About this house rental
IMPORTANT: 5-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY - NO PETS NOTE: Bend Porter House is not only immaculately cleaned for all guests, but during COVID IT IS ADDITIONALLY STEAM CLEANED. Therefore, there is an additional $35 for cleaning. This is a contemporary 1,740 sq. foot townhouse that has been completely remodeled. It is unlike any other Mt. Bachelor Village townhouse, as it has high ceilings, hardwood floors, open concept, central A/C and heating, large gourmet kitchen and state-of-the-art bathrooms. Enjoy the view and sound of the Deschutes River. Prepare meals in the large fully-equipped gourmet kitchen. There is easy wifi throughout the house, plus flat screen tv’s in both bedrooms and the great room, including music stations for every preference. There are two decks over-look the Deschutes River; they are off the master suite and dining area, with bar-b-q and patio furniture for dining or relaxing. NOTE: The two bedrooms and bathrooms are on separate floors, making this less desirable for small children. The complete laundry room has multi-option washer / dryer. To secure your sports equipment, there is a locked garage. Run or walk on the easily accessible River Trail, a path along the Deschutes! Enjoy nearby breweries, restaurants and cafés! Swim and play using the outdoor amenities on MBV property, i.e., swimming pool (March - October) and year-around hot tub! (Access may vary during COVID.) This home is very well located between nature and all activities / entertainment that Bend has to offer. It is a straight 20-minute scenic ride to Mt. Bachelor, with biking, hiking and lakes in between, while conveniently situated within 1.2 miles to the Old Mill District (can walk there) or 2.3 miles to downtown. Being on the west side of Bend, there are unlimited restaurants, breweries, cafés, shops, etc., plus golf courses, biking, kayaking, hiking, skiing, snow-shoeing, rafting and more. NOTE: Conducive to adult lifestyle. Overnight occupancy is maximum 4 adults. - Holiday rates apply to all holidays and surrounding days when applicable.

Everything about this property was first class and its location on the bank of the Deschutes River was perfect. We will definitely book it again if/when we return to Bend.

This condo is totally furnished not only with nice furniture and comfortable beds, as well as all the kitchen utensils and pots and pans….it has an unrivaled view of the Deschutes River from the deck, which has 6 comfortable swivel rockers! We spent every evening on the deck with a glass of wine, just taking in the view and the occasional deer, rabbit, chipmunk sighting!
We had to contact the management team once for a minor problem and they were there to fix it immediately. We were very impressed!
The only negative is…..they could use more wine glasses!! 😁

We’ve stayed in many nice vacation homes, yet this was the best. It was clean, tastefully appointed and the location is ideal. It overlooks the Deschutes River; it’s just 20 minutes straight to Mt. Bachelor and also close to restaurants, cafés, the Old Mill District, downtown, etc. - This place has a gourmet kitchen with all the condiments, spices, etc., you need. Owner and site manager were responsive and communicated well. We will return and highly recommend this place.

Perfect Ski Week
We (spouse + couple) had an excellent stay and would highly recommend. The condo was well appointed to relax by the fire after skiing, getting some work from home completed and also an excellent kitchen for some home cooked meals. The location was perfect, both in terms of a scenic view above the river with sporadic deer visits and a great location for a short drive to Mt Bachelor. Would stay here again next time we're in Bend

We had a very nice week at the River View Townhouse. The unit is just as presented on VRBO -- nicely finished and well-equipped, super clean, comfortable, and a great view of the river. The hosts were very responsive and everything was easy. We hope to come back again!

Perfect Bend Condo
We have stayed a couple of places in Bend and outside of the downtown area. This by far was our favorite! Perfect for a couple or 2 couples. Updated and spacious, it is like a treehouse that looks over the mighty Deschutes River. Close to walking trails and the Mill District and only 25 minutes to the ski hill. It is a quiet complex which we appreciated. We will return!

