Loved the location and to have the beach access right outside was the best, especially having our husky travel with us. Low Tide Pier restaurant and tiki bar was right next door. All in all had a relaxing time to unravel and enjoy our time !!!

Wonderful host! Great vacation with family. This was a quiet laid back place. Everything you need, beach, bar, snacks, and steps away from beach. I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks for a lovely stay!!!

Property overall was great. Great view, size and functionality. Initially had problems with sliding door due to being close to ocean but host was very attentive to our needs and assisted in getting it to function. Condo could have been cleaner but it did not keep us from having a great time. Will definitely consider coming here again.

As others have mentioned, the space is so much nicer in person than in the vrbo listing. We were greeted with a fresh flower arrangement and enough paper towels/TP to last for a month! The A/C ran ice cold, the showers were hot and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prep and cook several meals. The furniture in the living room was super comfy, and arranged in a way that made having conversations easy. Communication before/during/after our stay was excellent, and Dan even offered us an afternoon checkout (which enabled us to stay and enjoy takeout from a few of our fave spots). While not "on the beach" it's literally across the street and the balconies orientation provides an unobstructed view of the ocean and north end pier. We also lucked out that the Low-Tide Tiki bar re-opened just in time for Memorial Day weekend. This is a fun, low-key spot to enjoy a frosty beverage and take in the sights and sounds of the beach. One of the main reasons we stayed at Dan's was to bring our newly adopted greyhound to the beach. Turns out she loved it and the single flight of indoor/carpeted stairs made it super easy for her to navigate up/down for walkies. In addition to walks on the beach before 9am and after 5pm, the entrance to Freeman Park is less than a block away and dogs are permitted (on leash) at any time. If you are considering staying at Dan's place, I highly recommend doing so. Everyone in our group loved the clean, bright open space and would return in a heartbeat.

We absolutely love this place and they have built the beaches back up. The restaurant at the pier was closed and getting ready to open back up under new ownership. Also please do not leave your car unattended without the parking pass. I packed the car and went and took parking pass upstairs and did a quick walk through to make sure we didnt forget anything and come back and I had a $100 ticket on my car. Please make sure your other renters now how serious your parking passes are. Love this place cant wait to go back.

My husband, our pup, and I had a great experience. The view was amazing and the home was well equipped. Unfortunately, the weather was rather uncooperative with cold temperatures and high winds. We made the best of it by reading, watching TV, and taking walks with our dog. Will definitely go here again.

This was a great place for my dog and I. Had family visit the last couple of days and they were thrilled with the proximity to the beach. Dan is very easy to communicate with and responded to a concern immediately. I would definitely return!

This is a great location and it is so nice to have pet friendly options for our getaway. I also really appreciated the "extras" that were provided. Not having to pack linens, towels, etc or wondering if I remembered to pack toilet paper or paper towels was a great perk.

This was exactly what we hoped it would be, a low key relaxing location with fantastic views. We could walk out of the unit and be on the beach in less than a minute. Very pet friendly island along with the folks we met. Simple no frills location as far north on the island you can go. We enjoyed the pier tiki bar for food and drinks. Robin and Donna were very nice and made us feel like locals. Our host, Dan gave us a list of things to do, dining options as well as pet friendly places since our Labrador was with us. His unit had pretty much anything you would need for your stay. He even had wipes and sanitizer in the unit. The unit is less than a 5 minute drive to the heart of Carolina Beach and the boardwalk. We enjoyed the balcony view where you could see and listen to the ocean as well as the live music at night from the pier. Definitely recommend for folks that enjoy a more relaxed vacation. Place was a great location, spacious and perfect for the 3 of us. Parking is tight which owner is totally honest about. Loved being by the pier and listening to the live music from the deck. Smaller bedroom with bunk bed is warm- would be nice if it had a ceiling fan but we managed!

The live band that played at the Tiki Bar directly across from the condo added a wonderful vibe and feel to the area. Access to the beach and pier was just a few feet away making it easy for my family to spend the day at the beach or go for a last minute walk. The restaurants in the area were fabulous and everyone was welcoming and fun to be around. Returning for another vacation stay at this property is definitely in our plans! The owner was responsive, informative, and kind. We had everything we needed to truly enjoy a week at the beach.

We had a great week! Dan was fantastic to communicate with and take care of a couple small issues (previous guest took parking passes with them and lightning damage to a cable box). He had two passes waiting for us and communicated what happened. Very fun location with awesome views! We loved our time and can't wait to come back!
