the Big Island, and we leave with memories of swimming with spinner dolphins at Two-Step Beach, snorkeling with turtles at several locations, and riding the waves at Hapuna, Beach 69 and Kua Bay. The trip of a lifetime. We can't wait to come back, and will definitely try and stay at this location again.

This property was a very nice property, and met or exceeded our exceptions. The property was clean and well taken care of. If when we go back to The Big Island we will try and stay at this same property.
