great view. couches sit too low, so no real comfortable seating, as stated in other reviews. But house has everything you need. Outdoor furniture is great for the deck. Kitchen is well appointed. Ice maker didn't work, but 4 ice cube trays and a bowl in the fridge to store your ice and nothing more is needed. I'd stay there again no question.

So we love this property for the space and view. The home is large and meets our needs in giving everyone space. But let's be honest, it's the million dollar view that brought us back. It's spectacular, and I can sit out on the deck for hours relaxing and watching the ocean. So for the most part, this place is great. There are some small tweaks that could help: master bed is very rickety and we felt could fall apart at any minute. The bed would literally bow in the middle when two people were laying on it. Upstairs TV is large, but not a smart tv. In this day and age, a smart tv is important for those that like to stream apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO etc. We had to go about it by hooking up our laptop via HDMI to watch movies we wanted to watch. The Direct TV was torture and not worth our time channel surfing. The home was built in 92 and starting to show it's age. Small updates are needed (paint peeling, paint wearing out) the home is well used and can use some refreshing. Our last issue was the upstairs couch. It literally sucks you in and is hard to get in and out of. I know, hard to imagine, but anyone with mobility issues will have a difficult time using it. If those aren't deal breakers, you will LOVE this place. We've been here in summer and fall, and both times were magical. Rockaway is a small little town, not a lot, but plenty of other towns along the way (north and south) that have plenty of shopping and restaurants.

First time we ever had a bad experience with a vacation rental. Vacasa knew the dryer didn't work but "forgot" to tell us until we already had a load of wet laundry from the washing machine. The beds and couches seriously sag. Couldn't use the garbage disposal. A cracked wine glass had just been put back on the shelf (luckily we noticed). Vacasa has a formal policy of not providing enough toilet paper or soap, and when we asked, were told we should have brought our own. Basically, contracting out management to Vacasa means that no one cares and no one is accountable.

We enjoyed the house, it was fully stocked if you planned on cooking for yourselves. Restaurants close early during the week. The deck is set up well for relaxing and taking in the views. Taking away 1 star because there were cleaning supplies left around, dirty rags in a bag, wet sheets in the washer, dishes in the dishwasher and the beds weren’t really made. Likely more an issue with the hired cleaning crew. It’s not close to the beach and we walked there and back - the hill is brutal, but doable, it’s about an hour round trip to walk it. Would highly recommend the Roostery for your coffee needs.

It was a beautiful place to stay. Couldn’t get the tv in the master bedroom to work but other than that it was ideal!

This house has a absolutely gorgeous view. It had everything you needed in it. The house is a little outdated but it didn’t effect our stay. We would definitely come back.

The house was wonderful. I hadn't been to Rock Away in 30 years or longer. Was disappointed with restaurants. Fortunately, we weren't far from several small towns that have good restaurants.

We stayed with my elderly father and twin 6 year olds and it was perfect. Beds were comfortable, there were no stairs for my dad, amazing views to enjoy from the deck ans living room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need in temrs of cooking. We will add it to our list of places to stay!

Wonderful view, comfortable sectionals; great layout. Really good location, close to Manzanita and Tillamook, but also has some really nice little businesses on the main strip. Visiting the bakery is a must!

Main bathroom door latch doesn't work, traping you inside. Also garbage needs to go to the "main" street not cul-de-sac or they drive right by.

We enjoyed our stay. 2 things that didn’t work were the deck outside lights and the under kitchen counter lights. Neither one of these affected our stay but maybe should be looked at. I agree with previous comments about the living room sofas. They sit very low and are difficult to get out of. The home was clean but could use and overall deep cleaning such as baseboards, light fixtures etc.