Amazing!
This place was perfect! We stay at a lot of rental houses all over the country and this is easily one of our very favorites! The house is immaculate. Every single thing about it. It's comfortable, great amenities... Couldn't ask for more. And the view is spectacular. The communication with the property managers was very quick and helpful. We cannot wait to book it again!

Lovely home to watch the snow fall
We have stayed at Mt. Bachelor Village many times over the past 20 years and this home has been amazing. We love the renovations and the location. It was wonderful to listen to the river and watch the snow fall by the fire and comfortable sofas.
The kitchen was a joy to cook in and enjoy our family. It makes having to eat in a lot of fun.
We hope to return and enjoy the changing of the seasons.
We really enjoyed skiing in the morning and coming back to a beautiful place. Thank you.

Perched over the DeSchuttes river this condo is wonderful! Close to walking path and short ride to town, really great place. Hosts where responsive and easy to work with.

Perfect match: unit+location
Great location in Bend. Well updated unit with great service. Only downside is the queen beds with no king. Probably won’t be back because just too cramped for us. Lighting system is nice but hard to manage when you need lights and reader glasses to read all of the buttons. Pretty cool tho. Helpful hosts. Will recommend this unit to friends.

This is one beautiful place. Nicely remodeled with top of the line appliances. The views from the deck are remarkable and you can hear the river flowing down below! Beds are very comfortable. The grounds were beautifully manicured. Superb service. Thank you Courtney and Sue!

Great Place in Great Location
The home was beautiful with very high end finishes. The pride in ownership definitely showed. The open concept living and kitchen was great. The master bedroom/bathroom is actually a loft, and is open to the downstairs. This may be an issue for privacy if that was a concern. My family who lives locally is already excited for us to return to rent this beautiful home.

Gorgeous place & views!
Stunningly appointed place with amazing views of the Deschutes River from balcony patio. Loved sitting and watching and hearing the river. We even saw a deer! River trails are walking distance. Managers were very helpful with questions. Would stay here again!

Always a great experience
Our 5th visit to the Porter House! We frequent the rental home option in our travels, and this home is our favorite. Bend is a fun and active place and the Porter house offers the best experience: A beautiful home that is located within walking distance of the Mill District yet the experience and view is forest and the Deschutes River canyon. It well-appointed and managed by an owner and team who provide excellent service and attention to your stay.

This property exceeded all our expectations. The setting is unbelievable. Right on the river. We have rented a lot of vrbo homes this one was the best. Very well stocked with all the basics. Kitchen had all necessary equipment. I highly recommend this condo. We did not want to leave. Owners and staff exceptional.

Wonderful Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful condo. The amenities were first rate and the location was perfect. We felt we were somewhat outside the city but could travel to various locations within the area in minutes. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. In addition, the owner was great to work with. We would highly recommend this lovely home.

Location and Elegance rolled into one
This is an absolutely beautiful property with up market amenities in spades. The kitchen was spotlessly clean with gorgeous granite countertops, professional grade gas range and a stainless steel refrigerator. The bedrooms were very spacious, complete with custom cabinetry, elegant furnishings, and the sort of shower fixtures one often finds in five-star hotels. In terms of location, the property is in a quiet setting where you can see and hear the river from both balconies, witness deer feeding in the early morning, and hawks hunting right outside the living room windows. In addition, this location has several hiking trails within a five minute walk, and is within easy distance of swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. along with shopping and dining in the Mill district. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful modern home, breathtaking views!
This was our second trip staying at the Bend Porter House, and it was as amazing as our first! The home was spotlessly clean and the furnishings are upscale and beautiful. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with everything you could want from high-end appliances to spices and condiments, and we had great fun cooking meals. The views of the Deschutes River are truly amazing. We spent much time out on the spacious deck, and fell asleep at night to the soothing river sounds. The high ceilings and special lighting throughout were luxurious and made the home feel even larger. The master suite is great, huge walk-in shower with many types of jets and large closet. The several TVs are full-size and modern. Location is great, just far enough that you feel secluded among the big trees, yet close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. The owner and her team are excellent at communication. This is not your standard rental, and very much more upscale. We will be back! Thank you!

