About this condo rental
Our very clean and comfortable guest house is situated in an historic neighborhood, full of charming 1920's and 1930's Tudor homes. The Monticello Guest House offers all the amenities of home. A full bathroom with a claw foot tub and shower, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, a kitchenette with a mini stainless steel fridge, double burner cooktop, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. Dishes, glasses, utensils and cookware are all provided. The guest house has a comfortable queen sized bed with a pillow-top mattress. Extra linens, pillows, blankets and towels are provided. Smart TV includes Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu Plus (with Eero Wifi for a strong signal). New heating and air conditioning unit ensures your comfort. You can expect a very relaxing, private stay with keyless entry. The owners are available by text if there is anything you need. We are right in the heart of the M Streets, walking distance to all the fun on Lower Greenville Ave. (cute coffee shops, great restaurants, grocery stores and nightlife). Walk the other direction and you are in the Knox Street District with upscale and boutique shopping, and more amazing restaurants and nightlife. We love great food so you will find a list of recommended restaurants and nearby attractions in the guest house. We are located just a few blocks from Central Expressway with close proximity and easy access to Downtown, Uptown, Mockingbird Station, Knox-Henderson, SMU, Northpark Mall, The Dallas Arboretum and just a few blocks from Katy Trail.

We couldn’t get in! The keypad code host gave us did not work. Stood in rain texting and calling. Host didn’t respond. Called VRBO & they contacted Host. Host sent same keypad code! Called VRBO again. Host — in main house — came out and couldn’t get in using keypad either. And didn’t have the actual keys. Had to find a hotel. VRBO gave excellent customer service.

Cleanliness was better than expected. Communications with the property owner, excellent. The bed was squeaky just sitting on it or rolling over and not all that comfortable but everything else was exceptional.

Becky’s space is clean and comfortable with all the items that made it a really enjoyable stay. The area is perfect for a morning walk and close to SMU, shopping and entertainment. I was here for work and look forward to a return to this sweet space.

Close to family we were visiting, convenient location. We enjoyed an evening on the patio but used the two chairs from indoors. Some outdoor furniture would be nice.

It was clean, and felt like a nice cozy hotel! I had lots of privacy and even enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood!

Quiet neighborhood, comfortable place. Questions answered quickly. Booked to be near the Grenada Theater for a show. Walking distance and felt perfectly safe walking home after 11 pm. Narrow driveway is mentioned in the description and it is narrow but if you have a smaller vehicle the use of the garage is a very nice convenience. Hope to stay here again in the future.

The property was clean and easily accessible but the pictures of the outside are a misrepresentation. There is not one stick of furtniture outside to sit on and enjoy the weather. There is a picture of a beautiful outside area in the listing. I feel this is deceptive advertising. Other than that the stay was fine. The bed was a little uncomfortable but okay.

Great spot! The neighborhood is really charming, and tons of restaurants, shops, etc, are just 3 blocks away. The studio is basically a converted garage, but they did a great job, and it feels modern, safe, and secure. The kitchenette is surprisingly nice, well equipped, and large considering the space. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that when stepping in the door, you were immediately standing on the light colored rug. There's no doormat or spot to take off your shoes, so when it's wet and rainy, you can't help but track in leaves and water. The rug was kind of stained and I'm sure this is why.

My Husband and I stayed here. We choose not to dignify the term, "partner". Everything was exactly as presented in the ad. Immaculately clean and well supplied. Easy, keyless entry and even a garage space, if we had needed it. Owner was available to answer questions.
We do need, though to learn how to contact VRBO Co. to ask about VRBO's business practices for our information.

We enjoyed our short stay in this converted garage guest suite. It has a lot of charm! The AC works great and the bed is comfy.

The place is everything and more than is described and shown in photos. Quiet, very clean place! Located in a beautiful quiet upscale neighborhood which is exactly what we wanted. We took several walks during our stay and I felt very safe; we saw so many families/neighbors running/walking, playing in the front yard, etc, and they were very friendly as we passed by. Multiple coffee shops and tons of food options within 0.5-1.5 miles. If you’re looking for a quaint place uptown Dallas this place is perfect! Highly recommend :)

My cousin and I were in town to attend a concert and needed a place to stay for two nights near the Dos Equis Pavilion within a reasonable price. This guest house was the best place to stay for my cousin and I. The neighborhood was nice, peaceful, and quiet. The only negative experiences we had were the very low water pressure from the shower and the inward bulging section on the left side of the fence when driving in and backing out of the driveway. Overall, it was wonderful and we will definitely book this property again!!

Excellent except one thing
Please consider moving the leaves/debris at the bottom of the gate so it can be pushed in more flush with the fence. The driveway is very narrow making it harrowing to back out especially at night and even during the day. Hitting one’s side mirrors, your brick wall, or the gate is very hard to maneuver.

I stayed in the garage apartment, the interior was nice. There was a good amount of mold along the wall of the shower. A few ants, bugs and cobwebs in the bathroom also. When I took out some trash, the back gate was old and a picket broke off. The garage isn't exactly accessible by car as the fence alongside the driveway veers into the driveway.

Easy access into the Cottage and was quite clean and very comfortable. Very close to most areas of Dallas and Greenville offers good restaurants and bars.

Loved this little studio apartment. It had everything we needed and it was perfectly located near the four activities that we had planned. Super easy check in with great description of all electronics and extra supplies. Really appreciate the professional hospitality. Thanks to the hosts!
