This house is spectacular and is in an awesome location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The hosts were accommodating and home was well equipped.

We (2 couples) had such a good vacation! The house and river were wonderful! Best laid out and stocked kitchen we have ever used....it had everything! The beds and bathrooms were so functional and comfortable. Jan was responsive to the few questions we had before arriving also. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Only suggestions we had were for more specific directions on how to access the cable TV. And for TVs to be in the bedrooms also...so many people go to sleep with the TV on. Not a complaint, just a suggestion for next time!

A perfect vacation. We had 6 kids who thoroughly loved swimming in the river. We did several activities in the area and the house gave us everything we could have needed. Would love to come back.

While you can’t really kayak or do other lake-y activities with the lake lowered, the location is really excellent even without. The waterfall and river pool right in front of the house is the best around. Very picturesque and still good for swimming. House is nice, well cared for, and well stocked.

This property is amazing. The location is perfect! The house was clean and had everything you could ever imagine your would need or want during the stay. The kids loved the games and toys. The view is beautiful. Sitting on the back porch watching the river and mini waterfall rapids was so relaxing. We brought a canoe and used the kayaks, floats, and lily pad that were included with the house. My kids did not want to leave. They wish we lived there. We had so much fun and will definitely be back.

The overall experience was great! Floors were dirty and would turn feet black. We enjoyed our stay and the communication was great with the property manager.

Let me start with the host, Jan. Whenever I asked a question, Jan responded extremely quickly. And, more importantly, she always answered my questions completely without any follow-up questions being necessary. You would be amazed at how rare this is.
The property itself was wonderful. At least for us, we want a good nights sleep and the beds were very comfortable. Next, we want the place to be functional and for us this was perfect. Nice large kitchen and living room. The porch was perfect and the 2 fans provided enough of a breeze to keep the mosquitoes away while providing us enough room to socialize as well as have dinner on the porch.
Next came the amenities from the toys for our 3 yr old grandson (trucks and cars!) which were high quality as well as a great assortment of games. The kayaks and splash pad were fabulous providing hours of play. The lake side deck was perfect for relaxing in the shade while enjoying the lake and watching the play, while giving us a place to fish. Fishing was an issue as it seemed that the fish were laughing at me … jumping up out of the water near me but rarely deciding to bite!
There is a huge lawn but unfortunately we discovered fire ants in multiple locations while setting up games … my guess is it was late in the season and nobody thought they needed to do another treatment … so that is something that needs to be taken care of.
We were 6 adults and 2 children … we all greatly enjoyed our time at the Zen on the Bend.

Property was well maintained. AC did not disappoint. Location for us was a little awkward but not a inconvenience. Overall very nice property and ample space dor our group of six adults.

Winner on the River
Beautiful house and property on the river. Very clean and well decorated. All you really need to bring is swimwear. I would give it 5 stars all around, but the evening noise from the nearby mill takes a little getting used to and in the morning, the neighbors dogs like to run into the yard and give you a good bark (all bark not bite). Otherwise, highly recommended and we do plan to come back.

We stayed over thanksgiving and had a great time. We had 5 adults and 3 teenagers and felt there was plenty of space. The covered patio was fantastic for morning coffee, or evening cocktails. The living room was large, and we gathered there to watch some football. One evening we used the fire pit. We fished from the dock and caught a few. The kitchen had tons of dishes which made cooking easy. We really thought the house was decorated nicely and had a great view! I would recommend this VRBO.