We really enjoyed our time at Rockaway Beach. The home is spacious, and met all our needs. Clean. Stocked kitchen, had everything we needed. The view is why you stay here! Gorgeous view of the beach and twin rocks, full deck was used daily. Very few nit pik issues; limited supply of towels in master bathroom. Had to pull towels from downstairs bath. Landscaping around home is so overgrown with weeds, it really distracted from the beauty of the home. House outside looks a bit run down and could use some TLC. Ice machine in fridge is not connected, nor were there any ice cube trays in the freezer. Rockaway Beach itself is a very small town, despite being mid August, most things were not open during the week (restaraunts, stores), which seemed weird.

Centrally located and easily accessible to several coastal towns, beaches and hiking trails. Lovely drive from Portland and Willamette Valley.

Our family was VERY excited for our Oregon coast adventure. After a long day of travel, we arrived at our Rockaway Beach rental and couldn’t actually get IN. The directions for the key codes were confusing at best but we just couldn’t get any of the locks to open. The phone numbers given on the house to contact someone for support were wrong and it took about 10 minutes of scrolling through emails and Vrbo to actually reach someone. This was our first time renting a home that is managed by a company vs an individual and we sure did miss that one on one interaction that an individual provides. The girl at the help line was very kind and helpful and we finally got into the home with a 12 digit code that we then had to remember for the duration of our stay. This was a first for us. Normally the codes are an easy 4 digit number. The home itself was nice, the view was spectacular and the neighborhood quiet. It would have been nice to sit out on the big deck to take in the sights but there was no outdoor furniture as seen in the photos. In all, the house was fine and served as a home base for us as we traveled up and down the coast but we were eager to move on to our next rental as this one in Rockaway was just meh. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The house was clean, had a beautiful panoramic view of the ocean, kitchen was well stocked. The only disappointment is up the hill and very far from the beach. While there (Monday - Thursday), we found only one restaurant that was open; most likely due to COVID circumstances. Most restaurants, however, are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

This home was absolutely lovely for our family of 5 (all adults). Spacious large bedrooms, comfy beds and a fairly well stocked kitchen… and of course, THE VIEWS were stunning! Loved sitting on the porch and watching the sun set over the ocean. We did not have any issues with the couches which many other guests mentioned- they are definitely low to the ground and not super easy to get up from if you have knee or back issues, but didn’t find they actually uncomfortable. The home could use a few updates… e.g. bathrooms are older but water pressure good, would appreciate a smart TV but we just used the HDMI cord, the fridge didn’t make ice but you can always buy that. The real Issues we had were with the complete lack of response from Vacasa for actual problems with the home. Instructions for entry described a lock box- attached to the garage. There were 3… we tried them all with the two different codes provided and still couldn’t get in. We called the Vacasa number on the side of the home, and it was disconnected. We then called the Vacasa number on the website and after sitting on hold for 20 min got through to someone who literally could not pull up my reservation for 10 min, until we figured out the “lockbox code” was actually a code for a keypad on the second front door (no help from the Vacasa rep for that either). We tried to contact Vacasa again later to notify that the washer was barely working and dryer does not spin, as well as burn marks on the couch in the lower den - but we sat on hold for so long we gave up and sent an email. That was on Tuesday and as of our Friday check out we received no response. While the issues did not hugely impact our stay, it’s very disconcerting to know that as soon as you have checked in and paid, Vacasa couldn’t care less to help remedy issues with the home.

The home was clean and well stocked. The view is stunning and never seems to get old! The central location along the coast provides easy access to restaurants, attractions, and of course the numerous parks and beaches along the coast.

This house had everything we needed for a family trip. Plenty of space, comfortable living room, well-stocked kitchen. We will definitely come back in the future.

The house is beautifully situated on the hills above Rockaway Beach. The rooms are spacious but kitchen and bathrooms could use some updating (the mold/grime in the upstairs shower is not very appealing and probably more noticeable if you are tall). The kitchen is well equipped (wine glasses were promptly delivered when we reported that there was only one). The door lock was a bit temperamental causing all of us issues on and off. Proeprty manager was super responsive.
