This cabin has a lot of amazing features. The modern upgrades add a nice touch to the cabin. The location of the cabin was extremely close to the Village and many restaurants. Great customer service from the property manager Joffrey. We are already planning our next visit to this awesome place!

The Cabin was cute. However the power kept going off and we had to constantly flip the power box thing. The main heater also went out on the second day. We couldnt get it back even when fusing the pilot. So we were cold! They did have portable heaters that came in handy but with the power going off it was a constant struggle. The shower on the main floor was literally just dripps you had to throw on yourself to rinse off. And shower downstairs was either was hot or cold. And wet the soaked the floor.

The property owner Joffrey was very accommodating and communicative. We enjoyed my son's birthday while we were there and made beautiful memories. It was a great price point and we loved how close it was to the Village. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a cozy remote cabin that isn't too far away from attractions and events.

My family and I really enjoyed this cabin. The video games and bunk beds were a hit with my kids. We loved playing pool in the “man cave” and how close the property is to Lake Arrowhead Village.

Overall the scenery the location the weather was all so beautiful communication with the owner wasn’t a hassle although cleanliness within the cabin meaning couple spider encounters. I would say are 3.5 out of five there wasn’t a lot of spiders but we did come across a couple and just the garage we weren’t able to enjoy it as we’d like to. I would’ve love to be down there playing pool and the games but I guess the seasons make the difference and now I’m aware of that, he allowed me to bring my kitty which I appreciated so overall it was a memory I’ll never forget the front balcony used it as much as we could breakfast lunch and dinner the outlook, beautiful, breathtaking such a relaxing, chill vibe we got to play a little music and just enjoy the outdoors because I am an outdoor port person loved that. I’m thankful that he allowed me and my partner to be a part of that home for Fourth of July.

This was a “cozy” cottage for sure. I stayed for 4 weeks and vacated a week early from this property due to ice and snow rendering it inaccessible to me, as well as a broken heater. While it’s aesthetics are charming, functionally it’s not worth the hassle. There is no garage for your vehicle, no washer or dryer, and accessibility is an issue if you have mobility impediments both outside of the home as well as inside. All the bedrooms are up a very steep staircase and bathroom, kitchen, and toilet are downstairs respectively making mobility at night a hazard for all. My small dog would not go up or down the stairs.
Pros:
it’s charming
It’s close to grocery stores
45-60 min drive to big bear/snow summit (not ski on ski off as listed in the features of the home)
Cons:
Beds are old and horribly uncomfortable, bedding, pillows, and towels were old, smelly and mismatched, and rugs in home stained and in need of replacement. No vacuum to tidy up (I bought one for the home as a gift)
Plumbing frequently backs up exposing food in sink and excrement in the front yard/slope - upon check in there was a plumber under the sink in the home … the plumber had to return numerous times during my stay and I had to open up the home to others when I was not there - safety concerns
The neighbors dogs are unsafe for children and absolutely violate sound ordinances - they are owned by the head of the HOA
Water pressure in shower is poor
Scalding water
Nosy neighbors that are less than welcoming
All in all, the homeowner was very responsive and apologetic for issues that occurred, but was unable to have them remediated in a timely and appropriate manner for a home owner and rental property manager as he lives a few hours away. He was kind enough to bring up a new gas grill as a precious storm damaged the existing one, but I had to purchase the propane which was also left at the property as a gift.
Would recommend for one night only - better off elsewhere for any amount of time after that.

We stayed here for 5 days during Christmas! We had an amazing visit. The house is so cozy and a perfect size for our group of 4. The beds were comfortable and while the cabin is certainly nostalgic in style and decore, the bathroom(s) and kitchen are modern so everything was in perfect working order. We kept the fire going in the fireplace every night and made wonderful memories over smore's and board games! The snow on Christmas day was an added bonus! We even saw a family of foxes on our last day. We were able to get into and out of the location with no problems at all. We found this cabin to be everything we needed it to be to escape from the hustle and bustle of LA life during these trying Covid times. We would definitely visit again if the opportunity presented itself. The owners were amazingly responsive and helpful throughout the entire booking process.

This was a nice cottage in a good location fairly near the downtown area. The owner was responsive to help.
The only issues were that the place was very small, it didn't have good wifi, and was soooo cold! We arrived at 4pm, turned on the heat immediately, and by 8 pm it was still only 54 degrees. We figured out the problem later that night. While watching a movie the internet went out, and then the heating turned off, so we realized the heat was linked to the internet.
Since the internet was not good, we had limited internet and therefore not much heat. Most of the time in the cottage we wore big jackets and sweatshirts because it was about 50 degrees.

My husband and I stayed at Joffrey’s home for a little over a month. As in the pictures, the home is tastefully decorated and the addition of the barn doors on the adjoining rooms were great. There’s about 4 beds in total - queen bed was comfortable and perfect for us. Water pressure could be a bit stronger in the shower but hardly a dealbreaker. Internet is very fast and we had no issues working from home. Plenty of board games and movies if you get bored. Note - you will probably not get phone service (welcome to the mountains!) but they have a landline and you can turn on WiFi text/calling for service. The pool room in the garage was awesome and comes with a plug in speaker. Joffrey also was always responsive, which we appreciated. The highlight is the location as it’s about 2 miles from the village where we had the pleasure of having a couple nights at Oktoberfest and joining our favorite gym overlooking the lake, Arrowhead Fitness! Overall, a lovely retreat for us!

The house is in a great location, and the side yard is amazing. Though it's not far from the village, the patio transports you to a quiet, calm woodsy setting. There are squirrels and Steller's Jays everywhere, and it's a great place for people who love nature and bird watching. The bedrooms are all loft-style, so none of them have doors, which was fine for us, but I wish I had known beforehand. This really is a rustic place -- older, small, and cozy -- nothing fancy. But the kitchen is a good size and the balcony and patio area are fantastic. The bonus pool table in the garage is also great. We honestly didn't leave other than to go hiking and to the store. It's a great place for a weekend.

Perfect getaway!
We were trying to find a Covid-safe getaway for a few days over spring break, and could not have been more pleased with our experience. The cabin was perfect for our family of 5, and we had the best time fishing at Lake Gregory, exploring Heap’s Peak and the village, and playing pool in the man cave. Would highly recommend.

My family had the best time on this property for 6 nights in December!!!! The Town of Lake Arrowhead is absolutely gorgeous! The cabin is just a few minutes from Lake arrowhead Village and is just about a 7 minute drive to Santa’s Village! Joffrey is the best Landlord! We got snowed in our last night of our stay and was always available if we had any questions or concerns. He had a couple of guys come and dig us out of the driveway so we can get out safely and return home. We had the best Christmas here and many great memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you Joffrey. We will be back for sure!