Great Bend Retreat For Our Family
Our stay in this Bend townhouse was the first part of our family vacation. After staying at this house for five nights, we wished we had planned the entire trip here. The view of the river canyon is fantastic, and the back porch area is so relaxing. The townhouse is well furnished, making it easy to feel at home. A 2.5 mile trail loop from the property to and along the Deschutes River is perfect for a little exercise, and the pool at the resort was accessible and very nice. The townhouse is about a 3-minute drive or a long walk to the Old Mill District with riverfront parks along the way. It really was the perfect place for us to have fun in Bend and return to a relaxing home. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, comfortable home for a vacation
This home has been beautifully remodeled and is great for a short or long stay. The most important thing to me wherever I stay is that it be clean. This home met and exceeded my standards. It is a comfortable place to hang out or return to after enjoying Bend activities.The condominium has quality appliances, TV's, music. The kitchen is nicely appointed with a variety of small appliances, and cooking equipment. The master bath shower is fabulous with many shower heads and water features. There is plenty of cabinet and closet space for all belongings. The property has hiking paths, a pool and other amenities. The location is close to the Old Mill District and downtown. The view of the river from this condo is also a wonderful bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

High end beautiful spot overlooking the river!
My husband and I spent a little over a month at the Bend Porter House this spring while looking to relocate. It was a wonderful spot to call 'home' while we were looking for our own. The Townhouse is beautiful; amazingly finished. We loved cooking meals in the fantastic kitchen, BBQ's out on the deck, cozying up in the living room with a movie, and listening to the river at night while we slept. We also appreciated how open the space was with the high ceilings, not to mention the two great bathrooms with huge showers and double sinks in both. The pool opened while we were there so we had a lot of fun swimming and hot tubbing (a couple minute walk from the condo).
Sue (owner) was very kind and easy to work with and her team on the ground (Jenny and Courtney) were on top of everything 100%. The location is perfect. 5 minute drive to just about everything you'd need in town yet a feeling of being away from it all at the same time.
This place definitely deserves the 5 star rating all the guests give, and we'll add 2 thumbs way up as well!

It is even better than the photos. Modern and fully equipped, this is a wonderful “home base” for your visit to Bend. Sue and her team are great to work with and they made our entire experience a delight. The location is close to town yet quiet and very comfortable. This is a gem!

Great location & Beautiful property
We had a wonderful time and the view of the river was gorgeous. The house was perfect; beautifully outfitted, extremely comfortable, and well-stocked with more supplies and incidentals than you could hope for in a rental . Sue, you have put a LOT of thought, time, effort, and dollars into your place. It shows! And we appreciated it all - almost too nice for a rental, but we loved it and took great care of everything. My kids said they liked it better than our house and wanted to move here! In fact on the first night my son kept walking around singing the Coldplay song, "Paradise," referring of course to your home. And when I forgot my beloved tempurpedic pillow, you very kindly mailed it back to me - thank you! We definitely hope to return soon :-)

Our favorite vacation spot!
Some friends had recommended this place, and it was definitely worth the stay. It is completely renovated in excellent taste. The contemporary kitchen complete with all supplies, condiments and herbs and spices made cooking a real pleasure. We also enjoyed bar-b-queuing and eating outside on the two decks overlooking the beautiful Deschutes river. We were close to all outdoor activities and town as well. Bend Porter House was exceptionally clean and communicating with the owner and Jenny was easy.

Fabulous place and location
The Porter house exceeded my expectations. We were coming into town for a tournament and all of the hotels were book. I am thrilled that they were because I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The view from the decks are amazing, all of the updates and amenities of the home were top notch. They thought of everything...from a few quick snacks when you arrive to a detailed book on things to do and about the house. I hope to return soon! Thank you!

The pictures and previous renters comments lead to our decision to rent the Bend Porter House. Our first look at the home told us the pictures and comments were all correct.
