Great location! We we there for WVSOM graduation and the weather was great. River was rushing right outside the back porch. Marty was great and very accommodating with our Bulldogs. Would definitely visit again if in that area.

Beautiful place on the Greenbrier River! This home is so comfortable and interesting, coupled with the amazing scenery, outdoor opportunities and the quaint historic town of Lewisburg and the Greenbrier Resort will provide you with a near perfect vacation! Marty is an amazing host, you could literally walk in the door and be set for the rest of your stay. I have to admit, with everything the area has going for it, my favorite thing about our stay was sitting on the porch looking out over the river!

My cousin and I went for a weekend getaway and to attend the annual Lewisberg Chocolate Festival. Everything in the house was just as described and as it looked in the photos. Actually, more beautiful in person. The views outside were, also, breathtaking. From the wildlife to the river and the vast view from the the property. It was so secluded relaxing. Marty and her best friend Tawana (she hosted us for this weekend)were so accommodating and understanding. Did not want to leave! Will definitely try to book Marty's house again if we return to Caldwell. Thanks, Marty!

Lovely Home and Owner
This is a lovely home in a private gated community. Sitting on the covered deck in the evening and watching the fire-flies over the river was a delight. The two bedrooms have memory-foam mattresses which are comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked. The owner, Marty, was very friendly and helpful. We defiantly enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful and convenient location
The property was extremely clean and well stocked. The stars and Milky Way were very visible almost every night. The hummingbirds were a joy. Our only sad thing is that we didn't get to meet Marty who seems like a very well traveled and well read lady.

We spent a week using River House as our base of operations to explore some of what southern WV has to offer. It was perfect, great little spot on a river, perfect for relaxing and reading. We often ate meals in Lewisburg and very much enjoyed driving into town and exploring.

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings
My son and I loved Marty's place. It was like a mini art museum with its beautiful artwork and special touches. I usually take some of my own pots and pans, etc., because I don't like the quality of the ones I usually find in rentals. I had too much in the car this time, so I didn't. I'm glad I didn't have them because the house has everything you might need, and it was all good quality. The place was very clean, which is important in this time of COVID-19. We had our two small dogs, who were as happy as could be. They loved their walks, especially when they saw deer. They, too, could relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. I met a few neighbors during the walks, and all were friendly. We used the house as a base for visiting Lewisburg, the Greenbrier, and doing a bike ride from Cass to Marlinton through Appalachian Sport. It was a wonderful place to be, and I would love to do it again one day. Marty was helpful and friendly and gave advice about local things. You will love this beautiful, comfortable house.

Comfortable, well-located, river-front - easy stay
Marty was very easy to communicate with. She was prompt and friendly in our emails with questions. Her home reflects her personality (or so I imagined) and has beautiful artifacts of her world travels.
This was our first time in Greenbrier county. We loved it and can not wait to come back. We rode bikes on the Greenbrier river trail (about 1 mile from the house), strolled through the galleries and shops of Lewisburg, tasted Bourbon at the distillery, had hard cider at the cidery, visited the historic Blue Sulphur Springs pavilion (under renovation), went on the bunker tour of the Greenbrier Resort and visited the caverns. We had some of the best pizza we have ever had and listened to a local band.
Marty's home provided a welcome place to rest up for the next day.

Right on the river, close to the Greenbrier River Trail head.
Visited in March, so the weather was not warm, still a great weekend get away on the river. Home is perfect for adults, lots of entertaining an interesting collections and decor. Neighborhood is convenient to Lewisburg which is the "coolest small town in the USA". Would definitely go back.
