Awesome place to stay with lots of country music history. We had everything we needed and the covered boat slip right out the back door was wonderful.

We loved being able to put our boat in the water next door and keep it on the water all weekend! It was a neat cabin and had everything we needed for 11 people.

We’ve stayed at the boogie shack a couple of times now and the home is outstanding. The owner was very quick to answer any questions we had. It’s really comfortable and has everything you need for a lake getaway!

A nice property whether you want to stay indoors or out. It has comfortable seating throughout, air conditioning, three tvs and plenty of space. A very nice patio as well, for sitting and dining outside. The dock is on a very quiet cove, perfect for swimming and small craft. The dock itself is a little run down, so isn’t ideal for a larger boat, but it’s functional. This was a great location to take young people who don’t mind spending nights on air mattresses and fold-out beds. The one adult got the bedroom, though did have to share a bathroom with seven other boys. Overall a fantastic stay.

Loved, loved, loved the Bogey Shack. What a perfect place to recharge our batteries. The location was absolutely amazing, the views were stunning and the house was well maintained, clean with nearly everything we needed for weekend. Can't wait to return!!!

This property was fantastic, the deck and view of the lake were amazing. The boat house worked great for my boat, I launched from Cypress Bay just around the corner and was to the boat house in about 5 minutes or less. The photographs and decor in the house were great to look at and the furniture was clean and comfortable. If I have the good fortune to make it back to the area I would definitely stay here again, highly recommended.

We were very impressed with everything. The pictures do not do it justice. It was very well stocked, clean and very comfortable. The best part was the history. Loved the pictures on the wall and I even read a great book about Merle Kilgore while there. We also loved the dock and boathouse. Great fishing.. Caught a few large catfish among other things. We cannot wait to go back!

We wish we could have stayed longer! Very cool and eclectic place. We enjoyed swimming off the dock. The deck is beautiful and has a nice electric fire pit. They provided all the roasting sticks and citronella candles. Plenty of beach towels and linens. The grill is an added bonus. We did get a call after my father and son did some shooting target practice that the neighbors were worried. We didn’t mean to cause any problems. Everything was great!

This was the perfect spot for our family of 7 adults and one toddler to come and decompress for a few days. The cabin was super clean and had all the amenities we needed. The outdoor space is fantastic. It was very nice being able to launch our boat and leave it in the covered slip overnight, making for early morning fishing so easy. We all loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. Very clean and very relaxing. Only 1 small issue was the mattress may be in need of a replacement.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful property for Memorial Day. This was the perfect relaxing getaway that we needed and we enjoyed being right on the water. The house was very clean and comfortable. We felt right at home. Our favorite part was drinking coffee out on the huge back deck and down at the dock each morning and listening to the peaceful sounds of nature. We loved looking at all of the photos and memorabilia around the house. Judy was very easy to communicate with, and the check in process was straightforward and easy. We will definitely be returning!

We had a great time at this peaceful, CLEAN rental cabin. The location gave us privacy, and we really enjoyed the back deck. If you have small children, there are swings in the backyard. Teens will enjoy fishing off the dock. In the evenings, everyone can enjoy sitting out back around the gas fire pit. There are tiki torches w/ fuel to keep bugs away and strings of Edison bulbs to give just the right amount of light. We appreciated the nostalgia of the decor; this peaceful getaway was like a step back to a simpler time. Things to know--If you want "modern," this isn't for you, but you have every convenience in terms of kitchen utensils, wifi, bluetooth speaker, tvs with roku and apple tv, gas grill and new gas firepit. This rental is FULLY STOCKED with linens, paper products, soaps/shampoos; the cabinets also have lots of spices, oil, dry goods, etc. you can use. The only thing you need to bring is your food/drinks. You will be far enough from stores that you won't want to go back out, so bring what you want with you. It is a quick trip by boat if you need to grab extra bags of ice. (There are ice trays in the freezer.) If you are bringing a boat, the dock is functional. There is one section that is still under repair, but we had plenty of space for fishing off the dock/sunning. The lights and outlets work so you can charge your boat. You can launch your boat less than .25 miles away. Yvonne was so incredibly nice to us, and we couldn't have asked for a better, more relaxing getaway. We visit KY Lake a few times a year, and we will definitely return to the Boogie Shack! Thanks for sharing your awesome getaway with us!

The dock is in serious need of repair and is not at all what is represented in the pictures. We've stayed here 3 times since 2013 and the dock has gotten worse with every stay.

Stayed during national high school bass tournament. Very close to Paris Landing Boat Launch. Easy access to Paris and Dover. Quiet safe neighborhood.

We had a great time here. The house is very comfortable and charming and the setting on the water was really relaxing. we parked our boat in the covered dock so we didn't have to snap on the boat covers at night. The outside slip needs some work but we didn't need it. We'd like to stay here again if the opportunity arises!
