We had a great time at this property for a long weekend. It was very homey and the view was great!

We had a wonderful week on the lake and enjoyed our stay. Great place for a small family. We will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable with a nice view of Lake Barkley.

Carolyn is a fantastic host, who was in constant communication and helped me pull off a surprise wedding proposal while staying at the house. She knows the area and provides excellent resources to take in the best activities while staying at her rental. We would love to visit again and would be thrilled to stay here again. The property was on a great relaxing little cove of Barley lake. My favorite part was definitely laying on the chaise lounge on the back deck and listening to the leaves rustle at the end of the day. The dock itself is worn and we were a bit afraid the ladder wouldn't hold us getting in the water but it worked just fine for us to take a swim. This would be a great house to stay at if you had a boat you could take out on the lake. We were in the area to see the buffalo at the preserve which were amazing and hike. We got to see the whole heard around dinner time and some elk as well. I did not bring any hand soap which was not available in this house anywhere that we could find but there was dish soap we made it work. but other than that we brought all our food and we had some delicious meals on the back deck that we prepared on the gas grill for which the host provided propane. We were also unable to locate salt and pepper in the house so make sure to pack yours! The host had left a nice bit of sticks and brush in the fire pit for us on the first night which was much appreciated so we didn't even have to go collect our own off the shore line area. Overall a good stay. For us driving into the land between the lakes area did take 45 minutes or so, but such is the life when your driving around multiple bodies of water!

This was my family’s first trip to this lake. The weekend was great, memorable and relaxing. This home was warm and inviting. The host was supportive, replied in a timely manner any time I had a question, was respectful of our family time, and is someone I would like to work with for future trips. The view was amazing from the back porch. My parents enjoyed being able to fish off the dock first thing in the morning. This area of the lake is a great spot to kayak in as there is a small cove to the left of the property. We enjoyed seeing some of the wildlife right in the backyard!

Couldn't have asked for a better stay! My kiddos loved having their own rooms and we loved the view from ours, beds allowed us to get amazing rest each night. We walked down to enjoy the dock and view as often as possible. Which we could easily do from either the top or bottom decking areas (and inside) as well, making storms, sunsets, and even a cloudy day picturesque. Host was quick to respond whenever we reached out with questions. We will cherish the memories made here for years to come!

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house on the lake. Lovely deck, patio, and dock with great views of the lake. Plenty of room inside to spread out.

This property was perfect for us!! The owner, Carolyn, provided great communication! She and her husband even dropped everything and came to the house to fix a small issue our first morning there. Great location, quiet neighborhood, so close to a boat ramp & marina! Plenty of room for our family and our pontoon. Plenty of things for the 13 year olds to do. The home was so well equipped, that if I hadn’t forgotten a few groceries, we wouldn’t have had to even go to town. But I’m glad we did! Cadiz is such a cute little town & Hancocks is a great little family owned grocery/deli! Barkley State Park Marina was nice as well! I don’t think we met an unfriendly person our entire visit. I recommend checking out LBL and making a quick trip to Dover, TN to check out Fort Donelson. Also, be sure to wake up early to catch a sunrise from the deck. We will definitely be returning!!

Our family of 4 had a great time swimming off the dock and playing games and cards in the evening. Fantastic big dining table and ample deck furniture for outdoor seating. Nice fire pit. My husband and I had a wonderful time at the lake house. The views were beautiful and the house was very cozy, intimate and clean. The owner Carolyn left delicious cookies for us as a welcoming gift; which was extremely nice. Her house made us feel comfortable and at home. When our vacation came to a end, we were not ready to go. Thank you Carolyn for sharing your lake house.

Beautiful views, beautiful home. Owners were great, had a small electrical issue and they had it fixed within a couple hours. The home was clean and comfy and homey. Kids has so much fun jumping off the dock and kayaking on the lake.

The area/neighborhood was nice and scenic. The lake house was perfect. The pics on Vrbo don’t do it justice. Everything was clean inside and out and the dock offers great swimming and fishing. We dropped an underwater night fishing light from end of dock and the kids loved catching fish like this. We brought a boat and the launch is very close. Carolyn really does make cookies for guests and they didn’t last long (very good).there is a welcome packet that features helpful info on the area for anything ranging from groceries, restaurants to recreational and sight seeing places. Our signal with Sprint was sketchy and we couldn’t Google where to go so this packet was very helpful. We didn’t miss WiFi at all. Old school ways are good for you now and then!

Great view, good location. Property in poor condition, needs a lot of maintinance. Entrance sidewalk cracked, trip hazard. Inside, dated but functional. Rear deck tired cracked. Gas grill filthy. Fire pit unusable, standing water, mosquito breeding ground. Very steep hill down to boat dock, sidewalk broken and unusable. Very difficult to reach dock from the gouse. Dock barely usable mane partials rotted deck boards, several large holes rotted in dock. My wife could not negate the climb from the dock to the house. Would be an excellent location with a lot of maintinance.
